Chapter 35

Yudhisthir's heart filled with anxiety, as he paced in Nakul's room, his eyes moving to his wife who lay unconscious on the bed.

What might have happened to her?

His stomach churned with worry. Maybe it was nothing serious, maybe she was just tired, or a bit stressed.

The possibilities were various and the uncertainty was driving him crazy.

Nakul and Sehdev sat on one side of the bed, Bheem and Arjun on the other, gazing at her with worry.

Sehdev checked her pulse, while his elder twin continued with his other examination.

"How did she faint?" Bheem questioned, his face marred with a frown while he gazed at her sleeping form.

"She went to check the door while I was removing the clothes from the closet. When I came out she was lay unconscious on the ground. I picked her up and put her on the bed, and ordered the guards to get you all." Nakul explained, his voice though calm, he felt anything but.

Seeing her laying on the ground had almost given him a cardiac arrest, the sharp jolt of concern he felt in that moment was unlike anything.

Yudhisthir's heart thrummed wildly, he had been doing his morning prayers when the guard had come rushing in, informing him about her fainting.

He had rushed down to meet her, seeing her laying unconscious had spun his mind in a hundred different situation.

Being a warrior Yudhisthir had seen hundreds of injuries and sicknesses, deaths even.

Hardly anything shook him, but one news about Panchaali’s fainting and he was submerging in an ocean worry.

His eyes fell on his wife, her face completely calm unlike the inner turmoil that he was feeling.

A silence fell in the room, his eyes focusing on the faces of Nakul and Sehdev, who had an expression of shock on their faces as they looked a each other.

His heart beat froze, as for a moment he quit breathing.

Was something really wrong with her?

Was she in danger?

Worst case scenarios ran through his mind making it difficult for him to think straight.

“What happened?” Yudhisthir asked, unable to hold back any longer, his heart speeding up.

Every negative scenario ran through his mind, building the worry with every passing second.

What if something had happened to her?

He can’t lose her!

What if it was an incurable diseases?

What than?

Tears glazed in his eyes.

Dread sunk it's ugly talons in his heart making his breath hitch.

“Will you two just tell already.” Arjun snapped, no longer able to hold back, how could he lose her?

He breathed in trying to stop his mind from going in the dark corners of his mind, that were whispering all the negative scenarios possible.

“Panchaali’s Pregnant .” Whispered Sehdev, a huge smile appeared on his face, his eyes feeling tears.

Their wife was pregnant.

Panchaali was going to be a mother.

A wave of happiness washed over them erasing the fear and pain that they felt just moments ago, a smile appeared on their faces as they looked at each other.

They are going to be fathers, a new life is going to be born.

A new little life.

Bheem’s heart was bursting with happiness and joy.

His excitement knew no bounds, there were so many things that he wanted to do, so many different things.

What would the baby look like?

Would they look like Panchaali?

Or them?

Would the baby be a boy or girl?

Whatever the child might be, he just wished that they be born happy and healthy.

A groan had them looking down at the bed where Panchaali slowly blinked her eyes open.

Panchaali’s soft little groan had each of them looking down, they watched as she slowly blinked her eyes open, before her gaze met his.

They wanted to tell her the news, they wanted to see that happiness and shock on her face when she did, they gazed at her smiling as she blinked her eyes open and looked up at them all, confusion marred her face as she watched them all smile wildly down at her.

What had suddenly happened to them?

Why were they smiling like they had won the world?

She had expected them to shout, scream, go berserker on her but seeing them all smiling at her made her feel like she had entered some other universe and not her home.

What was happening?

Their happiness had her smiling too, seeing them all so happy made her feel like she had the world in her hands.

It didn’t matter what the reason was seeing them so happy made her fill with joy, she gazed at her husbands, a smile passing on her lips as she looked at them curiously.

“Arya what’s the matter?” She asked as she looked at them.

Yudhisthir sat beside her, the joy that she saw on his face was nothing like before, she had never seen him this happy in her life.

He smiled as his eyes watered, making her blink up at him with confusion.

What was happening?

Before she could as she felt his strong muscular arms wrap around her as he pulled her close to his hard chest.

He nuzzled her neck.

He hid his face in her crook, breathing in the unique scent of blue lotuses that had him sighing making him feel like he had won the world today.

The hug was so fierce, she could feel all the love and care, warm  feelings fluttered in her chest making her heart thrum wildly, she ran her hands up and down, making her sigh, as she snuggled deeper in him, letting his warmth wash over her.

“I love you so much. ” He whispered softly as he sniffed.

There were a hundred things that he wanted to say, he wanted to shout in happiness.

His one wish.

One thing that he had been trying for years had finally come true.

Her heart thudded in her chest making her feel like she had lost her mind.

She hugged him, his hands rubbing up and down her back in a soothing manner, the warmth of his love cocooning her.

