Its Thursday and I am back with the next update🙂🙂🙂. My sincere apologies for the delay but I was caught up with my work.

After Dev left, Sonakshi slowly entered her home opening the door, she always had a spare key with her for emergency but today was different, she rang the bell quite a few times but on response she used her spare key. As soon as she entered she was surprised as the living room was pitch dark, generally her parents would wait for her to arrive if she went out but today it seemed like they had already retired for the night which left her perplexed. Using the torch on her phone she made way to her room slowly as she did not want to disturb anyone's sleep. She opened the door of her room and was once again left confused for even the lights in her room were switched off as well, Elena was never an early sleeper and even if she did sleep she would not switch off the lights as she was afraid of staying alone in dark, a puzzled Sonakshi switched on the light of her room.

"Surprise" screamed a couple of people as Sonakshi closed her ears and eyes in fear while the duo who had screamed laughed out loudly seeing her as she slowly opened her eyes.

"Elena, Jatin" she said in a surprised tone and continued "What's this childishness, does anyone scream like that? You guys scared me" she finished angrily as their laughter increased, after a few moments they composed themselves.

"Leave that Sona, you tell us how was your date?" asked Elena cocking her brows as Sonakshi looked down trying to hide her blush as Elena sang "Pehla Nasha Pehla Khuma, Naya Pyar hai Naya intezar" as Sonakshi hit her to stop her from making her feel embarrassed.

"Sona, I did not expect this from you" suddenly they heard a voice and as they turned they saw a fuming Saurabh with Ronita while Sonakshi looked shocked seeing Saurabh's anger as tears made way from her eyes.

"Enough Saurabh" admonished Ronita as she made way towards Sonakshi and took her in a hug trying to calm her down and continued "Sona, stop crying Saurabh was just joking" she said as Sonakshi looked towards him who burst out laughing as she ran behind him with the pillow kept beside to hit him.

After everything settled down they asked her to tell everything in detail which she did leaving their private moments. Everyone congratulated her while she asked about her parents and Nani as she was informed that they had gone for watching a Bengali play and would be late. Bidding each other a good night they retired to their rooms.

On the other hand, as soon as Dev entered his room at Dixit house he was facing his Riya and Nikki who seemed to be in an angry mood "Bhaiya, we did not expect this from you" they said in unison as Dev looked at them confused "What are you talking about?" he said

"You have chosen a Bhabhi for us and did not even tell us once" said Riya as Dev was left gobsmacked, he mentally scolded Avni as she was the only one who knew about it as he already informed her about Sonakshi's acceptance and Avni had in turn informed it to Dadi as well who had no other option but to inform it to the sisters as they had already heard Dadi talking with Avni about Dev and Sonakshi's relationship. Though Dev was left clueless and had no idea that Dadi knew about his relationship with Sonakshi.

"Wo..." he stammered as Nikki interrupted him "We don't know anything but we want to meet our Bhabhi at the earliest" she said as Dev sighed in relief. Assuring them that he will soon introduce her to them and after bribing them so that they don't reveal it to anyone they retired for the night.

The next day was a Friday, Dev left for Mumbai on an urgent work, he informed Sonakshi who had a couple of days of holidays before the AD shoot, though both were sad at first as they wanted to spend time with each other but knowing the importance of the work they promised each other that they would meet as soon as Dev came back., but the two days went by like two years for both.

Dev returned on Sunday morning and called Sonakshi asking her to meet in the evening which she agreed to. Dadi asked Dev to visit the orphanage along with the gifts she had brought for the kids. After freshening up Dev left for the orphanage. After he left Dadi called Leela (Nani).

Dev and Avni were at ZINDAGI playing with the kids after Dev had distributed the gifts he had brought along with him but Dev was missing his two little munchkins Aarya and Asmita, the 7-year-old twins with whom he had a special bond. They had gone for their Dance classes and were yet to return as Dev waited for them, just then the duo heard someone say.

