Chara's POV

In the next area, there was an ominous structure in the distance. Alphys called saying how that was the core and mentioned that, that was where we were headed. Frisk looked at the far away structure in wonder. We walked on and reached an elevator. Frisk and I entered it and went up a floor. And were met with a young fire elemental. 

"Heh. I'm Heats Flamesman. Remember my name!" He requested cheerfully. 

Frisk smiled at him and nodded then moved on. In the next area, we saw Sans running another hotdog stand. For some reason, even in a place like hot land, there was still snow on the roof of his stand. I looked at it questioningly but brushed it off as nothing. 

"hey buddy, what's up? wanna buy a hotdog? it's only 30G." Sans asked. 

Frisk nodded but they didn't have enough space to fit a hotdog so Sans put it on their head. Frisk giggle and asked for another one. Sans stacked it on the first one. 

Frisk asked again and again until, "i'll be 'frank' with you. as much as i like putting hot dogs on your head... thirty is just an excessive number. twenty-nine, now that's fine, but thirty... does it look like my arms can reach that high?" Sans commented in a kind of sarcastic tone.

 I snickered a bit at Frisk and Sans' antics. Frisk shook their head and a lot of the hot dogs came toppling down. The process went on again and this continued for a solid half an hour. Eventually, I had to stop them. 

"Come on Frisk, we have to keep going." I said and Frisk nodded. 

We waved goodbye to Sans and were on our way again. Until now, I had never noticed how hot it was. I stopped walking and took off my sweater. Now in just an undershirt, I tied my sweater to my waist and kept walking. I sped up to catch up with Frisk who, I guess didn't notice me stop. They looked over at me and I could see them start to blush. They didn't say anything and we just kept walking. There were a few more puzzles along the way then we heard someone call to us. 

"Hey! You! Stop!" Someone said from behind Frisk and I. 

We turned around and were met with two guards running towards us. 

"We've, like, received an anonymous tip about two humans wearing stripped shirts. They told us they were wandering around hotland right now... I know, sounds scary, huh? Well, just stay chill. We'll bring you someplace safe, ok?" One guard said before leading us both somewhere. 

One of the guards stopped and the other guard, Frisk and I followed in this action. 

"...huh? what is it bro?" The other guard asked. 

"The shirts they're wearing? Like, what about them? Are you thinkin... what I'm thinkin? Bummer. This is like... Mega embarrassing. We, like, totally have to kill you and stuff." The guard said and Frisk was brought into a battle.

Frisk's POV

I was brought into a battle with the two guards. Royal Guard attacks! Chara narrates. 

The guard 02's armor looked dirty and they seemed to be sweating through it while, guard 01 had clean shiny armor so I cleaned it. 

You clean RG 02's armor. Its cooling dirt starts to wash away. Chara said. Guard 01 threatened me while 02 started to overheat. 

"... getting...warmer." They said. 

Both guards attacked and 02 spoke again. 

"... can't... take it... armor... too... HOT!!!" 02 shouted and flung off his chest plate. 

"... much better." 02 sighed in relief and 01 started to noticeably sweat. 

RG 01 looks bothered by something. Chara narrated. 

*I can see that Chara. You know you don't need to narrate EVERYTHING right?* I thought but, didn't say out loud. 

I thought for a second and realized that 01 had feelings for 02. Over the rest of the fight, I coaxed 01 to confess his feelings and eventually it worked. 

"D-dude... I can't... I can't take this anymore! Not like this!! Like, 02! I like... I like, LIKE you, bro! The way you fight... The way you talk... I love doing team attacks with you. I love standing here with you, bouncing and waving our weapons in sync... 02... I, like, want to stay like this forever..." 01 admitted. 

02 stayed silent and I watched intently as the scene went down. 

"Uh... I mean, uh..." 01 stammered. "Psyche! Gotcha bro!!! Haha!" 01 then said nervously. 

"...01." 02 finally spoke up. 

"Y-yeah, bro??" 01 replied. 

"... do you want to... get some ice cream... after this?" 02 asked 

"Sure dude! Haha!" 01 answered in a more giddy tone. 

01 and 02 are looking at each other happily. Chara said and I spared the two guards. You won! You earned 0 EXP and 100 GOLD. The battle ended and Chara joined back up with me.
