NAINA:

"Yaa Baba!! I ate my breakfast !! You?" I asked Kabir holding my phone between my right ear and shoulder while fishing my laptop in my bag.

"Okay ! All the best !! I know you will do your best !! Don't stress yourself" He replied.

"Thanks Kabir !! Bye !!" I replied...

"Okayyy! Chalo bye!! I love you !!" and he hung up. I was staring at the phone.

Shahrukh Khan rightly said in Om Shanti Om that , "Agar kisi cheese ko dil se chaaho to puri kaynaat usey tumse milane ki koshish mein lag jaati hai ..".......

Cliche and filmy right!!!?

But it's not a thing for me , it's a dream for me...... After Advait's death, I always thought of doing something for Cancer patients. Their untimely death (in some cases) obviously leaves the family members shredded apart just like his death did to me. There remains no hope , no Ray of light just nothing. It seems like it takes just a minute to leave your life in pieces. In general people ignore doing a health checkup throwing away the thought that what will happen by doing a full body checkup, we should go to the doctor only when we are sick etc. Etc. but Cancer can occur to a person irrespective of its age , gender , race anything but when it is detected its already late. It can be cured , in fact people live a long life after it is cured. So I decided to organize a health camp in order to spread awareness regarding this issue.

This idea came to my mind a long time ago. I was determined to make this turn into reality. Though it may sound cliche and totally impossible but I still wanna try. If I can save a single person or a single family from this destruction named Cancer then I think my aim to be a doctor will be fulfilled.

Few days ago I proposed this idea of a health camp to Vedant and Fatima but I didn't had the courage to propose it to my senior chief Dr. Roy. But yesterday I got a call from chief at night after my shift regarding this camp clearly indicating that either Fatima or Vedant has informed him about it. I briefed him and surprisingly he was interested and asked me to prepare a presentation regarding it , that how it will work , how it will benefit people etc. He told me that he will inform the higher officials i.e. all the Chairperson and the CEO and also the head of other departments. I have two days in my hand to prepare the ppt. I was skeptical about the idea at first but chief encouraged me to not doubt on myself. He said to me that I am capable of doing this. So finally today I am going to give my presentation. I was adding up final touches.

After satisfied with my final work , I closed my laptop. My phone chimed with the notification, " All the best" from Kabir. I don't know what would have happened if he wasn't with me. I was freaked out after the call with Dr. Roy. He patiently listened to my rambling as a good boyfriend and supported me.

Yup!! Boyfriend !!! After that night when we ummmm...... kissed , he asked me to be his girlfriend!!! And I said yes !! It's really quick right for someone whom you met just one and a half month ago ! But what can I do !

The last two days I barely talked with him, he patiently told me that we have a lifetime to talk but for now this is important. On a cue the telephone in my table rang up and I picked it up. Chief informed me that everyone is already present, I should report immediately.

I was standing in front of the presentation room. My hands were sweating , a feeling which gets over me whenever I am nervous. Rubbing my sweaty palms , I entered the room only to get the shock of my life..

KABIR:

She was completely shocked , seeing me sitting with other people in the conference room. But soon after recovering from the initial shock which wasn't noticed by anyone except me, she shook hands with everyone professionally. I always want her to achieve the things which she wished for , supporting her.

Since last two days she was really busy telling me that she is busy with some sort of health camp. Though I don't get those medical terms but seeing the way she was explaining things it was very much important to her. She was nervous regarding the presentation. As much as possible I tried to support her.

Dad is an important board member of this hospital so last night he asked me to replace him there as he has some important task to attend.

Soon as I entered I was filled in with the information regarding the presentation by Roy uncle and I came to know that it was the same health camp which Naina was talking about.

Soon the presentation was going to start and for a split second Naina glanced at me, she seemed to be nervous. I assured her through my eyes that everything will be fine and averting her eyes she started the presentation.

AUTHOR'S POV:

The moment Kabir blinked his eyes in assurance, Naina got a boost of confidence. She started giving her presentation and after ending it there was a round of applause for her from everyone. Her presentation got approved from everyone and now everything is needed to be done in practical.

Kabir could easily inform her about his arrival in this meeting but he didn't because of two reasons. First he was well aware of her capabilities and secondly he didn't want anyone to think that it was because of him that her presentation got approved. Though they never needed to hide anything from anyone because they both were private persons and secondly what they have between them is real.

Naina was elated seeing everyone's reaction. Everyone present in the room was praising her while she looked at Kabir whose expression seemed ,Told- you- everything -will- be- fine . Everybody went out , it was only Kabir and Naina left. She exclaimed to him, "Don't tell me that this hospital is also a branch of your company !!" coming near him.

"Yes it is !!" Kabir smiled giving a cheeky grin.

"You never told me ! And when I called you I the morning why didn't you inform me that you are coming??" She asked putting her hand in the side of her hips , trying to be intimidating.

"I will tell you ... but we need to go somewhere. Come in the parking quickly . I am waiting for you we will have our lunch together... okay bye !!" He told him hurriedly and kissed her adorable pout and then turned to go out...

She was blank about what just happened, before she could ponder over the fact , by that time he already strode out. Huffing she came out and saw Vedant and Fatima waiting for her. As soon as she came out , they both hugged her and Fatima said , "I know you can do it !! Congrats!!!"

"Your welcome!! But between both of you who informed Chief about this ??" Naina asked raising her eyebrows .

"Me ..... !! " Vedant chirped.

"Well thank you so much Ved ... If you hadn't told Chief about this then I wouldn't have seen this day ! Thank you !!" Naina replied being grateful.

"Chal!! Thank you ki bachhi!! Sirf Thank you se kaam nahi chalega I want treat !! " Ved said more of ordered her.

" Done !!! Chal de dungi treat !!! Okay Bye ..." She bid them goodbye .

Naina came down in the parking lot . There were not many people and she saw Kabir leaning in his favorite Ashton Martin. She took a good few minutes ogling at her man. His hair gelled perfectly. His grey suit and tie was probably now in his car's backseat. First two buttons of his shirt was open, his well built chest peeking out. His full sleeved shirt now rolled till elbows, his veins hands on full show. He was looking in his phone watching something while his other hand was scratching his neatly trimmed beard. His thick wrist complimented with his watch. She could gawk at him the whole day.

She came near him and sensing her presence he looked up and then giving a broad smile he took her in a bone crushing hug. He dipped his face in her hair and inhaled her scent and said, "Congratulations baby,!!!"

"Thank you !!" Naina replied in a muffled voice. He then looked up and was going to kiss her when Naina closed his mouth with her palms and said widening her eyes , "Not here Kabir !! If someone sees us then ??"

"No one will see !! And I don't care if someone sees us or not because you are mine!!" saying this he smashed his lips with her. Both of their lips moved in sync with each other. He could taste her strawberry flavoured lip balm which is going to be his favorite from now on. The kiss was full of love and assurance. He left her when she was put of breath and then they hugged each other.

Suddenly , both of them heard a clapping sound. Since the parking lot was mostly empty , the sound was echoing. Both of them turned their heads here and there to find the source of the sound when a voice said , " Wow !! Dr. Naina Bedi....!! Well played !!!!"...

Naina knew that voice !!... The figure came out from behind a car and Naina's eyes widened seeing that person. Her guess was right !!!
