16 | Mental health institute

I'll be going to Croatia tomorrow and I don't know how often I'll update. Still I think nothing really will change.

A couple of you asked for the depressing song, in the last chapter and I put the quote up there from the song. I also found in on pinterest, so I don't know from whom it's from.

-3rd POV-

Before the boys could jump, they were pulled back by two bodyguards. They slowly stand up and Katsuki and Shoto look at each other before the two guards grab them by their hands and drag them back down. The two are too shocked to even react or to fight back, so they just let them drag them back down.

In the hall of the hospital they are met by Nemuri, Katsukis parents, Shotos siblings, the police and the guy from the mental health institute. "Did you really think I am dumb enough to only take the pills again. I know you guys I knew there was more on your mind. Did you really think you would let you go like that?" Nemuri is crying while Mitsuki is trying to calm her down. "Katsuki" Masaru walks towards his son and wants to hug him, but Katsuki pushes him away "D-don't touch me" the body guards let go of the two boys and they immediately intertwine their hands again and don't let go of each other.

Katsuki and Shoto are still shocked by seeing their family members and the police there. "Nemuri, what did you do?" Mitsuki let go of the hug and Nemuri walks towards the boys "After I took the pills, I called the guards to run after you. They probably sneaked behind you so you wouldn't see them. Then I called the police and the dude who I hate. After I called your family members. I'm sorry boys, but it can't go on like this" the boys tighten their grip and move closer to each other "What do you mean it can't go on like this?" Katsuki almost whispered, but still talked loud enough so they could hear. "I have the consent of your family. I am really sorry, but you will no longer see each other" the boys look at each other and then at the people in front of them again.

Nemuri looks at the guy from the mental health institute "We have to wagons, they go in different institutes, so they won't see each other" she looks at the guards and nods at them. They grab the boys by their hands and try to tear them apart. The two scream at the guards, they try to kick them, the get violent only to get out of the grip of the two guards.

You probably can't describe what everyone in the hall is feeling. Nemuri, the nurse who always was on Katsukis side and was almost like the second mother to him, feels guilt. She didn't want all this, she thought she could help them, but she never thought of the worst, she just wasn't prepared for that, she thought she could handle it all by herself. The guilt she was feeling, was mixed with sadness, anger and relive. Relive, because she knows that they will be send to a place where the people know what are they doing, still there will be always a broken part in the boys' hearts because they are not with each other and Nemuri knows that.

Katsukis parents, who always supported him, who always were scared, are on the edge of tears. Their boy who only had anorexia at first, suffers from depression now and attempted suicide. They don't know what to feel. It seems like sadness is not enough to feel at the moment, their feelings are beyond sadness.

Shotos siblings, who couldn't support him in the past years because of their abusive father, feel the same what they did over all the years. After all it was like a story repeats to the, Shoto always did the same, cried, cut and tried to kill himself. The feelings didn't really changed over the years.

The police officers couldn't look at the scene it was just heartbreaking for them. Just like the kids who looked out of their rooms, but were send back inside.

The hall his filled with screams of the boys who beg for mercy, who beg for a second chance, who beg to stay together. The guards drag them outside to the wagons and put the inside. They close the doors of the wagons, trying to get used to the screaming and crying of the boys, and drive them away.

In the hospital they still stand still in silence, not daring to say a thing. After a while they go in the room of the boys and pack their things, to free the room. Everything is getting done in silence, can you blame them. The two just tried to commit double suicide, you can only be shocked and scared. But they are in a better place right? The people at the institute know what they are doing right? They know best, we hope they know best.

They drive the two boys in different institutes, so they won't see each other. They are across of town from each other.

-

At some point Shoto lost hope and didn't fight against the people who brought him there. He silently followed them through the building. They walk in a room and he sits down, on the opposite of the table a therapist sits down.

"So Todoroki, I think you know why you are here" Shoto doesn't answer "To let you know, you lost the right to decide of you being here or not, Fuyumi Todorki ha all the rights to decide about that" Shoto still looks down.

The therapist looks sorry at the younger boy. He just knows what a cruel place this is, he would never wish for anyone to be in this institute. They completely destroy your mind and when you walk out you are not the same person anymore.

"Listen Todoroki, I know you don't want to be here, but it's for the best and if you're lucky, you will be out in a couple of years. It would be nice, if you could answer my questions, then I will tell you your schedule and then I leave you alone, I think you need your time" Shoto looks up and nods.

