A Proposal ... of sorts!
Ladybug landed heavily on their meeting rooftop, the anger radiating from her. She knew she needed to chill out, she knew she was pushing this too far, but he'd crossed the line today ... he was so far past it, it was only a simple dot on the horizon.
"Hey Bug," a sheepish voice sounded behind her, and it took everything she had to not turn around, wrap him in her yo-yo and yeet him onto the Eiffel Tower.
"I guess you're not talking to me at the moment then?" She ignored him again, opening her yo-yo and looking if the others had made their way to the meeting places. She had six Miraculous' to get back and only three minutes left on her timer. Ignoring him was the only way she was going to get through this without revealing her identity.
They'd been dating for three weeks, three wonderful, blissful weeks, where he fawned over her and adored her more than she ever thought anyone could, and then he did this. He just had to open his big glorious mouth.
"Stay here," she hissed, launching herself over rooftops. She couldn't look at him in the face yet. She didn't want to cave in. She was stubborn and as much as she was working on it, it was still a dominant trait of hers.
They got together on Marinette's nineteenth birthday. It wasn't a surprise that it'd happened, it seemed more often than not they'd fumble into hugs, and kisses, with each time escalating into full rooftop make outs, it was about time really that it was official.
They just seemed to have grown closer the older they got. A quick peck on the cheek when they were fifteen and she was still unsure of her feelings, a sweet kiss on the lips in celebration of her turning a 'sweet' sixteen, her first french kiss at seventeen and a full on make out at eighteen. She was happy he took the plunge and made her commit. She wanted it, but she was just too scared to admit it.
No one knew about their relationship, not even Alya, it was their little secret. Until today. When Chat had, once again, to be zapped into non-existence. Just as he began to fade away he declared that his girlfriend was his undying love, and that he had Jagged Stone VIP passes for their next date, 'so if you just name drop, LB, you'll be let in.'
Well, of course it would be an akuma where a large selection of heroes were needed and, of course, all those heroes heard his declaration, as did 'Hawkmoth'. Each smirking behind hidden hands as her face matched the colour of her suit. It was the first time ever she wondered if using her 'Miraculous Ladybug's' were a good idea. After a lot of persuasion from Alya, including her best friend physically throwing the lucky charm in the air by moving her arm, the cat was back, but she was still grumpy with him, and determined to let him stew. He knew exactly what he'd done wrong.
A few minutes later, Ladybug had returned, all the Miraculous' back in the Miracle Box, and Chat Noir was standing, holding a red rose in his hands. She tried not to smile as she saw it exactly for what it was. An apology. He was spinning it between his fingers, and she could see he was nervous.
"I take it you want a divorce?" He looked up at her from under his eyelashes, his eyes widening and lips frowning down.
"I think you've missed a step or two there, Kitty. We're not even married."
"True," Ladybug watched as he walked closer, one hand behind his back before getting onto one knee. "Well, I suppose we need to do that first then?"
Her hands covered her mouth as Chat Noir pulled out a beautiful diamond ring ... he just had to be joking. Didn't he? She loved him, of course, but hadn't even said that to each other since they'd been dating, both dancing around the 'L' word like it was a handbag at Ladies Night.
"This is not allowed to be how you propose to me." She sassed, raising her eyebrows at her feline boyfriend. He looked back at the ring and then her face.
"So is that a yes or ..."

"Marinette! Where the hell have you been?" Running into the classroom and heading to her seat, she could feel the sweat dripping down her back. Why did it have to be such a hot day? Or was it just her that was hot?
She pulled her books out of her bag and slammed them on the desk. Luckily it was only their business class, and the lecturer always ran late anyway.
"I had to speak to 'you-know-who'?" Marinette turned her head to look at Alya, reaching down for her bag again.
"Talking about 'you-know-who', when were you going to tell me?" Her voice had lowered down, her words a whispered hiss. Marinette squeaked, knocking her bag over and letting all the items fall onto the floor. She turned her head to the floor only to collide with another.
