I am back with the next update!!! My sincere apologies for posting it late but the last few days have been quiet hectic at work.

Thank you everyone for the votes & comments, Thank you for encouraging me, really means a lot 🙂🙂🙂. Without further ado here's the next part.

At that moment, to say that Dev was shocked looking at the scene unfolding before him would have been an understatement. For a few seconds he could not fathom that someone was sharing an intimate moment and he was a witness to that, but what made his heart sink was the fact that someone was Sonakshi. He felt a knot in the pit of his stomach, something which had never happened to him ever before. He could not understand his feelings at that moment but whatever it was it made him sad that he saw Sonakshi share intimacy with someone. He could not take it anymore and turned around to leave. He had just walked a few steps when he felt a soft hand on his shoulder as he turned around to see who it was.

"Why are you leaving?" asked the person as Dev looked astonished, for standing before him was Sonakshi looking at him with an amused expression while he stood tongue-tied.

"What happened, why are you quiet, Say something? Why were you leaving? She asked again observing that he was quiet with a confused look on his face.

"Sonakshi...Wo..." he mumbled as Sonakshi looked surprised seeing that he was stuttering with his words, while Dev was just searching for words to speak. He just looked back at the door where he saw that the couple were still lost in their own world unaware of their surroundings, a sense of relief descended on his face as it dawned onto him that the girl was someone else and not Sonakshi.

Sonakshi's head turned towards the direction were Dev was looking at and the next moment she was shocked to say the least seeing her friend and his fiancé engaged in a wild smooch. She quickly turned back at Dev who at the same moment looked at Sonakshi as their eyes met for a brief second but the very next moment they looked in the other direction, embarrassment clearly etched on their faces. They stood quietly unable to take the conversation forward but after a few seconds both looked at each other again and that very moment both burst out laughing.

"I am sorry" said Sonakshi as Dev replied "Why?" while Sonakshi was left searching for words as she did not know what to say, she knew how embarrassing it was for both but suddenly she remembered something and said "For the morning"

But Dev's expression clearly suggested he did not understand what she was referring to as Sonakshi clarified "I mean the way I left suddenly in the morning, you must have felt bad" as Dev replied "Well, you had already apologized for that when you called in the afternoon and anyways I have already forgotten that incident" he said faking a smile, only he knew in his heart how much he felt bad when she had left like that, Sonakshi nodded her head listening to him.

"By the way Sonakshi Don't you think whenever we meet you generally end-up apologizing to me. I guess your name should be changed from Ms. Sonakshi Bose to Ms. Sorry Bose" he said smirking at her and let out a laugh as Sonakshi slapped him on his shoulder while he faked pain.

"Is that so? So let's make a pact then? From now on only you will apologize irrespective of whose mistake it is. What say Mr. Obhodro?" she replied cocking her brows as she let out a chuckle.

"Obhodro?" questioned Dev as Sonakshi just ignored his question

"Anyways leave all this. What do we do now?" asked Dev looking back at Ritwik and the girl.

"I have an idea" said Sonakshi and took her phone out as she dialed Ritwik's number.

The phone's ring brought Ritwik out of the intimacy he was sharing with his partner as he shot a frustrated look at his phone's ring cursing the person who was calling, as he saw the caller id. he picked up the call "What happened Sona? Why are you calling me at this hour?" he spoke irritated

"Oh, Hello if you remember correctly you had invited Dev for Dinner right?" she replied back as Ritwik face-palmed himself for forgetting it.

"Oh Yes..." said Ritwik but before he could reply Sonakshi interrupted "By the way are you guys done?" as Ritwik was left perplexed and replied "What do you mean?"

"Well, you know you both are outside the house, why don't you guys get some privacy?" she said as it dawned on to Ritwik what she meant "Oh, Shucks" he said as Sonakshi started laughing while Ritwik cut the call, all this time Dev who was controlling himself burst out in laughter.

"You embarrassed the poor Guy" he said composing himself

"Well, he deserves that, I mean who indulges in PDA?" she replied as Dev looked at her closely

"Maybe people who are much in Love" he said as Sonakshi looked into his eyes and once again both were lost in each other the same way when they had collided for the first time, there was something magnetic about the other's eyes as they seemed to lose themselves in those orbs.

"We should go" said Sonakshi coming out of her reverie as Dev nodded in agreement. They then proceeded towards the entrance of Ritwik's home.

Dev looked around as he and Sonakshi entered Ritwik's house, it was a nice cozy little house having a couple of bedrooms. The portraits of Bose & Tagore hung on the wall under which a Gramophone was placed as he looked around he saw a small library set-up on one end of the house.

"Nice Place" said Dev looking around as Sonakshi smiled just as Ritwik walked out of the room after correcting his appearance while his fiancé was still in the room getting ready.

"Hi, Ritwik. Dr. Ritwik Sen. You must me Dev" said Ritwik as he put his hand out towards Dev

"Hi, Dev. Dev Dixit" he replied as he clasped Ritwik's outstretched hand into a handshake, but right at the moment Dev said his full name something clicked in Sonakshi's mind, she felt she heard that name before but could not remember where.

