"Look Out!" The voice said.

I could only stare at the flying item that was coming straight towards me.

I was suddenly grabbed by the shoulders and dunk down into the water, but I managed to get a quick breath.

I opened my eyes and saw someone on top of me! What the heck?! I thought.

The unfamiliar body soon rolled off of me. I kicked as hard as I could back to the top, gasping for air.

I took a huge breath and I heard someone say something.

"You okay? I'm sorry about that."

That voice sounded so familiar!

I quickly spun around. And I saw that same raven-haired boy that left me a year ago...he was the boy of my dreams...

Ash Ketchum.

"Ash?!" I gasped. He looked at me for a long time, his face was so still, it's like it was lifeless.

His face grew a smile. "Serena! It's really you!"

"Ash!" I opened my arms and he embraced me.

"It's been forever!" He said after we hugged. I nodded.

"Serena! Are you okay?" I looked to my left and saw Lillie and Populio running over to me.

"Serena are you okay?!" She asked, nervously. "I'm fine!" I smiled.

She turned to Ash. "Nice to see you again, Ash!" "Hey Lillie!" He responded.

"Ash!!! What's taking you so long?!" A tallish orange headed girl ran over to us.

"Sorry Misty. Just ran into a few friends." Ash rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly.

She studied me and Lillie. "Who are you two?" I could tell she was faking a smile.

"I'm Serena, and this is Lillie!" I put my hand on Lillie's shoulder. Lillie waved shyly.

"Oh. I'm Misty, Ash's girlfriend!" Misty took Ash's hand.

My heart stopped.

Did she just say girlfriend?!

I wanted to run, to cry. I wanted to escape reality.

"Are you okay?" Lillie whispered to me. I wanted to say yes but my mouth wouldn't let me.

"Say Serena, why are you here anyways?" Ash said, trying to change the subject.

"Well..I heard that Alola was really popular, so I decided to come and check it out myself." I said. "And I even got my very first Alolan Pokemon!" I added.

"Really? Which one did you choose?" Ash stepped closer, causing me to blush.

"Well-I got Populio" I smiled and picked her up.

"So did I!" Misty butted into the conversation. "But it evolved into Poliomade" she bragged.

I sighed. "Cool."

I turned to Ash. "So who did you choose?" I asked. Ash put his hands on his hips. "Rowlet of course!"

I giggled.

"Hey guys, maybe we should go out to eat. It is past lunchtime!" Lillie suggested.

"But Ash and I were going on a d-" Ash cut Misty off, "Sounds like fun! Let's go!"

That's the Ash I knew. Never denying a single meal.

We began to walk into town.

But I had a strange feeling about this Misty girl...
