Without further ado, here is the next part of this story. Hope you like it :-

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY SONAKSHI" as soon as Sonakshi heard that she slowly opened her eyes to look at the person but the darkness in the room meant that she could not see who the person was when she felt a couple of hands cupping her cheeks, slowly Sonakshi started to make sense of the situation, the touch of the person felt similar and as the cologne of the person hit her senses, it was then she realized who the person was, it was none other than the person who had become her life, it was her DEV. As soon as she realized that she hugged him with all her might while closing her eyes. The happenings of the last few minutes had scared her to the core as Dev felt his shirt getting wet, it was then he realized that she was sniffing as he hugged her while he caressed her hair trying to calm her down, did he take the prank a bit too far was the only thought going on in his mind as he tightened his hug while Sonakshi reciprocated to it.

"Sona...Calm down Baccha" he said lovingly, trying to calm her down while she did nothing but tighten her hug. He tried to release her from his hug, but she did not allow him to as she whispered "Stay, please stay with me Dev" she said as by now Dev started regretting for playing the prank on her. He never intended to scare her to such an extent but then he wanted to make her first birthday with him memorable and with the help of Bose family members had planned this but now seeing Sonakshi he was feeling guilty for putting her through this.

Dev moved slowly with Sonakshi still in his embrace to switch on the light, as soon as he switched it on Sonakshi slowly opened her eyes coming out of his hold as she turned and looked around the room only to be left surprised, the whole room was decorated, and a birthday cake was placed on a table in the middle of the room. Suddenly she felt his hot breath on her neck as he whispered in her ear "Happy Birthday, my love" she turned around but so close was he that his lips brushed with hers as she shivered, though this was not the first time they were in such a proximity somehow Sonakshi felt jittery every time they were physically close to each other. The intensity with which Dev was looking at him were making her feet jelly as he wound his arms around her neck as he moved his lips towards her and pecked her, by now Sonakshi had forgotten all her fear as she just savored his presence.

Suddenly the door flung open "Happy Birthday Sona...." screamed her siblings as Dev and Sonakshi turned to look at them but the very next moment her siblings turned away from looking at them and closed their eyes as Elena spoke "Looks like we have come at the wrong time Dada" she said addressing Jatin and Saurabh who were along with her as they agreed with her as Saurabh spoke "True Ele, seems like we have barged in at the wrong moment"

"Of course Ele, you guys have come at the wrong moment. The door's there so that you guys can knock it" he said with a cocky grin and continued "By the way you guys can turn, now that you guys have already ruined the moment" he said in a sarcasm laced voice as the trio turned to look at them. Sonakshi meanwhile was still dazed trying to make sense of the happenings around her. Slowly it dawned to her that all that had happened was pre-planned and it was done by none other than her love and her siblings. The next moment she started hitting Dev with her tiny fists as he winced in pain while the trio of Saurabh, Jatin and Elena were surprised at her sudden outburst.

"You are very bad Dev, you are very bad" she said as she banged her fists on his chest as he spoke wincing in pain "Sona, it's hurting baby. Please stop it's hurting" he pleaded but that did nothing but increase the intensity with which she hit her as Jatin spoke this "Sona, what are you doing? Stop hitting him" said Jatin as Sonakshi turned towards her siblings and the next moment she picked up the pillow which was there on the bed as threw it at them "You guys planned all this, do you guys have an idea how scared I got, you guys are so bad" she said and kept throwing the pillows on the bed at them while they ducked. She picked up the umbrella which was kept beside the bed and ran behind them with it to hit them while they ran for cover. All this while Dev was just standing on the side caressing his arms and chest where Sonakshi had hit him, she so thin like a stick but where does she get all this power from he thought.

Just then they heard someone say, "What's happening here?" as everyone turned to look at who it was, the person was none other than Nani with Ronita, Asha and Bijoy standing behind her with a smile on their faces as Sonakshi rushed towards them and complained like a child "Nani, see what these guys have done" she said and narrated the happenings of the past few minutes as Nani along with Asha and Bijoy chuckled looking at her expressions, it was then that Sonakshi realized that even they were a part of it. She turned away from them crossing her arms, clearly angry that they had played such a prank on her.

"Sona, I am sorry" said Dev standing beside her with his ever so famous puppy face holding his ears, she looked at him and one look at his face and she just wanted to kiss the life out of him. She berated herself mentally for losing her control in front of her family, all thanks to the man standing in front of her. Though internally she was smiling seeing his expressions externally she was trying to maintain the façade of her anger.

"Sona, it was just a prank beta" said Bijoy trying to calm her down but she did not budge as Nani spoke "Sona, don't be spoilsport beta. Just look at all the arrangements that Dev has made for you, see even he cut his finger while doing the decorations" she said as the very next moment Sonakshi turned and saw his index finger of the right hand bandaged. She held his hand "Is it hurting? What was the need for doing all this? Why do you do this Dev?" she rattled off as Dev calmed her down "Sona, relax. It's just a small hurt. And it's nothing to see that smile on your face" he said as the next moment tears sprang out of her eyes, forgetting the surroundings she just hugged him as after a few moments Nani coughed "Uhu...Uhu..." as they came out of the hug, their face reddened with embarrassment.

"Oh my god, enough of the melodrama. Let's cut the cake now" said Elena as everyone chuckled while Dev spoke "Just a minute Ele" he said and took out his phone and video called someone as he came beside Sonakshi as both faced the phone waiting for the call to be picked up.