"Please settle down Mr.Dixit" said Ritwik as Dev replied "Dev will do alright Ritwik, I hope you don't mind me calling you Ritwik"

"Of course not" said Ritwik with a smile as the three settled down

"By the way Dev I am sorry for today morning, actually the reason was such that I was excited and could not wait to share it with Sonakshi" he said as Dev nodded his sideways conveying that he didn't need to apologize

"No need Ritwik, I understand. By the way if you do not mind telling can I know the reason for your excitement" he said as both Ritwik and Sonakshi smiled

"Of course, Ah...Here comes the reason actually" said Ritwik as he stood up went forward towards his fiancé who had just come into the room, while Dev and Sonakshi stood up as well.

"Dev, Meet my lovely fiancé Drishti" he said as he wound his arms around her

"Hi, Dev. Dev Dixit" he said as he shook hands with Drishti.

"Actually we both have been engaged for a couple of years and yesterday when I had proposed her for marriage she accepted it. So that was reason for my excitement as I could not wait to share this with my childhood friend" said Ritwik looking towards Sonakshi who smiled gleefully.

"Oh, Wow...Congrats...You both make a lovely pair" said Dev as he congratulated them

"Thank you Dev, it's really nice meeting you after all that I have heard from Sonakshi about you" said Drishti in a flow as Sonakshi's head shot up towards Drishti, she glared at her. While Dev was caught by surprise hearing that Sonakshi discussed about him.

Dev looked towards Sonakshi who did not want to meet his eyes at that moment, she was feeling hell embarrassed but Dev on the other hand was feeling a sense of joy in his heart.

"Why don't we talk over Dinner?" said Ritwik trying to rescue the situation for his friend who mentally thanked him for saving her from the awkward situation, as all of them proceeded towards the Dinner table.

Sonakshi was lying on the bed as her thoughts went back to the Dinner this evening. It was a perfect evening for her between her friends. Dev had quickly mingled with Ritwik & Drishti, it felt as if he had known them for years. Their conversations ranged from politics to sports to shopping and many more along with the childhood memories of each one of them but then her mind went back to a conversation which they had on the Dinner table....

"Waisey Dev if you don't mind telling us. Do you have a girlfriend?" asked Drishti as Dev and Sonakshi shot their heads up at once. While Dev had an amused expression plastered on his face, Sonakshi glared at Drishti.

"No, But why do ask?" Dev asked

"Oh that's surprising. I mean you are smart, jovial & handsome as well so its surprising that you don't have a girlfriend. Any specific reason?" she asked as Ritwik chipped in.

"Drishti, What are you saying? Are you thinking of ditching me?" he asked in a mock anger while Dev and Drishti chuckled. Drishti pulled his cheek and said "Ritwik, You are so cute. I love this possessive side of yours. I was just asking to see if I could hook Dev up with one of my friends" she said eyeing Sonakshi at the same time who frowned at her.

"Don't bother Drishti. I never had one, in fact never found anyone whom I am looking for" said Dev as Sonakshi eyed closely. Though she had not spoken a word in the entire conversation, yet she was listening very keenly

"Hmm, that's interesting. You never know when you will find one, maybe she is just around you" she said eyeing at Sonakshi once again while Dev replied "Maybe?"

"By the way do you know even Sonakshi did not have a boyfriend till date" Drishti said as Sonakshi who was drinking water choked listening to her while Dev felt a surge of joy creep into him though he didn't know why it was so.

"Drishti, can we please talk about something else?" said Sonakshi in an irritated tone as Drishti and Ritwik chuckled while Dev looked at her and smiled which she did not miss.

Sonakshi's was brought out of her thoughts by the click of the door opening as she saw Drishti walk in. She came and settled besides Sonakshi who turned her face away from her

"Sonakshi, The Dinner today was nice right?" she said but there was no response from her as Drishti understood she was annoyed with her

"You are thinking about Dev right?" she said and just as she had expected Sonakshi looked towards her with an irritated look

"Drishti, what are you saying. Why would I think about Dev?" she asked as Drishti smirked at her, it was the same expression she had when she was annoyed at the dinner table

"How would I know why you are thinking about him. But just look at your expressions, his name brings such a brightness on to your face. And I clearly remember the smile you had this afternoon when you were talking about him this afternoon" she said as Sonakshi was left tongue-tied once again

"Well, Do not think too much Sonakshi. Just go with the flow and savour this feeling. I am sure you will understand your feelings soon" she said and added "By the way me and Ritwik are going for a walk, you please sleep" she said and exited the room.

As Drishti went Sonakshi once again she went back into her thoughts, she was confused with her feelings. Never had she felt before such an unknown attachment to anyone. But then right from the time she met Dev she felt this unknown feeling but the strange part was that she felt good about it, was this just a mere attraction but was it more than that she could not understand as she drifted into the land of nod with these thoughts playing in her mind.

While on one hand Sonakshi was confused with her feelings the situation was no different for Dev. As he lay down on the bed his thoughts went back to the time he had met Sonakshi and after that. Unknown to him she was making a special place in his heart though he was hell confused on why it was so. He had met many girls in his life but somehow, she was different, maybe it was because she was so simple or was it because she trusted him. Whatever it was but the feeling was beautiful as he felt an unknown connection with her, with these thoughts in his mind he drifted into his sleep.

Two souls unknown to their feelings were taking their first step towards realizing their love. Would they realize their feelings in time or would it be too late before they realize it, only time would tell.

Also I sincerely request an honest feedback from my readers about this part as this is the first time I am writing a part completely with English Dialog on the request of a few readers, so how did you find it. Or do you think its better if I write the dialog in Hindi with English translations. Do leave your opinion in the comment section.
