My sincere apologies for the long delay but I was caught up with my work.🙏🙏🙏

"I HAVE CHOSEN A GIRL AND I WANT YOU TO MARRY HER" said Dadi as dev was shocked but before he could speak anything Dadi spoke again "And I do not want to hear anything Dev, I have taken the decision. The girl along with her family are visiting us tomorrow evening so be here on time" said Dadi with a finality in her tone.

"But...But Dadi..." Dev stammered but before that she said, "Look dev, it's for the first time I am asking anything from you" and that did the trick as Dev sighed disappointedly and said "Ok, Dadi" as he stormed off to his room while looked at others and smiled.

On the other hand, the situation was no different at Bose house, Sonakshi tried to deny meeting the guy but Asha and Dadi pestered her to no end. And finally, she gave up agreeing to meet the boy once as she left for her room. But as soon as she entered her room she slumped down on to her bed and started crying just as Elena entered the room, she could understand what her sister was going through, she tried to console her but it had no effect on her. Elena then did only one thing, she took Sonakshi's phone and dialed the number of the person who could make her understand.

"Sona..." said Dev as he picked the call but he did not hear from the other end as he spoke again "Sonakshi, Are you there?" as he heard someone cry making him panicked, he heard a muffled voice "Dev..." as she started crying again.

"Sona...why are you crying? Please stop crying and tell me what's the matter?" he asked as finally after some time she informed him about the situation shocking him to the core, he did not understand why destiny was playing games with them, just two days into their relationship and already they were facing difficult situations, he decided to tell about the situation at his house as it will only make her more worried and panicked.

"Sona..stop crying...See I understand your situation. We will talk about this tomorrow in the office. Now please go and sleep" he said trying to convince her but she would not listen, after trying for some time finally she agreed as Dev insisted on speaking to her till she slept, keeping the phone near her head she laid down listening to his sweet nothings as sleep finally crept upon her. Listening to her relaxed breathing Dev cut the phone assured that she had slept but sleep deserted him as he thought ways to tackle the situation at hand.

"I am hungry" said Avni as she was driving looking ahead on the road while Jatin turned to look at her face with a smile, it was late in the night till the duo completed their work at the office after the shoot. Jatin had insisted that he would take a taxi and go home but Avni would have none of it and decided to drop him home on the way to the Orphanage while Jatin did not have a choice.

"Let's stop somewhere and have our Dinner" said Jatin as Avni agreed as she drove looking around for a restaurant, suddenly Jatin screamed "Avni, stop...stop...stop the car" as Avni pressed the break suddenly throwing them forward, luckily they did not get hurt.

"What was that Jatin, Are you fine? Why did you scream?" said Avni looking at him with a mix of concern and anger, concern for his health and anger f0r his sudden stunt.

Jatin just pointed his hand as Avni turned to look in that direction but the moment she saw what Jatin was trying to show, she lost her breathe for a moment. It was a Dhaba, but more importantly it was the same place where both had first realized their love, a place which was a witness to their love and the very place where they had broken up, memories came flooding back as tears made way from Avni's eyes as Jatin's heat wrenched seeing her cry, he forwarded his hand and wiped her tears as Avni tried to control it.

"I am sorry Avni, I am really sorry. I did not want to make you sad, let's go" he said and turned his face away from her looking outside to hide his tears, he never expected Avni to react the way she did after seeing the place which held so many memories for them.

Avni turned the car towards the place and drove as Jatin looked surprised, after a few moments she parked the car and got down but Jatin was still sitting on his seat "What, why are still seated? Come out of the car, I am hungry" said Avni as Jatin came out of his trance "Huh" he said as he unclipped the seat belt and came out.

As soon they neared the Dhaba the owner recognized them as he asked about their well-being after making them seated he got them their favorite dishes as both gorged on their food.

But all this while Jatin was lost in his own world, only he knew how all these days he was controlling himself from expressing his feelings to Avni.

"Avni, I wanted to say something" he said as Avni completed her glass of lassi as she looked at him surprised seeing him ask her permission, she gestured him to go ahead.

