Frisk's POV

In the next room, there was an extremely tall cave mouth. Fascinated, I slowly looked up to see how high it went and at the top, I saw Undyne. 

"Oh, good grief. I thought we could finally have some peace from her for once." Chara muttered. 

"Seven. Seven human souls, and King Asgore will become a god. 

"Oh, come on. Not this again." I complained in a whisper. 

"Six. That's how many we have collected thus far. Understand?" With every sentence, Undyne turned slightly to face Chara and I. 

"Through your seventh and final soul, this world will be transformed and you, your soul Is just an added bonus." Undyne said, pointing to Chara. 

"First, however, it is customary for those who make it this far... I shall tell you the tragic tale of our people. It all started long ago..." Undyne started then paused. "No, you know what? SCREW IT! WHY SHOULD I TELL YOU THAT STORY WHEN YOU'RE ABOUT TO DIE! NGAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Undyne sounded a battle cry then while facing away from Chara and I, took off her helm and slightly turned her head to look at us both. 

Her eye menacingly glinted and she started to talk again. 

"You! You're standing in the way of everybody's hopes and dreams! Alphys's history books made me think humans were cool... With their giant robots and flowery swordswomen." This remark confused me as I had never once seen or heard of giant robots or anyone wielding swords. 

Oh well. With that, I kept listening. 

"BUT YOU? You're both just cowards! Hiding behind that kid just so you could run away from me again! And let's not forget your wimpy goody-two-shoes schtick! Oooh! I'm making such a difference by hugging random strangers!" Undyne mocked. I felt a bit hurt. 

"You know what would be even more valuable to everyone? IF YOU WERE DEAD!!! And it's only fair if your little girlfriend goes down with you!" That last sentence made my face heat up as I covered my cheeks. 

I looked over at Chara to see their blush was a bit darker than usual. Undyne continued. 

"That's right, humans! Your continued existences are a crime! Your lives are all that stand between us and our freedom! Right now, I can feel everyone's hearts pounding together! Everyone's been waiting their whole lives for this moment! But we're not nervous at all. When everyone puts their hearts together, they can't lose. Now, human! Let's end this, right here, right now. Then you're next." Undyne said, glaring menacingly at Chara. 

They looked scarred and I held onto their arm. 

"I'll show you both how determined monsters can be! Step forward when you're ready! Fuhuhuhu!" She laughed and I took a worried look at Chara. 

They returned it and I took a deep breath then a shaky step forward. 

"That's it, then... No more running away! HERE I COME!" Undyne shouted then, with a spear in hand, she jumped right infront of me and started a battle. 

My half soul appeared again and Undyne Looked surprised for a moment before giving a chuckle. I wonder what she was thinking. She swiped her spear at me and I closed my eyes and braced for the pain but it didn't come. I slowly opened my eyes to see that my soul was now green. 

"En guarde!" Undyne shouted and it was my turn to attack.

The fight had been going on for at least five minutes and I hadn't been able to spare Undyne yet. I had tried running away once at the beginning of the fight but, I couldn't. My soul was turned red once again and I decided to try and run away again. It worked so I ran as fast as I could to get away. I noticed Chara following close behind me followed by Undyne. She eventually caught up and turned my soul green again. We fought a bit longer before she turned my soul back to red and I charged off again. I ran for a while until I heard my phone ring. I didn't want to be rude so I stopped running and answered it.
