Jungkook rang the door bell and Yoon Soo hastily opened it. They both bowed to each other and Yoon Soo let him in. He ran all the way upstairs to Haru's room and knocked on the door.

"Go away!"

"Haru! It's me, J-Jay! Open the door, please," he begged, knocking continuously.

"Not n-now, Jay, p-please. J-just go a-away. I don't w-wanna talk to anyone r-right now," she cried and sniffled.

Haru was sitting with her back against the wall, right beside the door, her head between her knees.

Jungkook, on the other side, sighed and slid down the door, with his head resting on it.

"I'm gonna sit here, and I'm not gonna move from here until you come out, or at least tell me what's wrong," he argued and Haru sighed, wiping a tear away from her cheek.

After a few more minutes of silence, Haru stood up and unlocked the door. Jungkook sat up as soon as he heard the lock click.

As she opened the door, Jungkook immediately pulled her into his arms and she gasped in shock. She relaxed and put her arms around his neck, as she hugged back, tears soaking his t-shirt.

They stood like that, in each other's warm embrace for some time before Jungkook pulled away to look at her face. He wiped off her tears and cupped her cheeks, lovingly.

"What's wrong, Haru?"

She sniffled and pulled him to her bed, as the two sat down next to each other. Jungkook put his arms around her shoulder as she told him why she was crying.

"Every time I get a call from the hospital saying that they found a donor or that they can perform the surgery soon, I feel so happy that I'll finally be able to see the world. But, it's like I'm not meant to be happy," she sniffled as Jungkook hugged her closer to his warmth.

"It's like someone doesn't want me to be free and happy again, I got a call from the hospital last night, and they said my surgery will have to be cancelled. I don't deserve my eyesight back, do I, Jay?" she cried out and Jungkook shushed her, wiping off some of his own tears.

He then pulled away and turned her to face him, even though she wouldn't be able to see him. He took both her hands in his and wiped her tears off, with his fingers.

"Haru?" he softly called out.

"Hmm?" she hummed in response.

"Can I kiss you?"