"Ouch!" Her eyes closed sharply, the pain throbbed repeatedly through her head.
"Are you okay?" The voice soothed the pain like honey, and she opened her eyes to see wonderful, beautiful green ones ... green ones that she shouldn't be staring at and melting into.
"Adrien, hi, um, yeah, are you?"
"Yeah, I'm fine. Here let me help you."
Marinette sprung out of her seat crouching down on the floor in front of Adrien, gathering all her things together. She reached out for her tablet with her right hand before noticing an apple escaping to the left.
Stretching out, someone's hand beat her to it, and she grabbed Adrien's hand instead. An embarrassed blush covered her cheeks and she tried to move her hand away only for a second hand to stop her.
"We're engaged." His voice was horse and full of emotion.
"No, no, I don't think we are." Marinette looked into Adrien's eyes as he lifted her ringed hand to his lips and pressed a delicate kiss to it. Her breath caught in her throat, what was happening?
"You said 'yes'? I can't believe it. This is the happiest day of my life." His voice was full of wonder as he looked at her, like she was his heaven on Earth and her betraying heart screamed for him. She was over this ... she was with Chat. The guy she physically couldn't live without in her life.
"I don't think -" she tried to pull her hand back, only for Adrien to tighten his grip.
"You said and I quote; 'even though this is the worst proposal in history, I am going to think about it because you're my soulmate.'"
"No, no, I didn't! This is the first time I've spoken to you today." She was clearly just repeating the same words over and over again, unable to comprehend what the hell he was talking about. No, no, no ... no.
She was reverting back to when she couldn't form sentences. She was nineteen now, goddamn it! She had a wonderful boyfriend, who was her soulmate, and she was wearing an engagement ring. An engagement ring Adrien was studying on her finger.
"Come on, Bugaboo, you can't tell me you wearing my ring isn't a yes."
"Y-y-your ring?." Her eyes almost fell out of her head.
"Yes!"
"You ... me ... together? Marriage?"
He took her hand again and placed another kiss over the ring. "It sure seems like it, M'Lady."
"I'm engaged to ... oh this is too much."
"Does it change things knowing it's me?"
"No, I gave up on you for you, and now I've ended up with you anyway."
"Soulmates," his face looked like a child who'd just been given a pack of sweets for good behaviour, and been promised a trip to the toy shop. "I used Marinette's ring finger size for that, by the way."
"It's a good job, it was for Marinette then." She wiggled her eyebrows at her recently uncovered partner.
"There's my Buginette," Adrien let go of her hands and helped get the rest of her things together. His smile was infectious and she couldn't help grinning from ear to ear too.
"Do you still want to do this?"
"Of course, why wouldn't I?" He asked, eyebrows creased together, obviously he didn't have the same shock as she had just had.
"We haven't said we love each other." She whispered.
"I thought I was obvious with that, you know proposing and all, but if that's what you need -" he jumped up onto his bench seat, coughing once, twice, three times until all attention was on them. "Hi, listen up everyone! I, Adrien Agreste, want to declare my undying love for Marinette Dupain-Cheng, so much so that I proposed to her about thirty minutes ago -"
A loud scream of 'no' sounded from the back of the room, and Marinette was quite sure it had come from Lila, however only one person had her attention at the moment.
"- and she said yes!" Gasps circulated around the room as Marinette covered her eyes only to fuel the fire more by displaying her ring to the entire class.
A secondary scream was heard, followed by a thump.
"Marinette Dupain-Cheng," he jumped down in front of her and cupped her cheeks in his hands, they were slightly cold but she didn't care. They'd help bring down the burning in her cheeks, "I love you and I can't wait for you to be my wife."
He bent his head down to kiss her, the room erupting into applause, wolf whistles and some not so well wishes shouting out that they were too young. Neither cared though. This was everything that they'd ever wanted, including Lila being dragged out by her ankles after passing out on her bench.
Life was sweet.
