AUTHOR'S POV:

Kabir's feet halted seeing Naina standing in front of his penthouse. Naina got up watching Kabir come out of the elevator door . She was sitting infront of his penthouse for the last 2 hours. She brushed her clothes with the back of her palms and came forward to him. Kabir's eyes widened like ping -pong balls. Naina expected such a reaction from Kabir. He said still in a daze , "I am hallucinating.. Didn't I??"

"No !! You are not !!" said a giggling Naina.

" Yes I am hallucinating.. last night also I saw you. But you were not there." He replied still not believing.

Naina came more closer to him , wrapped her arms around his neck and gave a sweet , searing kiss to his lips. "Oh fuck !! You are real !!" He muttered.

"Yeah ! I am real !!! In person , standing in front of you..!! Now Mr. Singhania will you please help your girlfriend a little. I am super hungry. Also I am waiting for you for the last two hours. Also I forgot to mention ,I am super jetlagged....." She said with a smile on her face. Kabir nodded his head and both of them entered inside. He was shocked and overwhelmed both at the same time. He couldn't believe that Naina was here. The only question running in his mind was why was she here?

After freshening up , Naina entered in the living room and saw Kabir was stirring something in the pan. He was effortlessly moving around the kitchen working like a pro. It was a view to watch. His bulging biceps flexing when he was stirring something in the pan, it was such a turn on for her. She walked leisurely towards the kitchen where Kabir was. She opened the lid of the pan and took a whiff of the fragrance. "Umm!! Butter chicken!!! Waah yaar !! I didn't know that you could cook".. Naina said munching on a cucumber slice which Kabir was cutting.

Kabir just smiled his signature smile and nothing more. He was having second thoughts. Seeing Naina so much chilled out and not talking about the past made him unrest. Sensing his uncomfortableness , Naina understood what he needed. Both of them were silent , previously silence was not so uncomfortable for them. Naina knew this was the time. She should talk it out. It was when Kabir spoke up , " Dinner is ready Naina !! Come on . You must be hungry..!" . Both of them settled in the dining table.

After having a hearty dinner , Naina was talking to her Ammu informing her about everything, Kabir was sitting on the couch in the living room , staring aimlessly at the flat TV screen. He was here physically but his mind was wandering somewhere else.

Naina handed at Kabir and hanged up the call. She went in the kitchen to make coffee for both of them. After preparing it , she took both of their mugs and went in the living room. Kabir broke out of his reverie , when Naina called out for him, "Kabir !! Coffee?"

"Thank you !!" He said a small thank you and sipped onto the hot , bitter liquid just as he loved.

"I know what you are thinking !!" Kabir glanced at Naina , she continued , "Why am I suddenly here , talking with you like everything is fine." He just nodded not meeting her eyes. "Look at me Kabir !!!!" She pleaded. His glassy eyes met with her pleading ones. She came closer to him and then cupped his face with both her hands and said , " I missed us Kabir. This is not us. Let's start afresh please...!!!!! I can't live without you....! Everyone leaves me Kabir. Please !! I am sorry if I have pushed this thing a little harder....!" She said and joined both of their foreheads. Tears flowing freely. She sobbed hardly hiding her face in his chest.

He wrapped his arms around her and kissed the crown of her head. "Why are you sorry baby !! It was not your fault.. never. It was me who never knew what real love felt like........which ended up in doing such stupid thing. I love you so much. I will never leave you.... I will never do such a thing.. please stay with me..." Kabir mumbled holding Naina tightly. A whirlwind of emotions surrounding his head. Naina detached herself from him and said while stretching out her pinky finger and said , "Promise me you will never pull out such a stupid stunt. You will always be with me. You will always love me." Kabir entangled his pinky finger with hers and whispered , "promise!!".

"Sachhi !!" Naina pouted

"Muchhi!!" Kabir replied chuckling and pecked her pout. She was looking adorable , her nose tip was all red, from all the chuckling.

"Are kiss karna hain toh thik se Karo na ..... yeh kya tha ???" ... Naina said again pouting her lips.

"Oooo !! Itna demand ?? Aren't you getting bold ??? Day by day !!" Kabir replied raising his eyebrows.

"Toh girlfriend hun tumhari... Its my haq to get a kiss from you.. And for bold..." Naina came closer to him and said , " Toh I was born bold baby !!!" She whispered and them winked at him. She bit her lips and chewed her lower lips .

Kabir groaned seeing his little girlfriend talking so seductively. He immediately smashed his lips to hers. Naina reciprocated the kiss with an equal amount. A few seconds after kissing Kabir detached and muttered "Oh Shit!! Shit !! Shit!!!" .
He again went inside while quickly saying her , "Just wait a second!! I am coming !".
He went inside and came back with two boxes small boxes. When he came closer, Naina identified that these were the same promise ring boxes which she bought that day for both of them.

He took out the ring and confessed , "I am so sorry Naina! Again !!" she was going to cut him off when he said, "No !! Please let me speak !! I just want to say that, I love you ! I promise you that I will never hurt you....! You are the best thing that has ever happened to me...I promise you to be with you forever..." Saying thus he slid the ring in her ring finger while Naina had tears in her eyes. She also slid the ring to his ring finger and said, "I love you!!" .

