Chapter 34
Panchaali stretched, a smile blooming on her lips while her eyes flitted to Nakul who lay beside her. His handsome face was a mask of serenity, her hands stretched tracing his cheeks.
Over the time, her bond with her husbands was growing stronger, she couldn't believe that she had been so lucky to have them. At every point of her life she had been supported and loved by them, her cheeks flushed while she got up from the bed. Her feet touched the cold marble floor, earning a shudder that ran down her spine.
The cool morning air had goosebumps breaking throughout her body, it was so cold. Winter was settling in, making her want to do nothing more than to go back to sleep, but the duties of a queen beckoned her. She sighed, her gaze fleeting back to the soft dark bed that Nakul lay in, she remembered the feel of his warm cuddling, a sigh passed through her lips. Now was not the time, the familiar chirping of the birds had her gazing back at the open balcony, as though the dark green forest was beckoning her.
Her feet carried her to the balcony, a serene peace settling in her chest while she gazed around the thick lush forest surrounding the palace. She could hear the distance chirping of various birds who were awaking, the cool morning breeze tickled her, teasing her. How long had it been since she had just taken a walk in the fresh morning air? She tried to recall well too long, recently her life has been such a chaos that simple things such as taking a walk, or just peacefully watching the clouds pass by had vanished from her mind.
A queen, is what many wished to be but she just wanted to be a normal girl. She missed the days when she stayed along with her husbands in the middle of nowhere, their happy little world, tucked away from all the harshness of the world.
The fresh air of the dawn filled her chest, bringing with it a fleet of memories. She had been so lost in her mind, that she didn't realise that she wasn't alone till strong arms wrapped around her waist, a hard chest pressing in her back. Her body stiffened before the familiar scent of musk tingled her senses making her sigh. She relaxed against Arjun, her head laying on his shoulder while she gazed at the forest.
Dhananjay beamed, the feel of her in his arms settled a peace in his chest, that he had been missing for so long. He nuzzled her head, the familiar fragrance of blue lotuses making him smile, it had just been hours maybe since he last saw her yet it felt like eons had passed. "I missed you love." He cooed, his soft soothing confession in her ear making her shudder, he pressed the tip of his nose in the crook of her neck, his hands tightening on her waist, pulling her harder against him till he was all she could feel.
"You just saw me last night." She tried to tease, her voice sounding breathier, as his warm breath tickled the sensitive skin of her neck."A minute apart from you feels like an eternity, so imagine what this hours of separation might have done to me." He whispered making her breath hitch, honesty rang through his words making her shudder as she heard the words. Her heart fluttered in her chest, warmth spreading through her. Making her feel like she had won the world, this little confessions of her husbands weaved them together in a strong bond.
She felt him turn her around, her hip pressing in the cold metal of the railing, making a shiver run down her spine. Her body heated despite the cold when he pressed his hard muscled chest in hers, her eyes flitted up their gazes locked. And it was like everything slowly faded.
His dark hazel pulls were a sea of emotions, so deep that they threatened to drown her in them.
Making her forget everything else, the love that reflected in those hazel orbs, had her heart skipping a beat. Her breathing came in short pants, she tried to look away but it was nearly impossible.
His hands tightened on her waist, a smile teasing on his lip. What had he done to deserve her? He often wondered, her innocent dark eyes gazed up at him with all the love that he felt for her making his heart cease to beat.
"Good morning love birds." The gruff morning voice of Nakul had the trance breaking, Panchaali's cheeks heated, her eyes lowering as embarrassment filled her. Her heart hammered in her chest wildly.
Arjun groaned turning around, his eyes meeting with amused brown orbs of Nakul. "Am I interrupting something?" He teased, knowing very well that he had interrupted a moment. Laughter laced his voice as he uttered the words, Arjun smirked, his eyes holding brothers gaze in an intense manner.
"Of course not." He whispered as he slammed his lips against Panchaali's, making her eyes widen in shock before they shut slowly. His lips moved against hers, moving in sync in with hers. Pulling her deep in cocoon of his love, where slowly everything faded, it didn't matter who was watching who wasn't. It didn't matter where she stood, what she was doing, or who she was, everything slipped away. The reality slipping away, all aspects of her life faded away.
