"SONA, YEH TILU KAUN HAI?"

Sonakshi who was talking to Nani suddenly found her voice choke as soon as she heard Elena say that, for a second she could not be sure whether she heard it right.

"Kya, Kya kaha tuney?" she asked Elena who could clearly see the confusion etched on her sister's face as everyone looked on.

"Mainey poocha, Ye Tilu kaun hai? Ye tere phone pe kisi Tilu ka message aaya hai" Elena replied as Sonakshi mentally slapped herself for saving Dev's number on his nickname, she thought it would be a little secret to herself but now she was regretting that. She was trying to quickly think of an answer as she know if Elena would come to know of the truth she would tease her endlessly.

"Wo, Wo actually Ek dost hai" she replied stammering a bit which did not go unnoticed by Elena.

"Accha, Pehle toh kabhi nahi suna tere iss dost ke baarey main aur Ye kaisa naam hai TILU, aisey lagta hai jaisey kisi chotey bachey ka naam ho" said Elena chuckling as Sonakshi glared at her, she quickly had to find a way out of this sticky situation before Elena asked more about it.

"Haan, ye Thodey na zaroori hai ki tu mere har dost ke baarey main janey" she replied and snatched her phone. She turned towards Nani and said "Nani main apney kamrey main Jaa rahi hoon" and without waiting for her reply hurried towards her room with the luggage

"Issey kya hua?" Elena turned towards others and asked seeing Sonakshi run away to her room.

"Tu bhi naa Elena, Bechari thak gay hogi aur tu hai ki usey sawal pe sawal kiye ja rahi thi?" said Asha as everyone nodded though Elena did not seem convinced, just as everyone proceeded for doing their respective chores.

Just as everyone left Elena caught hold of Saurabh "Dada, Aapko nahi lagta ki kuch toh gadbad hai" she asked as Saurabh looked at her surprised and asked "Matlab?"

"Matlab, aapko Sona ka reaction ajeeb nahi laga, aisa nahi laga ki wo kuch humsey cchupa rahi hai?" she replied as Saurabh pondered over Elena's word and said "Haan Elena, Tu sahi keh rahi hai kuch toh baat hai. Lekin pata kaisey lagaye?"

"Wo aap mujhpe chod do" she said and hi-fived Sourabh who went to attend to his pregnant wife after that.

As soon as Sonakshi reached her room, she closed the door and sat down on her bed panting, she felt as if she had just run a 100m race, which in essence was exactly what she had done in order to avoid the questions from Elena, as she composed herself she looked at the message which had sent.

Dev (D): Hey!!! Hi, How r u? Reached Home?

A smile played on Sonakshi' lips as she read the message, she quickly replied.

Sonakshi (S): Hey, I am fine. Reached home sometime back. How r u?

She sent and waited for his reply, it seemed as if Dev was waiting for her reply as her phone buzzed with his message with in the next few seconds

D: I am fine, so how was your flight back home? Dropped Water-cups on someone again? 😜😜😜

S:😡😡😡😡😡

D: Hey don't get angry, Anyways tell me how your flight was?

S: It was great, how was your day at work?

D: It was good but quiet hectic,😓😓just reached back to the hotel room

S: Oh! Ok, when are you coming back to Delhi?

D: Tomorrow evening, hey listen. Someone's at the door, must be Avni. Need to head for Dinner. Will catch you later, Bye!!

S: Ok, Bye and have a safe flight back 🙂😀

D: Thanks, Bye. Good night🙂

S: Good night🙂🙂

And thus ended their first ever telephonic chat, it was a short one yet that was enough to bring a smile of both of their faces, it was surprising for both that even though they had just met a day before yet they could talk to each other freely, Sonakshi was brought out of her reverie by the knock on the door.

She got up and opened the door to be greeted by Elena who had a Devilish smile on her face, as soon as Sonakshi saw her smile she knew there was something cooking in her little sister's mind, she had her guard up as she suspected what Elena was about to ask.

"Tuney darwaza kyun band kiya?" Elena asked

"Wo, Wo main change kar rahi thi isiliye"? Sonakshi replied back confidently

"Accha, lekin tut oh abhi bhi wahi kapdon main hai" Elena replied as Sonakshi hit herself mentally once again for putting herself in a sticky situation

"Wo, Wo actually ek call aaya tha, toh baat baat kartey kartey der ho gayi aur itne main tu aa gayi toh change karna reh gaya" she replied as Elena nodded as Sonakshi sighed in relief thinking that Elena believed in her but little did she what Elena was about to ask.

