I could see them grow a wide smile while I filled with terror. My mouth gaped open and I immediately snapped back into reality. "U-uh platonically, of course!" I shouted hurriedly, shaking my hands in front of me. I rubbed the back of my neck, awkwardly as I saw Frisk's smile drop quite a bit. I sighed.

Frisk's POV

I followed Chara to where ever they were going. They made their way back to the mountain entrance and I saw them lay down. I stayed near the archway that separates one room from another and watched them. Chara seemed to be thinking, and then they spoke. "I like Frisk." They said in a tone of realization. *Th-they do?* My face lit up. I can't believe that Chara actually likes me back! Chara noticed I was there and immediately retracted their statement. "Platonically, of course!" They covered. I dropped my smile but not all the way. I knew that they were lying. No one just announces that they platonically like someone like that, but it bothered me that they would lie to me about it. I decided that I would try to just ignore the fact that they liked me for now, just to try and appease them. I walked over to Chara, lying beside them and putting my hands on my stomach. I looked over at Chara and shrugged. *So I guess you don't want to talk about this?* I signed. "There's nothing to talk about." Chara retorted, turning to face the opposite way of me. I got up and made my way back to Toriel's for the night. I didn't want goat mom being worried about me, since I hadn't come back to check in with her in a while. When I got back to goat mom's house, I said hello, gave her a hug, then made my way to the room she gave me to rest for the night. That night, I had dreams of today's events. Replays of the kiss and Chara admitting they like me filled my thoughts till the moment I woke up. I made my way back to where Chara was sleeping and I couldn't immediately spot them. This worried me a little bit. Where would they go? I looked around the area first and I saw them in the hole I dug out. *Hm, wonder how that happened?* I thought. I climbed in carefully and looked at Chara sleeping peacefully in the hole. I watched them sleep for a while. *I should probably get them out of this hole.* I thought but I didn't do anything about it. They looked so cute and peaceful sleeping and I didn't want to wake them, instead, I sat down and continued to watch them sleep.

Chara's POV

I woke up and got off the ground, yawning with a stretch. I looked down at the ground and noticed I was back in the hole for the second time in a row. I grimaced, making a mental note to sleep farther away from this wretched hole. I looked back up and my eyes locked with Frisk's. *Why did you look so angry?* they asked. I didn't answer, I just shook my head and began climbing out of the hole, with them, no doubt following behind me.

Frisk's POV

Chara ignored my question and just started making their way out of the hole. I climbed out immediately after them. *Man, they have one nice- No!* I derailed that train of thought. *I shouldn't think things like that.* I scolded myself. We got out of the hole and I started a conversation. *So Chara?* I started. "Hm?" They asked. *Well, you know how I have to leave at some point to save the underground right?* I asked back. They sighed and then spoke. "Of course I do Frisk, I'm not stupid. Why?" *Well, I just thought I would mention it since I would have to leave and wouldn't be able to talk to you anymore. I just thought that you might wanna talk about that for a little bit.* I answered. "It's fine Frisk, you don't have to be with me every second, I'll be just fine." They said. *Alright, I just thought it would be worth mentioning since you wouldn't really have anyone to talk to.* I signed. We dropped the subject after that.