In that one moment only one thing mattered, him. Nothing else existed. Her lips moved against his weaving a story of love that she failed to often express. Her love for her husbands was so intense, deep that it often scared her. She could never express in her words, how can she express the sea of love that she held in them. This kiss may give a depth to her expression to her love.
But she doubted anything in this world could express how much she loved them. His tongue tangled with hers, pulling her even further in the depths of the abyss of their feelings. Her hands clutched on his chest, the hard planes of his chest were emitting heat, threatening to burn the very last of her rational sense.
Goosebumps spread throughout her, his hands tracing the curves of her body. Ingraining the last of her perfect supple skin to his mind, the ocean of love threatened to turn into a tsunami destroying the last of her hesitation. Pulling her in a world where it was just the two of them, two souls who love each other. Where nothing but them mattered.
Arjun pulled back, their lungs burning for oxygen. His eyes gazing down at her, the once hazel eyes were now darkened with desire and the love. He pressed his lips to her forehead making her shudder, as pleasure sparked at the base of her spine. He lowered his head, his breath teasing her neck, while he whispered in her ear.
"See you soon love." The unsaid promises hung heavy in the air, making her heart speed up in anticipation. Her cheeks flushed a darker shade of red, as he pressed his lips to her forehead. Lingering there longer than normal, "Always so beautiful." He whispered against her forehead, the soft sweet confession making warmth thrum through her. Her eyes turned up to him, their gazes locked, an entire conversation seemed to pass between them, expressing things that their lips never could. He held his gaze as he slowly backed away, willing her to break the eye contact but she held on. Her gaze refusing to leave him, he knew it was getting late, his duties called but those dark orbs of his love held him captive.
Addicted to those dark pools, that held his world in there. A smile appeared on his lips making her heart thrum harder, he continued to back away slowly holding his gaze till he reached the balcony entry, he winked, a silent promise that he will see her soon.
A longing filled sigh left her lips as she watched him turn around and leave till he left her room. She blinked her eyes, her gaze settling on Nakul who stood by the door of the balcony, his body leaning against the wall, his gaze lit with amusement as he watched her, making her cheeks heat up in embarrassment.
He walked up to her, standing in front of her as he gazed down at her. Nervousness fluttered in chest, she felt arms begin wrapped around her waist before he brought her close to his chest. His fore finger rested under her chin and made her look up, her eyes fluttered shut.
"You never have to be embarrassed for the bond you share with us. Love knows no limit princess." He whispered, his voice so soft that it could barely have been mistake for a wind, a strong gust of breeze passed by making her hair fall in her face. He watched her mesmerised, her beauty holding him captive as his fingers traced her cheeks, tracing the hair away from her face. Unmasking the beautiful face of the woman who ruled his heart, her big dark eyes gazing up at him.
It was not the first time he had seen her, yet his heart was restless all the time to see her beautiful face. Every time he shut his trying to find himself, she was all that he found in him. Her face, her smile, where she ended and he began, the difference no longer mattered. A moments separation from her had his heart restless, this intense was his love.
Every time she was away from them, she always found them close, like they surrounded all the time. She could feel his thumb running back and forth on her cheek, the rough callous pad of his warrior hands rubbed back and forth creating a soft friction. Tingles sparked down her spine.
The knock on the door had them blinking, he smiled down at her kissing the soft skin of her forehead, lingering there longer, just feeling the warmth, feeling her before he moved back allowing her to move towards the doors.
She straightened her clothes before she pulled the doors open. A dasi stood there, she bowed her head, "Your highness Maharaj Sehdev has returned from Mathura." She relayed the message before turning away and leaving. Panchaali shut the door, she had ordered the maids to inform her when he returned, she was curious about the sudden departure of her husband to Mathura.
She walked to her bathroom, just as she was about to open the door, dark spots danced in her vision. She froze, waiting for the dizziness to pass, but instead it swept at her stronger. She felt the world turn on its axis before darkness swept her . . .
