I am back with the next update!!! My sincere apologies for posting it late but the last couple of weeks have been quiet hectic at work.

Thank you everyone for the votes & comments, Thank you for encouraging me, really means a lot 🙂🙂🙂. Without further ado here's the next part.

Dev stood perplexed witnessing the scene unfolding in front of him, he couldn't understand but he felt an unknown pain in his heart seeing Sonakshi embracing the stranger, it seemed that both shared a very close relationship. He was about to go towards them and introduce himself when he heard the stranger speak.

"Sona, Jaldi Chal. Dare ho rahi hai humey" Ritwik spoke as Sonakshi nodded

"Ek minute Ritwik" she said but Ritwik didn't listen to her, he picked her luggage and holding her hand dragged her towards the car while Sonakshi looked back at Dev while sitting in the car and said "Accha Dev, Main chalti hoon. Bye" but before he could respond, the car's door closed and it sped away as Dev stood their clenching his fist in anger as he thought "Itni bhi kya jaldi thi ki theek se bye bhi nahi bol pai aur wo ladka kaun tha??"

Just then Dev's car arrived and as the driver who was in his early 40s came out he spoke in anger "Itni Dare kyun lag gayi?" as the driver gulped in fear seeing him angry, in all these years this was the first time he had seen Dev getting angry.

"Sir, Wo, Wo...." he faltered as he spoke and that's when Dev realized he had spoken harshly and chided himself for doing that "Sorry Kaka, wo actually kisi aur ka gussa aap pe nikal diya. Sorry" as the Driver replied "Arey Sir, aap maafi matt mangiye. Chaliye chaltey hai" as he was about to pick up Dev's luggage but as always Dev denied his help and after putting the luggage in the boot of the car they proceeded towards their destination.

As Dev took out his laptop to work the image of Sonakshi hugging the stranger was continuously flashing in his mind as he kept thinking about them, he was brought out of his thoughts by the voice of the Driver was calling him "Sir, Sir" he spoke in a loud voice as Dev replied back "Huh, kya hua Kaka"

"Sir, wo main pooch raha tha ki aap pehle hotel jayenge ya phir office" he asked as Dev replied "Pehle office chaltey hain phir wahan ka kaam khatam karkey uskey baad Hotel chalenge" as the driver nodded while Dev tried to concentrate back on his work, he chided himself once again as he spoke to himself "Kya ho gaya hai Tujhey Dev, wo kisi se bhi gale mile uss sey tujhey kya lena dena. Hoga koi uska karibi, tu kyun itna affect ho raha hai. Ab ye sab chod aur apne kaam pe concentrate kar" as he tried to push back the thoughts and focus back on his work.

"Aisey koi kheech key laata hai kya Ritwik, Dev ko kitna bura laga hoga" said Sonakshi as they had settled down in the car, she was feeling bad that she could not bid Dev a proper goodbye. Just as Sonakshi said that Ritwik looked at her in surprise.

"Accha, Koi khaas tha kya Wo? Pehle toh kabhi tujhey kisi ke liye itna bura feel kartey huey nahi Dekha. Bura usey lag raha hai ya phir tujhey?? Baat kya hai Madam" he said cocking his brows at her.

"Nahi....Nahi aisa kuchh nahi hai Ritwik. Kya kuch bhi bol raha hai. Main toh bass iss liye keh rahi thi ki jiss tarah tu mujhey kheech ke laya ussey kitna Rude laga hoga" she said and turned her face to look outside while Ritwik smiled seeing his friend getting all flustered.

"Accha Chal abb gussa matt ho Yar. Ek kaam kartey hai, Aaj raat uss sey Dinner pe bula le, humari mulakat bhi ho jayegi aur main uss sey maafi bhi maang loonga" Ritwik said trying to pacify her friend as a smile formed on Sonakshi's face, she couldn't understand but the thought of meeting Dev again excited her, but she regained her composure and nodded her head in acceptance of Ritwik's idea who sighed in relief.

"Waisey abb Batayega bhi ki aisi kya baat thi ki tujhsey wait bhi nahi hua aur mujhey aisey kheench le laaya" she asked as Ritwik smiled in joy.

