"Ms.SONAKSHI BOSE, WILL YOU MARRY ME?"

As soon as Dev popped the question Sonakshi was left speechless, for a moment she thought she was dreaming and if she was she did not want to wake up from her sleep lest the dream broke. Never in her wildest dreams had she expected anyone to go to the lengths Dev had gone to make her feel special, feel loved, feel like she was the luckiest girl in the world but that was exactly what was happening with her right now, so overwhelmed was she that tears of joy had started flowing from her eyes as the smile on her lips widened, while Dev waited with bated breath for her answer, though he was sure of her answer her silence was making him nervous. Did she like the arrangements? What was she thinking? Was she ready for taking their relationship to the next step? All these thoughts were running on his mind.

"Sonakshi, I am waiting" said Dev after a few moments seeing her silent as she whispered "Yes" for a moment Dev was not sure as he asked again "Sorry?" but the next moment Sonakshi screamed in glee "Yes...Yes...Yes...Mr.Dev Dixit I will marry you, not just in this life but in each and every life of mine" she said as she pulled him up and thrashed her lips on to his as they indulged in a mind numbing kiss. For an instant Dev was taken aback but the next moment he submitted himself to her as she kissed him, it was a kiss of love, of desire, of passion and of trust, the trust they both had in each other.

After a few moments they parted breathlessly as the smile on their lips refused to die down, Dev took Sonakshi's hand into his and slipping the Ring on to her finger he said "With this I promise that I will never leave you alone Sonakshi, I will be there with you in your happiness, your sadness, your struggles, your success, your failures. At every point in your life when you look on your side you will find me with you, at each and every step, you will find me with you Sonakshi" he said as Sonakshi hugged him once again and hid her head on to his chest, after a few seconds he felt his shirt wetted.

Dev pulled Sonakshi out of his hold as he lifted her chin up, he could see the tears on her eyes and face "Sonakshi...Love...What's the matter? Why are you crying?" he asked but Sonakshi kept looking down as she moved her head to indicate it was nothing. Dev just leant forward as he kissed her eye lashes, her cheeks, her lips while Sonakshi just sucked her breath savouring the feeling of his love as Dev asked once again "Sonakshi...You know you can't hide anything from me. Now tell me what's bothering you?" he asked as Sonakshi looked at him.

She took his hands into hers "Don't Dev, don't love me so much that I can't reciprocate to it. All this feels like a dream and I fear that Dev, I fear that if it's a dream then it will break when I wake up. Don't love me so much Dev that when the reality hits me then I can't handle it" she said as she broke into tears once again as Dev hugged her once again, caressing her hair so that she calmed down. He was surprised at her reaction but then he knew that it was probably the occasion and the suddenness of it which was overwhelming her.

"Sona...shhh...shhh...first stop crying love" he said as she sniffed lightly indicating that she had calmed down as Dev made her sit on the chair as he himself settled on the floor beside her, taking her hand into his he spoke "Sonakshi firstly this is not a dream but reality, a reality of our present which will pave way for out beautiful future" he said as Sonakshi who had calmed down completely by now smiled while Dev continued "And secondly, who says that love needs to reciprocated the same way. Every individual has his or her way of expressing love. Just because I have done all this today does not mean that my love for you is more than the love that you have for me. That's now how it works Ms. Bose" he said with a smile pulling her cheeks as Sonakshi smiled as well.

"And moreover, who says that you don't reciprocate to my love?" he asked as Sonakshi looked at him in surprise wondering what he was alluding to as Dev continued "Everyday when you message me in the morning wishing me a good day, every time you ask me whether I have reached home or not, every time you chide me for not having my food on time or not getting enough sleep, every time you ask me not to get stressed about my work. All these moments that I experience everyday with you just show how much you love me Sonakshi, in fact if you ask me you love me way more than how much I love you" he said and laid his head on her lap as she caressed his hair.

"What did I do to deserve you?" she asked as Dev looked up and said "The same what I did to deserve you" he said as both smiled as Sonakshi bent down and joined her forehead with his as both stayed silent, words were not needed to convey the love they had for each other. After a few moments Dev got up and held his hand out as Sonakshi held his hand as she got up while the music played.

Dev twirled her around as Sonakshi fell on his chest while he savored her scent, he turned her around as he kissed her shoulder while Sonakshi's breathe hitched.

Turning her around he kissed her eyes as Sonakshi sucked her breathe, he moved the fringe of hair that was covering her eyes and tucked it behind her ear as she looked down, a blush forming on her cheeks and a smile adorning her face.

Dev twirled her around as she looked into his eyes while Dev kissed her once again as Sonakshi tightened her hug while the song ended. With Sonakshi in his arms Dev moved with Sonakshi to the pool side where on the floor everything was carefully arranged, a candle-lit table with all her favourite food was laid on it as both indulged themselves in to some lip smacking delicacies. After finishing their food, they headed home. On the way home Dev revealed how Elena and his sisters had helped him arrange everything as she mentally noted to thank them.

It was half past ten when Dev and Sonakshi arrived at Dixit house, Dev had told Sonakshi that all the Dixit family members wanted to celebrate her birthday as it once again warmed her heart. As they entered the house everything was pitch black as both seemed confused, suddenly the lights were on as the party poppers burst startling them as everyone in the Dixit family screamed "HAPPY BIRTHDAY SONAKSHI" as she looked startled by their sudden burst, recovering from her shock she thanked everyone after which she took the blessings of the elders of the family. As she looked around she was surprised once again as she saw her family sitting on the sofa.

