Jessie POV

The weather had begun to close in around us, fat droplets of rain were splattting on the windshield. The windiow wipers soon sprang into life and were wiping the droplets away. Soon the house was behind us and we carried on down the country road. The road was beginning to widen yet we passed no other cars. Mark and i weren't really in the mood for talking, Mark was concentrating on the road and i was staring out the window watching the raindrops trickle down the glass. I shook slightly in my seat as we went over a large bump

"Sorry about that." apologised Mark

"It's fine." i replied and continued to stare out the window deep in thought. 

I began to feel the slow

"Why are you slowing down?" i questioned

"It's this jeep, it's going ridiculously slowly." explained Mark. I heard  the ticking of the indicator and Mark overtook the car. I watched as we drove past the car but then my blood went cold.

It was Will. I looked away so he wouldn't recognise me

"M-mark, it's Will. Will is the driver in the Jeep, which only means Danny is in there too." i said.

"I'll pull over, hopefully he won't notice us." prayed Mark. Slowly he pulled into a hard shoulder and we both looked away from the direction Will was coming from.

"There has to be something in here that can help us see if Danny is in there." I mumbled to myself. I opened the glove boox and there was a little camera

"Hmm, what's this?" i whispered out loud. There was a button on the side of the camera, curiously i pressed it and the camera came to life. It was not your usual camera as everything was displayed as different colours, purples, blues, oranges and yellows. It was a thermo camera.

"Look what i've found, Mark. We will be able to see if it's just Danny in the back!"

"Don't you think we should call the police for backup? We don't know what Will has with him - he might be armed!" reasoned Mark

"Just follow that Jeep, i'll call for backup." i said. Mark began driving, we caught up with the Jeep quite quickly due to the speed it was going. I used the walkie talkie i found to call for back up. I switched the thermocam back on and it worked a treat. There was one person at the back of the car and it looked quite lke Danny. I obviously couldn't tll exactly as this was piece of technology was only met to deetermine temperature not facial features.

"I am pretty sure it is him but we need to try and keep undetected." i said to Mark. He nodded his head. Mark was trying to find the right button for something or other and then he clicked a button and it was the worst thing i wanted to hear.

The siren.

It bleared out loudly and there was no point switching it off as you could hear it for miles. The Jeep was then like a different creature, it sped forward sending puddles flying. Mark began to speed up, i felt relieved that we were in a Landrover, 4 wheel drive was very comforting in this shocking weather.

"We can't loose him!" shouted Mark, as he pressed his foot down harder on the accelerator. Trees rushed by in a blur, puddles splashed fiercly as we attempted to catch up with the Jeep. Will suddenly performed a handbrake turn and skidded left, driving down a narrow track. I held onto my seatbelt as Mark swerved and followed. There was a crack as part of the window smashed into the shape of a bullet hole. 3 more shots were fired but Mark kept driving, ducking as the sound of a BANG ripped through the air. The Landrover sped up a hill no problem, as we reached the crest of the hill it dropped sharply. We were launched into the air, it was like what you'd see rally car drivers perform. We landed with a jolt and i was propelled forward, fortunately my selt belt prevented me from going through the cracked windscreen. The car skidded in the mud and the car began to slip but Mark turned the wheel and the car drove straight again. The Jeep stormed through a ditch, the whole car now smothered with mud. The rain was falling even harder which made it hard to see what was going on a few feet infront. Will turned sharply right again and so did Mark but this time it wasn't enough. He lost complete control of the wheel and there was a screech as the car slided in the mud. Mark tried desperately to regain control but it was too late. The car sped off the road straight into the forest.

There was the sound of an almighty crash and then nothing...