"Baat hi kuch aisi hai Sona, ghar chal. Tujhey sab pata chal jayega" he said barely controlling his excitement which did not go unnoticed by Sonakshi, she was about to ask again but Ritwik stopped her gesturing that she will get to know it only after reaching home. She pouted sadly hoping that Ritwik would tell her but he knew her tricks and did not fall for it while they completed the rest of the journey pulling each other's leg.

AT ZINDAGI (ISHWARI's NGO)

Ishwari & Dadi along with Avni were playing with the kids, as they had decided earlier in the week the Trio were at ZINDAGI. They had distributed the chocolates and gifts they had got for them, after which Ishwari had gone along with the Care-taker of the NGO to look after the accounts while Avni and Dadi stayed back with the kids. But all this while Dadi observed that there was a person who was looking at them continuously with a smile on the face, at first Dadi ignored it but after sometime she could not control her curiosity and went towards the person.

"Ji, main aapko Jaanti hoon?" Dadi asked to the person

"Ji, mujhey pata nahi ki aap mujhey jaanti hai ya nahi lekin main aapko zaroor janti hoon" replied the person which confused Dadi

"Matlab, Main kuch samjhi nahi" said Dadi trying to recall who the person was.

"Ji Yaad kijiye, 20 saal pehle aap Kolkata ek shaadi main aayi thi jahan aapki dosti hui thi kisi se" the person said as Dadi looked at the person closely and it was then that it dawned to Dadi who the person was as a bright smile formed on her face.

"Leela Tum??" asked Dadi as the person replied with a smile "Haan Nirmala, Main" and the next moment both hugged each other, the person was none other than Sonakshi's Nani, Leela Das.

"Itney Saalon baad mile rahi ho, Yahan kaisey aana hua?" asked Dadi as she came out of the hug.

"Haan, 20 saal mil rahe hai hum. Aur main to 5 saal pehle hi Delhi aa gayi thi apni beti ke paas jab inka dehant hua tha" replied Nani with a sadness in her voice as Dadi held her hand letting the moment pass.

"Waisey Tum yahan kaisey" asked Nani

"Arey, ye toh humara hi NGO hai. Meri bahu sambhalti hai issey" said Dadi as Leela nodded in appreciation "Waisey tum yahan kaisey. Akele aayi ho?" asked Dadi

"Wo actually aaj inki Barsi hai toh yahan bachon main kuch Phal aur gifts dene aayi thi" she replied just as Avni joined them and asked "Dadi, Kaun hai ye?" she asked and after Dadi introduced her Avni touched her feet as Nani blessed her.

"Waisey Leela, tumney bataya nahi yahan akele aayi ho?" asked Dadi as Nani nodded her head in negative and said "Nahi, Wo meri beti aur pota bhi aaye hai. Bus bahar gaye hain abhi aatey hi hongey" ans the next moment she saw them coming "Arey, Ye lo. Wo log aa gaye"

As she said that both Dadi & Avni turned to look at them but the next moment colour drained off Avni's face as once again her past was walking towards her, it was none other than Jatin who along with Asha had come after finishing their work. Just as Jatin looked at Avni a smile formed on his face as he thought of talking it out with her.

"Aa gaye tum log, Insey milo" said Nani and introduced them to Dadi and Avni. After exchanging pleasantries Dadi said "Accha Leela Chalo, main Tumhey apni Bahu se milwati hoon" as Leela nodded but the next moment Avni added "Dadi, aap log jaiye. Mujhey kuch kaam hai" she did not want to stay anywhere Jatin as she knew she would fall weak before him, though on the outside she showed that he did not affect her but only she knew how she was controlling herself in his presence, all these years though she tried to forget him she could not after all he was the only person she had loved and after he left she could not get herself to love anyone else.

"Haan, Nani. Mujhey bhi ek call karna hai. Aap log jaayiye. Main thodi dare main aata hoon" said Jatin, he felt this was his chance to talk his heart out with Avni. The elders agreed and left. Just as they left Avni turned to leave as well but the next moment she felt somebody hold her hand trying to stop her, it did not take to second for her to recognize who it was for it was the same touch which would form Goosebumps on her skin.

"Aapki himmat kaisey Hui Mr.Roy" said Avni angrily jerking her hand away as she added "Main ney aap se uss din bhi kaha tha ki we are just Business colleagues, nothing else. Don't try to get personal with me"

"Avni, please Ek baar meri baat toh suno" Jatin said in a pleading voice, he knew she was angry but he was determined to talk to her even if he had to bear her anger.