"Happy birthday Bhabhiii..." screamed Riya and Nikki as soon as they picked the call as Sonakshi smiled looking at the enthusiasm of her future sister in laws as she said "Thank you dearies" as they passed on the phone to their parents "Happy birthday Sona beta" they said in unison as she replied "Thank you Mom, thank you dad" as they blessed her and passed on the phone to Dadi "Happy birthday Beta, May all your wishes come true" she said as Sonakshi thanked her and said "Thank you Dadi, And my only wish is that you are with me forever" she as Dadi smiled and blessed her once again.

"Now let's cut the cake" said Saurabh unable to control his urge to devour the cake just as Jatin spoke "Just a minute Dada" he said and handed the phone to Sonakshi "Happy birthday my would be Nanad" said the person who was none other than Avni who had called to wish Sonakshi as she replied "Thank you, my future Boudi" she said as both the girls chuckled.

"Come let's cut the cake Sona" said Dev as he took her to the table while both the calls were still connected so that they could see Sonakshi cutting the cake. Sonakshi blew the candles and cut the cake. After wishing her once again Dev's family and Avni cut the call.

Sonakshi took the first piece of cake and moved towards Nani to feed it to her but she was stopped by Nani as she said "Sona Beta, first make Dev eat the cake" just as Dev moved behind Sonakshi and spoke "Nani...Just because I am in a relationship with Sona does not mean that your relationship with her has changed" he said as Sonakshi looked towards him, with that one statement Dev had made it clear that making new relationship did not mean that the old relationships change, they would remain the same. Her heart swelled with Joy and pride for being in love with the man in front of her.

"Sona, feed the cake to Nani first" said Dev but before Sonakshi could Nani said "But Dev beta..." but before she could continue Dev interrupted her and said in a bossy tone "No if's and but's Nani, Sona feed her the cake" as Sonakshi made her eat the cake while Nani obliged seeing no other way out. After feeding her parents Sonakshi fed the cake to Dev and her siblings after which the elders along with Ronita left for their rooms calling it a night leaving Dev and Sonakshi along with Elena, Saurabh and Jatin.

As they left slowly Elena and Saurabh stood behind Dev and Sonakshi respectively with a naughty grin plastered on their faces while Jatin stood by the side knowing very well what her siblings were up to, Dev and Sonakshi were puzzled but before they could react their faces were smashed with the cake that Elena and Saurabh held in their hand as they screamed "Happy Birthday Sona....". They burst out laughing and ran out of the room before either of them could react.

Jatin meanwhile left the room after the duo of Saurabh and Elena left "Sona, help Dev clean up before he leaves" he said with a grin and left as finally Dev and Sonakshi looked at each other's faces, the next moment they burst out laughing seeing the other's face and wondering what crazy set of siblings each of them had.

"Dev, you go and clean yourself first" said Sonakshi as Dev replied "No Sona, you freshen up first. You did not get a chance after returning from work" he said "Sure" Sonakshi asked as Dev replied "Pretty Sure" while Sonakshi left for the washroom before which Sonakshi handed him a few tissues to clean his face.

Fifteen minutes later Sonakshi emerged from the washroom and moved towards the mirror as she said "Dev, go and clean yourself now" she said as Dev who was typing something on his mobile looked up. As he looked up he was left mesmerized. Sonakshi had changed into her nightwear. Her wet tresses were falling on her face, the droplets of water on her cheeks making her look more alluring to Dev.

He got up and moved towards her, Sonakshi who was during her hairs with the towel standing in front of the mirror did not observe him until she felt his hands snake around her waist, like always her breath hitched at Dev's proximity as she tried to speak "De...Devv..." as he said "Sshhh....Let me look at you for some time" as Sonakshi feet turned jelly listening to his husky voice and at his intense gaze through the mirror. There was still some cake left on Dev's face as he moved his cheeks against Sonakshi's rubbing the cream of the cake on to her face "De...Dev...What...What are doing?" spoke Sonakshi with difficulty but he kept quiet and continued moving his face against hers. Suddenly Sonakshi pushed him and got out of his hold "I...I will get coffee for us" she said haphazardly and ran out of the room, her face flushed as Dev chuckled looking at the retreating figure of his bae. He picked up the towel and went to clean himself.

Ten minutes later Sonakshi entered her room with a couple of mugs of coffee and a piece of cake while Dev who had cleaned himself up by now was sitting by the window gazing into the night sky. "Coffee" said Sonakshi handing him the cup as Dev smiled and took it from her, they started sipping their coffee. There was silence, but it had its own peace and tranquility attached with it.

"Here, Have it" said Sonakshi as she fed him the piece of cake, Dev had half of it and made Sonakshi eat the other half "Sona, there's some chocolate left near your lips" said Dev as she wiped it but it was still left as Dev slowly moved towards her and licked it off her face, so quick was he that Sonakshi did not get any time to react. She forgot to breath as suddenly she felt his chocolate smeared lips on hers and the next moment they kissed the life out of each other.

After a few seconds they parted gasping for air as Dev said "Don't about you but this was the best gift I could get on your birthday" he said as she ducked her hair to hide the blush forming on her face as Dev continued "I must get going" he said as Sonakshi looked up, sadness was clear on her face and eyes. It was her special day and she wanted him to spend it with her.

"Don't worry Sona... I will spend the whole day with you but for that I will need to leave now as I need to wind up some work" he said as Sonakshi nodded her slowly agreeing to him. He moved downstairs along with her.

As they reached outside he pecked her forehead and lips as he said "BE READY FOR THE SURPRISES IN STORE FOR YOU SONAKSHI" and even before she could react he zoomed off leaving her dazed and confused.