"Hi Dev, Hi Avni" the person said as both Dev and Avni who were seated on the ground playing with the kids turned to look at the person and in an instant, were left surprised as standing before them was Jatin but what surprised them more was that along with him there was Sonakshi as well. Happiness surged through Dev as well as Sonakshi who was equally surprised to see Dev, the past two days they had missed each other terribly and just wanted to let go and take the other in a bone crushing hug but remembering the place they were in they controlled themselves, only they knew how hard it was.

"Hi Jatin, Hi Sonakshi" said Avni and Dev simultaneously with a smile, right from the time both had known about Dev and Sonakshi's love the relation between Avni and Jatin improved, though it was more professional than personal yet Jatin was happy with it as he hoped that soon things between them would sort out.

"How come you guys are here?" asked a surprised Dev as Jatin replied "Actually our Nani had sent some gifts for the kids so we were here to give that" as Avni and Dev nodded while Jatin continued "Let me go and give these at the office so that they can distribute these" he said and left leaving Sonakshi with Dev and Avni. Just as Dev was about to speak he was called at the office to look into an issue related with the accounts as Ishwari had asked them to take Dev's advice on that, excusing himself he left the two ladies.

"So Sonakshi, how have you been?" asked Avni but without any reply Sonakshi just moved forward and hugged Avni "Thank you" she said leaving Avni surprised as she reciprocated the hug and after a few moments came out of it, she was about to ask when Sonakshi said "Thank you for giving me the confidence for expressing my love to Dev, Avni. Thank you for making me believe in my love" she finished as Avni smiled and hugged Sonakshi once again.

"I am very happy for both of you Sonakshi" she said coming out of the hug and continued "You both deserve each other's love" as Sonakshi smiled, the glow on her face evident to Avni.

Both looked towards the kids who were playing with unbridled joy when Avni spoke once again "Sonakshi, in any relationship there will be ups and downs, there will be times when you both might feel that the other is wrong, the other is flawed but that's the beauty of any relationship Sonakshi, it's the journey of two flawed individuals together to make it beautiful ironing out each other's flaws. Just remember the moments of love you both had spent with each other and you will sail through it. Love is a beautiful feeling Sonakshi, savor it. Not everyone gets his or her true love but when one gets it, it is important to value it Sonakshi. I have said the same to Dev and am saying the same to you as well Sonakshi. Love each other, value each other & most importantly trust & respect each other and you both will be able to cross every hurdle together" said Avni as Sonakshi looked at her closely when she saw a few tears in her eyes, she felt this was the right time to speak to Avni.

"Avni, don't you want to give love a second chance?" asked Sonakshi as Avni stiffened a bit but the next moment she looked at Sonakshi surprised who continued "Don't you think Jatin and You deserve a second chance?" she said as Avni turned away to hide her tears, she by now could make out that Sonakshi knew about her past with Jatin and she did not want Sonakshi to see her tears.

"Avni" said Sonakshi touching her shoulders as Avni turned towards her "You know Jatin better than me and I know somewhere in your heart you also do not believe in the words he had said to you" she said as Avni cried silently, remembering that day still pricked her heart, it was first time apart from Dev or Nani any one else was talking to her about her relationship with Jatin.

"Take your time Avni, I know what Jatin did was wrong but you both deserve a second chance. Remember one thing whatever decision you take I will always be with you" she said and side-hugged Avni.

"Now stop crying else if Dev comes to know that I made his best friend cry he will get angry and you know what happens when your friend is angry" she said in mock fear while wiping Avni's tears who smiled listening to her, just then a small girl came and pulled Avni for playing with them.

As Sonakshi stood silently she hoped that Avni and Jatin would reconcile, just then someone pulled her and before she could realize the person dragged her and after a few moments found herself pinned to the wall as her mouth was closed by the hand of the person, her eyes which were closed due to fear slowly opened and the moment she saw the person her eyes widened for the person was none other than Dev.