"Hmm, Accha. Waisey call kiska aaya tha? Tilu ka? Elena said and once again Sonakshi was left tongue tied, this younger cousin of hers was one persistent girl and she knew that without knowing the whole matter she would not let it go, how she had wished had she not seen Dev's message she would have been spared of this.

"Kya, Elena kuch bhi bol rahi hai. Uska call kyun aayega. Wo toh... Haan, Wo Reena ka call aaya tha. Ye poochney ke liye ki main safely ghar phohonch gayi hoon ya nahi" Sonakshi replied hoping that Elena would believe her and to her luck she did. Just then they heard Asha calling them for Dinner as Sonakshi excused herself and went to the washroom for freshening up.

Just as Sonakshi went Elena smirked and thought "Abhi toh bach gayi Sona lekin main toh pata laga ke rakhungi ki yeh Tilu kaun hai" as she smiled to herself and went down for the Dinner.

The Bose family was just settling down for the Dinner when Jatin entered after his day at work, it was Bijoy who saw him first.

"Arey Jatin, Aa gaye beta. Der ho gayi aaj" he asked

"Haan Mesho, actually Parson Ek important meeting hai ussi ke liye prepare kar raha tha, Isi liye der ho gayi" he replied as Bijoy nodded just as Sonakshi came down

"Arey Sona, aa gayi tu. Kaisa tha tera pehla day at work" he enquired

"Wonderful, Bohot accha tha" she replied with a smile as Jatin smiled back just then Nani intervened asking Jatin to freshen up and join for the Dinner as everyone else settled down at the Dinner table.

"Waisey Maa, aap pooch rahi thi naa ki koi NGO hai jahan hum Baba ke naam par kuch donation kar sakey, toh mainey meri ek friend se baat ki thi. Usney mujhey ek NGO ke baarey main bataya tha ZINDAGI. Toh hum wahan jaa saktey hai" said Asha as she served food to everyone

"Ye toh acchi baat hai Asha, Hum isi Sunday jaayenge wahan" Nani replied as Asha nodded, Nani continued "Waisey Sona, Tu bhi aayegi naa humarey saath"

"Main bhi aana chahti thi Dadi, Lekin ussi Din meri Kolkata ki flight pe duty hai toh main nahi aa sakti" she said sadly as Nani nodded and asked her to not get saddened as work came first, just as Jatin joined them for the Dinner.

"Waisey Jatin ye kaunsa client jisskey saath tumhari meeting hai parson?" Bijoy asked Jatin but as he was about to reply Asha intervened

"Bijoy, main ney kitni baar kaha hai ki Dinner table pe no work related talks. Kab smajhogey tum" Asha scolded him as Bijoy whimpered like a scared cat while everyone laughed out looking at his situation. The rest of the Dinner passed peacefully after which they retired for the night.

At Ishwari Niwas (The next evening)

"Bhaiya, Avni Di" shouted Nikki as she jumped on to them for a hug as soon as they entered. Dev and Avni had just arrived from Mumbai, their flight was delayed by a couple of hours due to the Bad weather conditions and it was a little late in the night when they had arrived.

"Arey Nikki aaram se unhey andar toh aaney de" said Ishwari seeing Nikki jump on them which she just ignored.

"Bhaiya, Avni Di. Kya laye aap mere liye Mumbai se" Nikki asked them as they just chuckled at her impatience, just as Riya came from her room, she hugged them both and turning towards Nikki she said "Nikki, Unhey pehle aaram se freshen up honey de phir aaram se dekhengey, Waisey bhi Avni Di aaj yahi rehney wali hai"

Before Avni could protest Dadi added "Ye ekdam sahi baat kahi Riya ne, Avni aaj tu yehi reh jaa" as Avni replied "Dadi Lekin....." before she could continue Dev said "Kya Tu itna bhaav kha rahi hai, Bola naa dadi ne aaj tu yahi rahegi" as Dadi nodded. Seeing no way out Avni agreed and went with Riya to freshen up as Dev went to his room.

Dev had just entered his room and put his phone for charging as the battery had drained out. As he switched on the phone, there several messages which popped up but one message caught his eye, it was from Sonakshi.