He pressed his lips to her forehead as he kissed his way down to her nape making pleasure.

He pulled back as his dark intense gaze met his.

The deep love, and care that she saw in her eyes had her heart thrumming in her chest violently making her feel like she was getting lost in those dark pools.

He pressed his lips to her forehead, the feel of his soft pink lips had her sighing as the feeling of security and warmth washed over.

He lingered there a bit longer just feeling her soft skin under his lips, he sighed as he rubbed his hand up and down her shoulders.

“What is happening arya.” She asked as she looked at them.

Their eyes sparked with joy as they all gazed at one and another.

A silent conversation passing through them that left her utterly clueless, what was happening?

She gazed at each of them silently asking what was happening but they just shook their heads, she huffed, as annoyance washed over her, seriously?

Why weren’t they telling her? What was such a big deal?

She pouted as she huffed annoyed turning away from them, folding her hands on her chest, showing them that she was angry but from within the curiosity was killing her, they chuckled as they gazed at her.

“You're going to be a mother love." Whispered Arjun said, joy lacing his words, extreme happiness flowed through her.

"Me?...I ... mother?" She couldn't get the right words out, her heart beat violently.

The pandavas smiled, nodding, tears filling her eyes as she gazed at them.  Today their happiness had knew no bounds. . .

***

The time seemed to pass by slowly as day after day happiness spread through the kingdom.

Happiness was everywhere.

Panchaali smiled as she looked over at the huge gardens.

Her hand caressing her seven month baby bump.

"Panchaali you should be resting. " The voice of Vrikodar had her turning around.

Her dark eyes focusing on her husband.

A displeased frown marred his features as he gazed at her.

The river of time continued to flow, seven months had passed, probably the happiest Panchaali had been in her life.

Life had been no less than dream, such loving husbands what more could she ask for.

Now that Duryodhan, Dushasan and Shakuni had moved to the palace out of the house and to another one out of town, there was nothing she could ask more for.

“Panchaali!” Bheem’s voice had her turning around.

The man in question stood near the entry point of the garden, his lips curved up in a beautiful smile.

The one smile that often had her heart beating faster, her cheeks tinted red, he smirked, knowing all to well the effect that he had on her.

A gust of breeze blew, bring with it the fragrance of the sweet flowers that were planted across the garden, creating a colorful sight.

A sigh passed her lips, as Vrikodar moved up to her, the ever so slight smirk on his face, he stood so close to her that his body heat kissed her skin.

“What are you doing here?” He questioned, his voice so soft, that caressed her heart in a slight touch, making her smile and her heart speed up.

“Just taking a walk.” She whispered.

“Alone? Without me?” He pouted, his voice teasing her heart with its sweet baritone.

“You want to join?” She asked, raising her head, the dark orbs of hers clashing with his brown ones, that held a softness, while he gazed down at her.

He felt like he was the luckiest man out there, with a wife so loving and innocent there as nothing else that he could ask for.

His hand traveled to her baby bump, caressing it.

This new little member of their family had weaved them impossibly close, binding them in a bond that was way stronger than before.

He held his hand out to her, a silent answer to her question.

He wanted a quiet moment with her, one that was filled with nothing but their love.

Words were hardly a necessary for them to convey the feelings that they had for each other.

Attraction needed the crutch of words to understand the heart of the other.

Words were a crutch necessary for those that had the relationship of body, but they?

They were weaved in a bond that not many could understand, a bond where souls spoke through eyes, conveying the state of the other.

A bond where physical relationship didn’t matter.

Life and death didn’t matter.

They were forever one with and without this body.

A bond of souls.

One that had decided to say united for the rest of eternity.

Where the marriage was not for the society.

But the seven vows were taken for the unity of their souls forever.

They walked down the garden.

Red roses bushes were clustered on either side of them.

The sun cast a low glow, the scent of various flowers hung in the air, massing with each other.

Creating a serene scent, the sound of the birds chirruping on the branches could be heard, as though they were singing the love duet to silently create a romantic ambiance for the two.

A smile appeared on Bheem’s face as Panchaali laid her hand in his.

His huge callous warrior hand wrapped around her soft small ones.

Seeing her hand enveloped by his had her cheeks flushing scarlet.

The natural blush had him smiling, adorable in every sense of the word, he thought as he looked at her.

He gave a soft reassuring squeeze to her hand, making her heart flutter in her chest,

“I don’t want to ever end this moment, with you I want to walk through this life. All the happiness, all the sadness, everything. I want see it all with you. With the most beautiful girl of this universe.”

He whispered the words, like a soft confession that he wanted only her to hear.

Warmth fluttered in her chest, making her breath hitch.

“Even when I am old? Complaining all about the wrinkles that will mar my face?” She tried to joke, want to ease the intensity of his confession.