"Tumhey jo kehna tha wo tumney 6 saal pehle keh diya tha Jatin. Abb humarey beech kehne sunn ney ke liye kuch bacha nahi hai, aacha hoga tum ye baat acchi tarah samajh lo aur yahan koi scene create matt karo" she thundered at him and stormed off from their as Jatin signed sadly but there was a small happiness in him, even though it was in anger Avni had addressed him as Jatin and it felt so good, as his determination strengthened to get his love back as he proceeded towards the NGO office to meet the elders.

While on one hand in Delhi someone was trying to win his love back, in Kolkata someone was getting edgy and it was none other than Sonakshi. After reaching Ritwik's place she came to know about the reason for his excitement and she was very happy for him. After settling down and finishing their lunch she decided to call Dev to invite him for the Dinner and it was from then that she was getting restless.

She had called Dev around 7 times and dropped 5 messages to him in the past one hour but there was no response from his end making her restless. She could not decipher why in just a few days she felt so connected with Dev, never had she felt such before but right now his unresponsiveness was making her fidgety. She tried calling him again yet there was no response as she sat down sadly on the rocking chair.

Dev had just come out of his meeting with the sales team, he was happy with the way things had progressed but right now he was hungry. He took out his phone and was about to call his driver but as he saw the phone, his eyes widened in surprise for there were 10 missed calls and 5 messages from Sonakshi, he quickly opened the messages and read them.

@2:31 p.m. Hi Dev, Good time to speak?

@2:42 p.m. You there?

@2:53 p.m. Are you Angry?

@3:07 p.m. I am sorry ☹️☹️

@ 3:33 p.m. Please call back Dev

As he finished reading the messages he was surprised, he saw the last call which was just 5 minutes back, without wasting anytime he called her.

Sonakshi who had just caught a nap sitting on the rocking chair was startled as her phone ringed but one look at the caller and she immediately picked up the call.

"Dev, kahan they tum. Phone kyun nahi Uthaya?" Naraz ho mujhsey. I am sorry. Ab baat kyun nahi kar rahe ho, kuch toh bolo" she said hurriedly without giving him a chance to speak.

"Sonakshi, Tum mujhey bolney dogi toh main bolunga na" he replied as Sonakshi mentally slapped herself as she said "Oh I am so sorry, batao kahan they tum?"

"Wo actually main meeting main that oh phone silent pe tha iss liye tumharey messages dekh nahi paaya. Batao kiss liye call kar rahi thi aur main tumsey naraz kyun hounga?" he said as Sonakshi sighed in relief knowing that he was not angry with her.

"Nahi wo mujhey laga wo subah aisey mere acchanak chale jaaney se tumhey bura laga hoga" she said slowly

"Nahi Sonakshi mujhey bura nahi laga, Shayad wo tumhara koi karibi hoga?" he replied calmly but only he knew the turmoil going on inside him when he said that as images of the morning flashed in front of him again.

"Haan Wo Karibi toh hai. Waisey mainey tumhey Dinner pe invite karney ke liye call kiya tha" she said

"Dinner, Par kyun?" Dev asked in confusion

"Kyun, aisey hi tum Dinner pe aa nahi saktey" she replied back as Dev said "Nahi Sonakshi aisi koi baat nahi, Lekin main kaisey...."

"Lekin wekin kuch nahi Dev, Tumhey aana hi padega. Warna mujhey lagega ki tum abhi bhi naraz ho" she said knowing very well that Dev would not deny now.

"Accha Baba, Theek hai main aaunga" he said as Sonakshi smiled in happiness, after some more talks and sending Dev the address of Ritwik's house they bid each other goodbye and proceeded to complete their respective work before the Dinner in the evening.

Dev had just entered the gate of Ritwik's house when he saw the Silhouette of a couple of people at a distance near to the door as a faint light fell on them, As he moved forward he could identify one of them. It was same person who was hugging Sonakshi today morning but what confused him was along with him there was a girl and both were holding each other closely, though he could not see the girl's face but he felt that the height & structure of the girl was similar to Sonakshi's but the very next moment what Dev saw SHOCKED him to no end.

In front of him both started kissing each other wildly as an Unknown fear made way into Dev's Heart.