Sonakshi (S): Hey Good evening!! Reached Delhi??

As Dev saw the message a smile formed on his face, it was quite late in the night so he was contemplating whether to reply to the message or not. But putting his thoughts aside he decided to reply as he thought it would be pretty rude of him if he did not.

Dev (D): Hey, Good evening, Yes just reached home

Not expecting any reply from her as it was late he kept his phone aside and went to the washroom to freshen up. After sometime when he came out, he saw his phone buzz. As he picked it up he saw a message from Sonakshi which surprised him as it was quite late.

Sonakshi(S): So late?? Flight got delayed??

D: Ya, Got delayed by 3 hours due to bad weather.☹️☹️☹️

S: Oh, So had your Dinner?

D: Nope, Just going to have. But what are you doing up so late?

S: Actually just returned to the hotel room after Dinner, In Ahmedabad right now. Had an evening flight duty

D: Oh! Ok, then you must be tired. Take rest then.

S: You too, Have your Dinner and sleep🙂

D: Alright Ma'am👍👍

S:😀😀😀

D: Ok, Bye. Take care, Good Night🙂

S: GN TC🙂🙂

Once again it was a short exchange between them but as earlier it warmed their hearts, they felt an unknown connection, yes they were new friends but it did not seem so to them. A faint smile played on Dev's lips as he kept looking at the message just as Nikki barged into the room

"Bhaiya" she screamed as Dev was brought out of his reverie. "Kya Hua Nikki itna jor se kyun chilaya" he replied

"Wo Maa kabsey aapko bula rahi hai Dinner ke liye lekin aapney koi jawab hi nahi diya toh mujhey aana pada yahan. Kahan they aap, Jawab kyun nahi de rahey they" she enquired as Dev looked sheepishly unable to understand how to reply.

"Wo, kuch nahi washroom main tha isi liye shayad sunayi nahi diya, Tu chal main aata hoon" he said as Nikki nodded and went, just before going out of the room she turned and said "Aur haan, neechey aatey samay humarey gifts lete huey aana" she ordered and left the room as Dev just shook his head listening to his youngest sister.

"Dev, Avni Tum dono ne na inn dono ko kafi sarr pe chadakey rakha hai, kya zaroorat thi itney gifts laaney ki" said Ishwari to both who had just settled down on the Dinner table after giving Nikki and Riya their gifts

"Aunty, inhey gifts nahi doongi toh aur kisey doongi. Aakhir ye dono meri choti behney hai aur inhey pamper karney ka mujhey poora haq hai" Avni replied as Nikki and Riya hugged her from both sides while Dadi and Ishwari just nodded their heads in defeat knowing they could never win with this girl.

As they were having their Dinner Avni spoke "Waisey Dev, Tu bohot din orphanage nahi aaya. Aarya aur Asmita tere bhi tere baarey main pooch rahey they. Bol rahey they ki HANDSOME itney din kyun nahi aaye" as Dev smiled remembering the 7-year old brother sister duo who were brought to the orphanage when they were 3 year old. They were saved from a brothel where their mother was trapped and had succumbed to HIV leaving the kids behind all alone. Dev had his way with kids, they seemed to love him a lot and vice versa. But with these two he had formed a special bond.

"Haan yar, Mujhey bhi aana hai lekin aaj kal ye kaam main itna busy hoon ki waqt hi nahi mil raha. Unsey kehna ki main bohot jald unsey milney aaunga" Dev said as Avni nodded in agreement

"Waisey Orphange se yaad aaya Ishwari bohot din ho gaye main bhi nahi gayi wahan, Iss Sunday main bhi Chalungi tere saath" she said while Ishwari nodded, turning towards Dev Dadi said "Waisey Tilu, tu bhi kyun nahi chalta humarey saath"

"Dadi, Wo actually Iss Sunday mujhey humarey kolkata office jaana hai. Wahan kuch problem hua hai" he replied as Dadi nodded in agreement. The rest of the Dinner passed after which everyone retired for the night.

The next day Avni was working in her cabin at the MYSTIQUE AIRLINES office when her secretary reminded her about the meeting with the Creative head of the DELPHIC AD AGENCY and informed her that the person had arrived. Asking her to send him in Avni got back to her work just as she heard the knock on her cabin door. Just as Avni asked the person to come in and looked up to greet him, she was shocked as standing before her was THE KNOWN STRANGER as both said at the same time.