"Avni, I know all these days you have made it very clear that we are nothing more than business associates and maybe friends" he said and paused as Avni looked at him closely wondering where he was going with this as he continued "But to be honest I cannot suppress my feelings anymore Avni, I don't know whether it's the right time or place to say this but I will regret if I do not say it" he paused again as Avni kept looking at him

"I LOVE YOU AVNI, I LOVE YOU very much. Always have, always will" he said as Avni looked at him wide-eyed, somewhere she knew what Jatin was about to say but hearing it from him gave a different feeling altogether, it was as if she was flying the air and everything around her was peaceful, was this her second chance at love?

Jatin continued "I know you have a lot of questions in your mind Avni and probably trusting me would be difficult, but I will wait Avni, wait for you because if I know what love is it's only because of you" he confessed as he got up to leave "Trust me Avni, I always regretted that day when we broke up and you might think that I did not trust you enough but that's not the case Avni. The fact is I could not trust myself, I could not trust myself that I could handle our relationship" he said and turned to leave but the next moment he felt a hand holding his stopping him from going ahead.

He turned around but before he could realize he was engulfed into a bone crushing hug as Avni mumbled "I LOVE YOU TOO JATIN, I LOVE YOU" as his hands looped around her as both savored the feeling of being with each other again while the people around hooted and cheered for them.

"You are really a fool Jatin, all you could see was my anger and hurt but never my love, is it? I have loved anyone only once in my life and even if I try I cannot stop loving you Jatin" she said as Jatin took her in a hug once again. After paying the bill they left and after spending some more time with each other they left.

As they reached home Dev and Sonakshi told them about their dilemma while they were given the same advice from both, it was their relationship and they needed to take care of it themselves. They can advise them but at the end of the day it was for them to decide how they wanted to take the relationship forward.

"Sona...Stop crying" said Dev, they were in their cabin during the break between the shots the next day, moving away from everyone's prying eyes and after informing Avni and Jatin they were now seated alone in his cabin. Both were not in a mood to shoot given the circumstances.

"Sonakshi, see I know its difficult but not impossible" you need to it for our relationship he said as Sonakshi looked at him teary eyed while Dev wiped her tears and engulfed her into a hug as they stayed like that. Dev still had not said about his situation yet to Sonakshi as he did not want to add to her worries.

"Dev, nothing will go wrong right?" she asked as Dev nodded positively and said "Trust me Sonakshi nothing will be wrong. Just go and see the guy for your family's sake and tell him the whole situation, hopefully he will understand" he said.

"But what if he doesn't Dev?" she asked thinking negatively as Dev replied "Sona...think positive and if he does not agree I am there right, I will come and speak to your parents when you want" he said as she leant into his hug again hoping everything will go as planned this evening.

The Bose family arrived at the Dixit house in the evening where they were received by Dadi and Ishwari, the men of the house were yet to arrive from work. After the initial greetings and introductions, the sisters Riya and Nikki were introduced to the Boses. After some time Dadi spoke.

"If you don't mind Can we speak to Sonakshi alone?" she asked as Nani and Bijoy nodded their head in agreement while Sonakshi felt butterflies in her stomach, right from the time she had arrived she somehow felt an uneasiness with the way the Dixit women had spoken to them but now the thought of being alone with them as they interrogated her were giving her the creeps.

"Come Sonakshi, let's go to the lawn and talk their" she said as Dadi along with Ishwari and Sonakshi left leaving the elder Boses with the sisters instructing them to take care of them

Sonakshi was fidgeting with her Dupatta (scarf)  tensely as she sat in front of the two ladies, she felt intimidated,  she kept looking at her feet not meeting the eyes of the two people seated in front of her, though she knew what she had to do she was still feeling nervous, on one hand she had made up her mind to reject the guy as she had discussed with Dev but on the other hand she knew that her family members especially Nani would be unhappy as she had high hopes from this match, she just hoped that this would end as quickly as possible.