She closed the gap and kissed him passionately. It's like they both felt home. Days of living without each other , both of them were like craving each other. Naina moved her right hands towards his nape and clutched the back of his hairs. His lips were so soft and velvety. He nudged his tongue for entering and she gladly gave the permission. Both of their touches mingled tasting the bitter taste of coffee. Still kissing Kabir hovered over Naina , making her lie down on the couch. Wetness pooled between Naina's thighs. It was more than just a kiss. She could feel Kabir's hardened member poking her abdomen. Naina caressed his jaw which was adorned with the 5, O clock stubble. They both broke apart when Naina felt out of breath. A red hue adorned her cheeks. Naina was panting as well as Kabir. Their lips were swollen indicating the activities in which they were indulged in. He slid the sleeve of the top from her shoulder while trailing wet kisses through her jaw then to her earlobe. He continued giving those kisses through her neck, while Naina took a sharp breath. This feeling , was giving her goosebumps. She was moaning his name out while running his hands through his silky soft locks while her other hand was roaming around his back feeling his strong , taut back muscles. She wrapped her one leg over his back and he caressed bare thigh courtesy her cotton shorts. Both of their breathing was heavy. Her moans were giving him the urge to continue what he was doing. He bit her soft spot and she moaned feeling the painful yet pleasurable sensation. He soon licked his tongue over the spot , soothing the sensation. Soon he broke off and then kissed her forehead.

He whispered tucking a hair strand behind ger ear , "Why are you so irresistible ?" .
Naina just smiled and smooched his cheek. He smiled and got up while Naina asked him , "where are you going ?". Naina saw the tent which formed in his pants and blushed furiously. Kabir saw this and smirked while saying, " Yeh sab aapka kiya dhara hain Dr. Sahiba. Look what you did to me." He said pointing towards the bulge formed in his pants.. Naina fumbled with words and while Kabir just went away laughing to take a cold shower.

Naina sobered herself. She could feel the heat radiating out of her cheeks. She put her hands on her cheeks . She could feel the heat. It all felt like a dream to her .

NEXT DAY :

Naina patted herself for the Good work she had done. Today was going to be Kabir's birthday. So she made a homemade chocolate cake specially for him. She could have easily ordered for a fancy looking cake to celebrate his first birthday with her but she decided to bake it herself. It was a simple chocolate cake with chocolate butter cream and covered with chocolate glaze. He was a huge chocolate fan.

She glanced at the clock and quickly placed the cake inside the refrigerator. It was already 7.30 p.m already here in Manhattan , but Sun was still there in the sky. Today Kabir decided to take her outside for dinner. Earlier in the morning , after waking and getting fresh, they went out for breakfast in a small Cafe and then they took a stroll around the Central Park. Previously he thought of bringing Naina here. He would walk with her with hand in hand. His dream came true the next day. They both were leaving for India tomorrow.
She came inside the room and quickly showered and then wrapped herself in a towel. She chose a white romper with spaghetti sleeves. The makeup was minimal. For accessories she wore hoop rings. She sprinkled her favorite perfume. Finally she completed her look with white heels.

On the cue the doorbell rang and she saw Kabir standing there. He looked at her with wide eyes and after a few seconds said , "Wow!! You look stunning!!" . Both of them then went towards their destination. He took both of them to a fine dining restaurant which apparently was Kabir's favourite. After having a hearty and fulfilling dinner , they decided to walk to the apartment. But it was a bad idea since Naina was wearing heels. So they took a cab towards their apartment. Kabir didn't had an even ounce of idea what Naina has planned for him. After changing into their comfy night suit both of them went to sleep. Not before that Naina put on a alarm at 11.30 p.m. in the night.

Soon she got woke and quickly shut off the alarm, before Kabir could wake up. He has wrapped his arms around her waist. She looked at him and he was sleeping like baby, with his mouth slightly ajar. He looked so cute... Then she remembered her surprise and said , "Bad timing Nannu for gawking at your man !!" She tried to remove his arm but after few successful attempts she succeeded. The lights were already there she just needed to drape it around the railing and switch on it. She quickly took out the cake and placed it on the tea table. She brought the cushions from the couch of the living room. She hung the fairy lights and placed the candle lamps in the table. She saw the time it was just five minutes left to struck 12. She ran inside the room and started waking up Kabir , "Kabir wake up !!"
"Naina ! Yaar I just slept now..! Tum bhi so jao.." He spoke while closed his eyes and again went back to sleep. She then went hear his ears and said softly , "Kabir please wake up baby !! Look I have a surprise for you !! Please get up....!"... Soon after Kabir woke up not before grumbling. She entwined her hand with his and took him to the balcony. It was so beautifully lit. Kabir's eyes widened seeing the preparations. He turned around and that's when Naina wished him, "Happy birthday baby !!" and kissed his cheeks. "This ???" he trailed off.

"Do you like it?" Naina asked getting unsure.

"Like I loved it baby...!" Her face broke into a big grin. Soon all the family members including Ammu was on video call. On presence of everyone though virtually Kabir cut the cake. All the family members wished him. Though according to IST his birthday was after few hours , but still they celebrated it. When Kabir got to know that it was made by her he was feeling so special, that someone cared about him so lot. Someone did so much effort to make it so special for her. When he watch the gleam in her eyes , the excitement she was feeling for him , he knew she is the one. When everyone hung up , the first thing Kabir did was he kissed the hell out of her. It was like he was conveying all his emotions through his kiss. The emotions which couldn't be conveyed through words was now chanelling through this kiss. It was a promise which both of them made for eternity, by sealing the deal.

Also a little backstory. While writing this chapter I was listening to the song which is linked above after a long time , it was in my playlist. I remembered that this song was played in the last episode of TVD. So me being me started watching the re runs of the show and got late for updating this chapter. I love The Vampire Diaries.!!! Comment karke bata dena kis kis ka favorite show hai TVD?? also your favourite characters ..Mine is Stefan , Bonnie and Enzo !!!!

Also I only two chapters and an epilogue is left !! I will miss them....
