Frisk's POV (Dream)

~I was cuddling with Chara while looking at the sunrise and it was really relaxing. I laid my head on their shoulder, hugging their waist. They had an arm wrapped around me as well as we watched the sun disappear over the horizon. The orangy sky above us set a calming mood and I couldn't help but feel at peace sitting here with the one I loved. Then, everything changed. The serene setting flickered to a dark, drab one. When everything flickered and faded into a new area, I noticed there were no lights on and I could hear a dripping noise. The walls seemed to be leaking a red liquid. Could it have been blood? I didn't want to think about that possibility. I started to hear footsteps and Chara came up to me with a sadistic smile plastered on their face. Their eyes had changed from their normal dark brown back to the red I had seen them with a few times before. I gave a worried look at them and all they did was slowly drag their thumb across their neck which usually meant to a person that they were dead. This only made me more worried but the thing that scared me the most was that this motion actually caused Chara to bleed like they had just dragged a knife across their neck instead of just their thumb. They then started to laugh creepily and the real world phased back in but I could still hear the low maniacal laughter for some time after.~ 

I woke up in a cold sweat, breathing heavily. What I had just witnessed made me very worried. Was there a meaning behind that? Would Chara actually want to hurt me? No, that thing wasn't Chara. That laugh was not theirs. I could tell it wasn't their voice. That was something else, I just know it. I looked over to Chara and they looked like they were having a nightmare. I shifted over to them and enveloped them in a hug. I cuddled with Chara as they slept and they started to look a bit calmer. Chara didn't completely calm down, they still looked distressed but, they didn't toss and turn as much. Chara buried their weight into me as they slept and I kept them in a tight, protective hold. Soon enough, Chara woke up and looked side to side before calming down when they laid eyes on me. They gave me a quick squeeze before letting go. 

"Well, this is new." I said. 

"I just wanted a hug. I don't ever want to lose you, alright?" Chara said back. 

"Of course you won't lose me. I would never let myself be taken from you." I promised Chara and they nodded. 

We got out of the bed and I gave Chara a sly look. 

"Oh, Chara~ You do realize this is technically our first time sleeping together." I tease. 

I can see their face get red and they cover their cheeks. 

"th-that's not t-true. What about in Snowdin?" Chara stammered. 

I giggled then replied. 

"That doesn't count. You rolled under the bed then." I said. 

"True. Can we just go now please?" Chara pleaded. 

"Alright, I've had my fun. We can go now." I answered before Giving Chara a peck on the cheek. 

Their face became tomato red and they looked dumbfounded. 

"Wha!" Chara exclaimed. 

I giggled once again and left the room, leaving them completely confused. The door closed and they seemed to stay in the room. I went down to the main area and into a burger emporium. There were some pretty interesting and Mettaton based foods so I bought some for later on and left the emporium. Chara seemed to be standing outside of the area. I tapped their shoulder to get their attention and once again, we were on the move. For the next little while, there were just more repetitive laser puzzles. I mean, don't get me wrong, the puzzles are fun and all but, after so many, they start to get boring. Anyway, we kept moving forward so we could reach our end goal of once and for all getting the monsters to the surface.

Random person: Huh? What's there to be excited about?

Well, my good fellow. The story is on its way to completion! I can smell it. There are actually only 5 more chapters after this one so I hope you guys are ready for that. Alright, see ya later. Baii!
