Natasha's POV

"Is she dead?" I asked.

Looking at Diya who has been sitting like a statue for the past half an hour.

"Shut up Nadu" Aisha said.

"Dude what happened?" Sanju asked Diya for the 100'th time.

"Still no response ha?" Aisha asked.

"Nope" Sanju said.

There was a knock on the door I opened the Door it was Lali she looked devastated. She came inside, Diya looked up at her Lali placed the bundle of books she was carrying on the bed next to Diya.

"I should have reached earlier if I hadn't went back to get these"

She said kneeling down near Diya. She took both her hands in hers like Diya always used to do.

"Hey......I am sorry ok.....I know I should have told you earlier but....I wasn't sure how you will react"

"Lali....how did you hide your feelings so perfectly? How did you manage to pretend that you didn't love him all this while?"

Diya asked with the innocence of a child. Lali stood up and sat on the bed and narrated a story.

2014

When we were in collage together he used to date Meena, one day I and Meena were walking through the corridors talking suddenly I saw Sid walking towards us from the opposite direction his eyes was fixed on Meena and mine on him, when he reached near us he didn't even acknowledge my presence, he gave Meena a million dollar smile, he turned around to walk with her as he stepped towards the side, I took a few steps backwards so that he could stand parallel to her, that walk till the classroom felt like an eternity, I walked behind them the whole way I watched them exchanging romantic glances, Meena was blushing, pulling a few strands of her hair she rolled them around her little finger, Sid watched her in amusement without blinking, in between their romance no one noticed that I was walking behind them getting my heart shattered with every step we took.

"So whenever I feel that my emotions are overpowering me I repeat that scene in my head and I get the courage to stay away from him, the realization that he will never look at me the way he looked at her that day is more than enough for me to burry my feelings in the most deepest corners of my heart"

Lali said as she wiped her tears from the side of her eyes. Diya hugged her tight comforting her in the same way Lali did the day Sid rejected her.

"All of us thought that when Diya will finally find out about Lali's feelings their friendship would shatter but the total opposite happened they shared their love for Sid in the most beautiful way possible, both of them talked about their feelings openly, they cared for each other when they were overwhelmed with emotions" Aisha said.

"Both of them thought us the true meaning of unconditional and selfless love" Sanju said.

"Soon time passed and the date of the farewell approached, which mend only one thing, Sid was going to leave the collage and both the girls will have a tough time not seeing him every day" Natu said.

"But Lali being Lali was really positive about the whole situation and decided that staying away from him was the better option because that will give her the time to focus on herself and forget him better" Aisha said.

"As an unofficial farewell all of us juniors had arranged for a party in the nearby club and all of them free to being a date, while Sanju and Aisha got a date pretty easily, I, Diya and Lali didn't find anyone and we decide to stick to each other throughout the party" Natu said.

Sanju's POV

All of us ran around our room trying to get ready for the party, Lali did Diya's nails while she waited for her face pack to dry, Aisha had her rolls on her hair, while she helped me pick out clothes and matching shoes while Natu sat on the bed eating a bag of chips.

"Sanju, can you help me straighten my hair today?" Lali asked.

"Of course Lali, but I think curls will suit you better though" I said.

"Hey, Aisha can I borrow your red heels?" Diya asked.

"Seriously you are wearing heels for the party?" Natu asked with a frown.

"I am going to call my date and ask him when he is going to pick me up" I said as I dialled his number.

That's when someone knocked on the door.

"I will get it" Aisha said and went outside.

We heard whispers outside. Soon Sid entered our room, shocked at his unexpected presence Diya turned around hiding her face covered in face pack, Natu jerked and sat up dusting crumbles of chips from her face and dress.

"Sid.....what are you doing here" Lali asked irritated.

"What the hell is going on here? Did you guys confuse today's party with a Halloween party because you guys sure look like monsters" Sid joked.

"Shut up Sid, what do you know about being a woman?" Sanju asked.

"What are you doing here anyway?" Lali asked.

"I came to meet you, I needed a favour actually" Sid said.

"Ya right, why else will you remember me, whatever it is I am not going to help you" Lali said.

"Please, Lali this is important and I promise this will be the last favour" Sid said.

"Get lost Sid"

"I want you to be my date for tonight" Sid said.

"Wait....what?"

"Say yes, say yes, say yes" Diya mumbled.

"No, No I am not gonna be your date" Lali said.

"Are go with him yar what's the big deal?" Natu asked.

"Hey going alone to a party is better than going with him" I said.

"Sanju for god's sake....come on Lali we don't even know if we will ever meet again after the classes are over, please just one night and you don't have to see my face ever again" Sid said.

"Ok whatever, stop this melodrama" Lali said.

"You are the best" Sid said with a huge smile.

"Stop showing your teeth and get lost, I will see you tonight"

Sid walked outside.

"God..........." Lali held her head and sat down on the bed.
