seven.

The next day you were walking into school, and Mina immediately linked her arm with yours.

"I'm so sorry I acted like that yesterday. I don't know what came over me. Forgive me?" She pouted.

You nodded. "I forgive you, but you should apologize to Felix, also."

"Speaking of Felix, lets talk about him."

At lunch Mina went to the rooftop, where Jinee was sitting criss cross.

"You have it recorded?" She asked.

"Yeah, I got it this morning. A whole conversation about him." Mina told Jinee.

She nodded. "Good. Sit."

Mina did as she said and handed her the recording. "What I'll do, is I'll cut the tape and make a new one, making it sound like she was saying something completely different. I'll clean it up and double check it, then I'll send it to you. And then you're free to do with it as you please."

"Thank you so much-"

"Whatever."

Jinee rolled her eyes and left Mina on the rooftop. She shrugged and looked over the railing.

"You poor thing, Y/N."

Later that day, you were with Felix. "Your parents are so nice!"

"They really like you, Y/N." He said.

You set your chin in your palms and sighed. "I was scared that they wouldn't like me."

"Why?" He tilted his head.

"I don't know," you trailed off and looked up at him. "How about we work on that project?"

He nodded and got his paper out of his bag, as you did the same. "What friend did you pick?" You asked.

He looked up at you and smiled, his cheeks slightly pink. "You."

"No way! I picked you!"

He giggled, that giggle that made your heart skip a beat. "I told you to stop doing that." You laughed.

He looked down and started writing, then he giggled again, making you playfully slap his shoulder.

"You're going to make my heart jump out of my chest, Lee Felix."

You started writing, the he chuckled cheekily. "I'll catch it if it does."

You looked up at him, wide eyed at the smiling boy. "You need to write that down. That was good."

"I have more, do you want-"

"No. I don't want to hear them, because I might pass out from your cuteness."

"I don't need you passing out on me."

"Felix, are you going to buy the whole store?" You laughed.

"No." He said, turning back to the cashier. "And also some sprinkles, please."

You shook your head playfully. "Oh my, gosh."

After he finished piling toppings onto his ice cream, he finally paid for it and you took your seats. So, why did you choose me for a friend you admire?"

"Because there are a lot of things I admire about you, but I'm not telling you what." You told him. "You have to wait until we present in class."

He pouted. "That's not fair."

He reached over and tapped the bottom of your ice cream cone, making it hit your nose. "Lee freaking Felix."

He laughed, and you couldn't help but smile at his adorable eye smile.

"I can't even be mad at you." You mumbled.

He smiled and you ate your ice cream for a little bit, until you spoke up.

"Why were you scared to move here?" You asked.

"Well, for one, I'm not very good at Korean. And I also didn't think I would make any friends."

"I felt like that once." You looked down. "When I moved here from H/C, I was treated really badly."

"What do you mean?"

You looked back up at him and sighed. "Sophomore year I got bullied really bad, and I did a lot of things I shouldn't have. And then the summer before junior year, I decided that if I couldn't stand up for myself, then I would stand up for others, and I finally started making friends."

Felix looked at you, and then at your left wrist where the scar was. "Did you hurt yourself?" He whispered.

He sounded so fragile, like he would break.

"Yeah." You responded.

You crumpled your napkin up and threw it away, as did he.

"But I'm okay now. I'm happy." Half lie.

"If you ever think about hurting yourself again, call me, and I'll help you through it. I promise."

You nodded, and both of you headed out. You walked from his house to the ice cream shop, so you just walked back to your house. When you got into your driveway, instead of Felix getting in his car, he pulled you into a hug.

"I'm so grateful that I met you, Y/N, and I don't want to lose you, ever."

You hugged him tighter and nodded into his shoulder.

"You won't lose me, Felix."