The therapist asked him questions other therapists asked this boy a thousand times already.

-

Different from Shoto, Katsuki doesn't want to cam down. He kicks the walls of the wagon and screams until his lungs literally feel like bleeding. When they opened the wagon to let him out, Katsuki tried to run away. His energy lasted surprisingly long, in the condition he is. He soon passed out and the guards could easily bring him inside.

He soon woke up in a straitjacket, I told you it's a bad place. Because of the lack of energy, he didn't do anything, he just sat there and stared at his therapist. "Hello Bakugou, I will be your therapist. I will help you with your depression and anorexia and hopefully you will be out in a couple of years" the therapist just smiled while Katsuki just sat there emotionless.

-

In this night a lot of tears fell down, the screams of the boys were remembered and the most saddest, two hearts were broken.

All the lies the boys shared, all the problems they shared, all the worries, all the wishes, everything they told each other were only unnecessary words they once told.

All the little sweet lies they told each other to feel better, now just words of nonsense that no one would understand. All the problems they shared, only dark thoughts they have. All the worries they have are now building a big anxiety cloud. All the wishes they had, only words they once said out loud. Just words the world once heard.

The sun, the light, the love of the boys is now shut down. Noting is left except sadness, or maybe they felt too much that they started to feel nothing?

The boys died every night and woke up every morning, then they went through the day and fighting the demons who didn't let them sleep the last night. Every night they hoped that they will wake up in the hospital, next to each other. They hoped to see each other again, or the sun outside. Oh god how much they missed the sunlight, the sun they haven't seen in like forever. The happiness and hope disappeared like the sun.

They would really rather die, they didn't want to be apart from each other. All they had was each other, now they only have a withe room where they spend every day and every night.

You would probably say "What a luck, at least they are alive" but let me tell you, they already died inside and once you die inside, once your soul turned dark, you don't really live, you just exist. What a painful way of breathing.

And for how long will it continue you ask me? I don't know. It's not too long for the therapists, they are used to kids like them. But it is a eternity for the boys.

God how broken the boys are, it's painful to see. All the heartless people at the institute who claim that they only do it better only break them more apart. They break their heart apart, but slowly get rid of the mental disorders, slowly and painful. And believe me or not, they even did something to "fix" their sexuality. Only they are dumb enough to not know that thee is nothing to fix and that Katsuki and Shoto will never stop loving each other.

I promise their souls will meet again and they will fix each others hearts again. I promise you, they will learn again, they will learn to be happy, they will learn to know how it is to breathe with the will to live.

They won't die until they touch each other again, not until they know hoe to love again. Love without pain and sadness. The love you see in movies.

And about the others? About Nemuri, Mitsuki, Masaru, Fuyumi? They only feel sorry. It's almost disgusting that they only feel sorry. While Katsuki and Shoto suffer in some Institute, they only feel sorry. One thing actually turned out good, but it's irrelevant now. Dabi is no longer a part of the family. Nemuri told Fuyumi what happened between Dabi and Shoto and So Fuyumi kicked him out.

Remember when I told you about the "fix their sexuality" thing? Well on top of that, they are also transphobic. They are against the whole lgbt community, they think it's wrong, they think it damages people. And unfortunately for Katsuki, he suffers of dysphoria more than ever and the most would think, he will get used to it, well the world doesn't work like this.

They boys really live the worst right now, they really do. Even thought the recover from their mental illnesses, they still suffer. Nemuri was right, if you tear them apart they will break.

-

Every day Shoto counts his scars on his body and every day he discovers new once he hadn't count yesterday. And since he can't cut anymore, he found another way of self harm. Biting until he bleeds, choking himself until he gets purple and faints and of course beating himself so he will get bruises.

At this point he loves his scars, they stayed longer than the people in his life. But I need to add that he doesn't mean Katsuki, Katsuki is still in his heart.

-

From a he to a she. The people at the institute really don't respect that. Now the poor boy who almost reached his dream, became a girl to all the therapists. You don't want to know how much nights he spends crying over this. All the supportive people are now gone.

If he refused to be called a girl or didn't listen to the she/her pronounce, he would get beat up. I said it's a bad place to be.

The only thing or I better say thought that keeps him sane is the memory and love of Shoto.

-

I promise you, the love they are suppose to feel will come back. I promise you that Katsuki Bakugou and Shoto Todoroki will love like normal people with no worries.