"What are you guys doing here at this time?" asked Sonakshi clearly surprised to see her family at Dixit house while Dev's face also had the same confused expression as that of Sonakshi's, even he was unaware about their visit.

"That will be revealed soon, first cut the cake Sonakshi" said Avni as she along with Riya and Nikki rolled the cake out on a table, Sonakshi cut the cake and fed it to everyone while everyone in the Dixit family gifted her a few gifts which she was hesitant to take but on their insistence she could do nothing but accept it, as everyone  settled down after all the hullabaloo Sonakshi asked once again "Now will anyone tell me what are you guys doing here?"

"Actually...actually we were here to fix the dates for engagement and wedding of you two along with Jatin and Avni's" said Nani as the four of them looked at everyone in surprise. For Sonakshi though the day was just getting better, it was as if she did not want the day to end and the case was no different with Dev. But the situation was completely different for Avni and Jatin, both looked at each other nervously.

"What? You guys never said anything about it to us" said Dev in an astonished tone as Nikki replied "So Bhaiya, you don't want to get married is it?" she asked earning a glare from him as he instantly replied "I never said that Nikki" as everyone chuckled, it was very clear from his expressions the desperation he had to get legally bonded with Sonakshi.

"Alright listen to me" said Dadi as everyone looked at her while she continued "I have shown the birth charts of all the four of you to our family priest. And the good thing is that the auspicious date for the engagement for both the couples is a month from now. And we want that you guys get engaged on that day" said Dadi as everyone looked overjoyed while both the couples accepted it.

"What about the wedding dates Nirmala?" asked Leela as Dadi replied "Actually that's where there is a bit of a confusion. While for Avni and Jatin the auspicious date of wedding is two months after their engagement. For Dev and Sonakshi the date is 15 days after their engagement and if does not happen then the next possible date of wedding is only after 10 months. So, it's now up to them what they want" she said as everyone looked at Dev and Sonakshi who looked at each other, all this while Jatin and Avni were holding hands, they were still nervous.

"So, what's your decision Dev and Sonakshi?" asked Ishwari as Dev replied "Whatever date Sonakshi is fine with is fine with me as well Maa" he said as before anyone could react Riya said "Maa did you see, Bhaiya has become a Joru ka Gulaam from now only" she said as Dev glared at her while everyone chuckled, Sonakshi just ducked her head to hide her embarrassing look.

"Sonakshi, what's your decision beta?" asked Dadi as she slowly replied "Whatever date Dev is fine with Dadi" she said as everyone sighed shaking their head, it seemed both were playing ping-pong leaving the decision to the other.

"Dadi, then let's fix the date after 10 months. Seems like both don't want to get married so early" said Elena but before anyone could react Dev and Sonakshi spoke in an instant "We never said that Ele" they said as everyone looked at them in surprise and the next moment everyone burst out laughing, they clearly knew what they wanted. While Dev and Sonakshi just turned away, embarrassed that they were caught in such situation.

"Alright then, let's fix the date 10 days after their engagement" said Dadi as everyone agreed, turning towards Jatin and Avni Dadi continued "Jatin, Avni are you guys fine with the date of your wedding?" she asked as both looked at her nervously, in an instant both Dadi and Nani could understand that something was wrong but waited for them to speak.

"Actually...actually Dadi we are fine with the engagement but the wedding..." said Avni tensely leaving her sentence mid-way as Ishwari spoke "What about the wedding Avni?" she asked as Avni looked at Jatin who spoke "Let me answer that Aunty" he said, all this while Rajeev was looking closely at Jatin, though he had given his approval to their relationship still he had his apprehensions about it.

"I want to start my own business in the next 3 months Dadi and everything is almost finalized. So, after that it will take another couple of years to set-up everything, so we needed time for that and did not want to marry till I completely set-up everything" he said as all this while Avni held his hand, clearly indicating that she was with him on this decision.

"But what's the problem in getting married, no one's stopping you from setting your business after marriage" said Rajeev in a flat tone as Jatin replied "That's true uncle but I want to give enough time to Avni after our marriage Uncle and that would not be possible when I am busy with setting up my business, so we both want to marry once both of us are in a secure space about our professional as well as personal lives" said Jatin as Rajeev looked at him, he clearly seemed impressed.

"I agree with them Rajeev, no worries Beta you guys get engaged now. Once you both are ready for marriage only then we will get you guys married" said Dadi as everyone agreed to her. Ishwari asked Nikki and Riya to get sweets for everyone for celebrating the happy occasion.

"Thank you for the best day of my life Dev" said Sonakshi as she pecked his lips, they were standing outside the Bose house, Dev had come to drop Sonakshi to her place. He had requested Bijoy about the same as for the next 3 days he would not be meeting her as she would be away on her job, Bijoy had accepted his request. After spending some more time Dev was standing with her outside the house.

"You never need to thank me Sona..." he said and pecked her forehead as he continued "And anyways there's one last thing remaining" he said clearly surprising Sonakshi as he took out an envelope from his pocket and handed it to Sonakshi "What's this?" she asked taking it from him as he replied "See it yourself" as Sonakshi tore the envelope and looked at him in surprise. There were a few tickets and hotel accommodation receipt in it, she looked at him in surprise as she said.

"GOA????"