He stopped walking, his intense brown eyes focusing on her.

She lowered her gaze.

His fingers captured her chin.

Locking her doe shaped eyes with his soulful brown ones.

His gaze fluttered to her face, taking in every minute change that was coming on that beautiful face.

She couldn’t believe her cheeks were turning a darker shade of red, how much more can she blush?

She wondered.

Though she had joked, a part of her heart still wanted to know the answer, he smiled softly, as though saying that this was the silliest question he had heard.

“You know after sixty years down the lane, when you will be old, whining and complaining about all those wrinkles, for me you will still be the most beautiful woman for me. For you have blessed the five of us heartless men with a heart, a life. Where we were given nothing by hate and disgrace by all, you were the only to accept us. To love us. We owe you our life, you have given us everything that we once thought was just a distance dream that we can never achieve .” His words were laced with honesty.

He gazed at her while he whispered the words.

Wanting her to know, what she had done for him, for his brothers, how important she was for them.

Nothing in this world could ever compare to her, she was their true treasure.

“I don’t have words to express your importance love. For I know, no words could ever sum up the importance and love that you hold in our lives .” His words had her heart beating wildly in her chest, eyes filled with tears, she gazed up at him.

Her throat tightened with all the emotions, a hundred words wanted to flow out of her lips wanting to tell him just how important he was, just how much she loved him but the words seemed to have left her.

A lone tear sneaked past, tracing down the length of her rosy cheeks, before it could fall down, his finger shot out, ceasing its descend.

The tear rested on the tip of his forefinger, he raised it up bringing it to her eye level.

“Do you have any idea how precious this are my queen?” He questioned; his eyes intently focused on the tear drop.

“It’s worth more than my last drop of blood, I can kill and die, just so this drops never trace down your cheeks .” He said, his words were intense, their gaze locked.

She gulped, her eyes travelling to the tear drop and back to his face, a solemn expression masking his face.

“You really have no idea my love, how much I love you. And I don’t think mere words hold the capacity to express my feelings for you .” He whispered;

His hands wrapped around her picking her in his arms.

Her eyes remained locked with his, as he walked deeper in the garden.

The sound of flowing watered reached her ear, but she was too lost in those soulful brown eyes, that held the ocean of love for her.

What had she ever done to get such amazing husbands?

The question once again sneaked in her mind.

Trees surrounded this part of the garden completely, creating canopies that let slight light pass here and there, the sound of crickets filled the air, along with the sound of flowing water.

He lowered himself in front of the huge waterfall, his legs dipping in the cool soothing water, that reached till his calves.

She rested in his lap, her head laying on his chest.

As he hummed at her, his hands combing though her long dark tresses.

While his other hand caressed his child that rested in her, soft soothing touch calming her nerves.

Making her sigh.

“Arya.” She whispered.

Her voice soft.

He hummed.

Sighing in content.

He felt as though in this moment he held the world in his arms. He had his wife and child with him, what else he could ask more for?

All that he ever needed was with him in his arms in this moment.

The things that he once expected to be unattainable dreams, were now his reality.

“I love you.” He whispered the words, gazing into her eyes, his lips mashing with hers, moving them against his.

Though he was the strongest man out there, could crush an entire mountain if that id what he wished, but right now with her in his arms.

He was so very cautious with her, like she was the most precious, and she was. She was such an integral part of him, she was his present, his future.

She was in his memories and even in front of him, he felt like he was no longer himself, he was a part of her.

Whatever he was, he was now completely hers, there was nothing his anymore, not even himself.

She resided in his soul, he had now began living through her.

Through that one kiss, he wanted to express all this.

She was in his sleep, his dreams.

He laughed in her happiness and cried in her pain.

He woke up with her face in her mind and he slept with her on his mind, his life and death, she was it all.

She was all he had, she was his everything, in complete sense of the word.

He didn’t know how could he ever make her understand this, could any amount of words ever express this love that he held for her?

She was his journey and destination, she was his home, that he returned every time.

Without her what did he have?

He was a king, could have everything that he wished, but that was only one that he wished more than his life, more than his next breath, her.

She was all.

His past, present and his future.

Nothing more mattered, nothing else he wished.

His lips moved against hers, in a soft sync manner, weaving his love with hers.

Syncing his soul with hers.

He rested his forehead against her, breathing heavily with her.

“Never ever leave me princess.”

He whispered, almost pleading, he didn’t even know what he would do without her, there was no future that he saw without her, there was nothing without her.

Her heart thrummed hard in her chest, as the sparks of pleasure still thrummed through her, till now.

“Where would I ever go? When my heart is with you.” She whispered, his arms wrapping around her holding her close.

She laid her head on his chest listening to his thrumming heart. The soft soothing sound of it, lulling her to sleep. . .