Dev slowly removed his hand from her mouth and gazing into her eyes he moved closer to her and in a husky tone he said, "You have no idea Sonakshi how much I missed you these two days" as she blushed, words seemed to fail her as she was lost in his eyes. Dev moved his face closer to hers and was about to smash his lips on hers when their trance was broken by someone's scream.

"Dev Bhaiya" screamed a couple of kids as both came out of their reverie and looked towards the direction of the sound and as Dev saw the kids a bright smile formed on his face as the kids were none other than his two little munchkins, Aarya and Asmita.

"Hey Champs, you guys are back" said Dev as he moved towards them with Sonakshi in tow, she did not miss the excitement in his voice or the glint in his eyes as he went to meet the kids, it was the same glint which she had seen the other day when he confessed his love.

As Dev moved near to them the kids out their hand out gesturing him to stop surprising him "What happened. What's the matter?" he asked as Aarya replied "Don't talk to us" surprising both Sonakshi and Dev who asked, "But why, what's my mistake?" as Asmita replied this time "You come after such a long time to meet us and you are asking what's your mistake?" she said incredulously as both the kids turned away from him.

"I am sorry, I am really sorry kids" said Dev as he kneeled holding his ears, Sonakshi all this while was looking at the trio with a smile on her face seeing their interaction.

"First tell us who is this Didi?" asked Aarya as Dev replied, "My friend" while Asmita replied in an instant "You mean she is your girlfriend" as Dev and Sonakshi's eyes widened, both looked at each other not knowing what to answer when Aarya spoke "Of course Asmi, she is Dev bhaiya's girlfriend. Look she's a girl and his friend, toh hui na ye inki girlfriend" he said innocently as Asmita nodded in agreement while Dev and Sonakshi chuckled listening to their talk.

"Don't laugh" said the duo sternly to Dev who in an instant turned quiet and held his ears as Asmita spoke "We will only talk to you once we have given you punishment" she said as Dev's eyes widened in fear, the last time these two punished him they had done his make up like a girl embarrassing him before everyone, he hoped it would not repeat, definitely not before Sonakshi.

"What punishment?" he asked hesitatingly as Aarya replied "You have to become a horse, make us sit on your back and give us a ride around here" he commanded as Dev sighed in relief, it was better than the make-up last time, he quickly kneeled with his hands on the ground as both the kids jumped on his back as he moved around with them.

Sonakshi who was standing all this while quietly was once again floored with Dev's gesture, she fell in love with him once again. Suddenly an idea stuck her, she quickly took her phone out and positioned it properly towards the Trio

"Guys smile" she said as the trio looked up, Dev unmindfully smiled as well along with the kids as the next moment Sonakshi snapped their photo.

For a moment Dev was quiet but the very next moment he asked the kids to quickly get down and ran getting up he ran towards Sonakshi asking her to delete the photo but Sonakshi ran away as the kids clapped in glee seeing the elders behave like kids.

After a few moments Dev caught hold of Sonakshi and pinned her to the wall away from the kids, they were breathing heavily because of the run as Dev gazed into Sonakshi's eyes "Why did you take the photo Sonakshi?" he said as she gathered her courage to reply.

"What should I do, you looked so cute with the kids that I could not resist" she said with a pout as Dev controlled himself from kissing the life out of her, he smirked and said "Oh is it? Don't worry you will get many more such moments when we have our own kids" grazing her lips with his as Sonakshi forgot to breathe for a moment but the next moment she realized what he said and pushed him back "Shameless" she said and turned to go but the next moment Dev held her hand and pulled her towards him as she fell on his chest she hid her face in it as she blushed.

Dev held her chin and made her look at him, he neared his lips towards hers but suddenly both heard a shriek "Jatiiiiinnnn" as both came out of their trance and looked at each other surprised and spoke at the same moment "Avni?" as both ran towards the source of the voice but as soon as they reached they were left stunned looking at the scene unfolding before them.

"Blood was oozing out of an unconscious Jatin's head which was on Avni's lap as the kids surrounded them while Avni was crying uncontrollably"