"Why are you looking nervous, look at us" said Dadi looking grumpily at Sonakshi as her nervousness increased, the lady in front of her looked like that typical MIL straight out of those Bollywood movies, she smiled a bit looking down mentally chiding herself for thinking like that when the situation demanded seriousness.

"Why are you smiling, Did Maa say something funny. Tell us even we will smile?" taunted Ishwari not missing the smile on Sonakshi's face whose nervousness returned listening to Ishwari, especially her tone.

"No...Nothing...." stammered Sonakshi as the two ladies glared at her.

"Anyways we are not interested in knowing about it" said Ishwari as she continued "Let's get straight to the point, Your Dadi tells us that you work as a flight attendant with an Airlines, so do you intend to continue working even after your marriage?" she asked as Sonakshi looked up for the first time confused.

"Yes, but why are you asking Aunty?" she replied as Ishwari glared at her but before she could reply Dadi interrupted.

"She is asking because in our family women do not work outside, they take care of the house. It's the tradition" she said as Sonakshi looked at them flabbergasted, today when girls were making a mark for themselves in various fields she could not believe such families exist which believe that women are just meant to do household work, but in her heart, she was delighted. In way it was becoming easy for her to reject to this match, that guilt of disappointing her Nani was slowly dissipating thanks to the words of the ladies in front of her.

"But don't you think that's a regressive thought Dadi, I mean today girls...." she tried replying politely but was cut off harshly by Ishwari "Do you mean to say we are wrong, is this how behave with elders? You reply back to them? Is this what you have been taught from childhood?"

To say Sonakshi was angry would have been an understatement at that moment, the question was a direct question on her upbringing and an insult to her parents, but she tried maintaining her calm as she did not want to create a scene "I am sorry Aunty, but you have no right to question my upbringing. But since you have asked me, let me tell you my parents have always taught me to be independent and differentiate between the right and wrong. It's because of their upbringing that I am still calmly replying even after whatever you have said" she said in a calm tone as the ladies were taken aback.

"You see Maa, how this girl is talking with us, I do not know what you saw in her that you thought she would be good for my son" she said as Dadi looked disappointedly at Sonakshi, her look clearly conveying that she was unhappy with her.

Before Dadi could speak Sonakshi replied "You are right Aunty, I am not good enough for your son. So why don't we end it right away here, thank you for the wonderful time" she said tersely and stormed of as Dadi and Ishwari followed her.

Coming in to the living room where her parents and Nani were seated talking to the sisters she said "Nani...Maa, Baba let's go" without going in to the details as her parents and Nani looked flabbergasted listening to her while the reaction from the sisters was no different.

"Sona beta, what's the matter? Why are you saying like that? And why do you seem angry?" asked Bijoy in a concerned tone.

"Nothing Baba, can we go home and speak about this? Let's leave from here right away" she said without giving any explanation for her behavior just as Dadi and Ishwari made their way into the room.

"Nirmala, What's the matter why is Sonakshi behaving like this" asked Leela seeing her friend but before she could reply Sonakshi cut in.

"Nani, you do not have to ask them. I am not right girl for their son, they want someone who will listen to them with her head bowed down before them and can take care of the household work without bothering about her career or her own life. And I am not that girl, let's just go from here" she said, her patience finally giving up.

"But beta, we have not yet met the boy" said Nani but Sonakshi would have none of it "And I do not want to meet him as well Nani, not after what they have said and how they have behaved" she replied curtly looking at Ishwari and Dadi who were fuming listening to the words of the girl standing before them.

"Are you sure you don't want to meet him once" said Dadi as Sonakshi looked at her astonished thinking that after all this she was still expecting that she would meet her grandson.

"I am 100% sure Dadi, and good luck finding a bride for your boy" she said but right at that moment everyone heard a voice.

"I am sorry, I am late" said the person in a manly voice as everyone turned their head to look at him, Sonakshi whose back was facing the person felt she had heard the voice before as she turned slowly to look at the person but the moment she saw him she was left speechless and shocked.

"Standing in front of her was none other than the love of her life, DEV DIXIT"
