It was finally the last day of school, which meant summer break was just around the corner, literally.

It was a day that Beomgyu was looking forward to for nearly two months now, and not just because he was excited for school to end and not receive anymore homework, but because of the summer vacation trip he and his friends have been planning for weeks now.

It was all he was ever thinking about, spending time with his best friends and boyfriend at a summer vacation house for two weeks! They had all raised money and even got their parents to help with renting the place, and by the end of last month, their summer plans came true.

He has never been more excited for school to end than now.

After at least another forty minutes of a painfully boring and slow lecture about how they needed to be productive during the summer from Mr. Son, the bell had finally rung, causing all the students to cheer loudly knowing that it was official, school was finally over.

"Hyung." Taehyun called out for the elder the moment the bell rang, his stuff already packed as he walked over towards him. "Are you going to keep spacing out or get ready?"

"Oh!" Beomgyu was a little startled, unaware that he'd been daydreaming. "I'm sorry, I was daydreaming about our trip!"

"Well it'll come true if you get off of your ass."

Beomgyu smiled cheekily and stood up, grabbing his belongings and walked over towards the younger, gently placing a kiss on the males head who made it very obvious he didn't enjoy it, but Beomgyu knew deep down he did!

After a long struggle of trying to peel a clingy ass Beomgyu off of him, Taehyun finally managed to break free and slip away from the male after he was momentarily distracted by Yeonjun, allowing him to walk over to Huening Kai who stared at him with an amused smile.

"Why the hell are you looking at me like that?"

"You're burning red Taehyun! Stop being so grumpy, I know you love it when he smothers you in love!" Huening Kai teased, poking at the males cheek who hit him in anger.

Even though he would try to deny it, he knew there was no point. Deep down in Taehyun's heart he admired and enjoyed every little bit of attention Beomgyu gave him, especially after the showcase... the two of them began to grow closer than ever, their love blooming strong.

"So, here's the plan," Yeonjun suddenly appeared in front of them with Beomgyu and Soobin behind him. "Asshat over here is going to pack the snacks." He pointed at Huening Kai who seemed a bit offended by the name.

"That's a mean nickname!—"

"Then jackass right here is going to drive us," Yeonjun interrupted him, pointing behind himself towards Soobin who seemed confused by the name.

"Love—"

"Then tweedle dum and tweedle dee," Yeonjun interrupted Soobin, glancing between Taehyun and Beomgyu. "Can carry all the bags, does that seem fair?"

"What are you going to do, asshole?" Taehyun scoffed, crossing his arms in annoyance.

"Sleep, obviously!"

Right before both Taehyun and Yeonjun could bicker for the millionth time, Beomgyu coughed loudly just in time to stop the both of them. "I think we should all just pack and bring some things! Split it up, equally!"

Before Yeonjun could retaliate, the male paused and thought about it for a second, shrugging his shoulders. "I guess that's better, I liked my idea though."

Spending at least five minutes talking about their plan, they all came to an agreement on what to do, which finally allowed them to leave the classroom and get out of there before a teacher made them deep clean the entire school again. Not a fun time.

"Hey."

Beomgyu glanced over beside him and instantly smiled, seeing Taehyun slow his pace down from the others ahead of them, instantly getting the memo.

"Are you excited?" The male asked, his body becoming more at ease the moment they weren't around others. "It'll be our first trip together."

"I couldn't think of anything better, a beach house with my best friends and my boyfriend...?" Beomgyu couldn't help but chuckle softly, his heart lighting up with excitement.

Taehyun's ears flushed a shade of red after hearing that. "I'm excited to hang out with them too... more with you though."

"What do you think we should do there? There's a lot of summer activities, but I want to know what you want to do, my darling!" Beomgyu lit up saying the new nickname, which made Taehyun side eye him.

"Darling? The fuck? That's a lame ass name."

"But it's sweet, I don't care what you think!" Beomgyu grabbed the male and squeezed the living shit out of him, causing the younger to wheeze out a strained breath.

Taehyun gripped the males arms and gently pushed him away, huffing loudly in annoyance as he looked away. "You can be clingy later, can we at least get out of the school first?"

Beomgyu couldn't help but admire how adorable his boyfriend was. When he was embarrassed, gently rubbing his head, the elder stopped his annoying little teasing taunts and kept his hands to himself, allowing Taehyun to breathe.

"I don't know what activities I want to do..." Taehyun took a second to think about it, looking back on what the beach house had to offer when they were browsing it. Eventually, his eyes lit up slightly after a thought occurred. "I think I'd really like to see the fireworks go off, it's rare to see fireworks in the city sometimes... so I'd like to see that with you guys."

"Fireworks..." Beomgyu repeated, the thought of watching Taehyun's adorable face light up when those glittery explosions flash throughout the sky made him more excited than he should be. "I think that's a great idea! Especially on a summer night."

"What about you, hyung?" Taehyun asked him, intertwining their hands together which nearly made Beomgyu's heart burst. "What are you looking forward to?"

"I'm actually excited for everything!" Beomgyu said enthusiastically, stars literally shining in his eyes. "I'm looking forward to seeing what nice games they have on the console there, but I'm also excited to beat Yeonjun's ass in volleyball."

Taehyun snorted slightly and rolled his eyes, looking in front of him to see Yeonjun bickering with Soobin and Huening Kai over who's better at basketball, spoiler: it's not Yeonjun.

"But there's also something I'm excited for... more than anything..."

"And what's that?" Taehyun looked over at him, tilting his head. "What could be more exciting than beating Yeonjun's ass at volleyball?"

Beomgyu pressed his lips into a thin line and smiled cheekily, pausing in his steps as he gently cupped Taehyun's face, placing a warm kiss on the male's forehead.

"Spending the ending of springtime with you."

Beomgyu slammed his suitcase closed and zipped it up immediately, glancing over at the clock, his eyes lit up in excitement knowing that in just fifteen minutes Soobin and the others would be picking him up and they'll be on their way to the beach house!

The male lifted up his suitcase with a heavy grunt, fixing his outfit before he dragged it out of his room and practically struggled going downstairs with it. He doesn't even know how it got so heavy! All he's bringing is a bunch of clothes and water guns to shoot Yeonjun with!

After successfully dragging his suitcase down the stairs, the male huffed and glanced over at the clock and lit up knowing he had at least ten minutes to spare.

"Do you need extra money, flower?"

Beomgyu turned his head and looked over at his mother who seemed like she was about to head off to work, a warm smile washing over his face as he shook his head. "Don't worry, mother, I'm pretty sure we have enough money to last us the entire two weeks."

"Alright," She walked up to him, gently pressing a kiss onto his cheek. "Let me know if you need anything, make sure you don't get washed away by the waves."

"I won't, mother."

It was honestly a surprise when Beomgyu's mother was the first one out of their parents to agree to the trip, it shocked him and his whole friend group. But it was nice knowing that after so many years, he finally had the fresh air and experience of what freedom felt like. How it feels to not be held back by repressed thoughts and emotions that were dragging him down, worries and fears of failing everyone.

He felt so much more at ease.

but he knew he wouldn't be here now if it weren't for Taehyun to give him that push.

When his mother and Taehyun met, he had expected it to go all wrong, he had been hiding his relationship from her for a while... but he was definitely wrong. The minute they met, his mother had smothered Taehyun in the most shocking kindness he had ever seen.

It was safe to say that he was her favorite.

Beomgyu's phone began to vibrate rapidly, causing the male to flinch as he grabbed it and saw a whole fucking explosion of messages pop up on his phone, his eyes widening as Soobin was eight minutes early.

"Alright mother," Beomgyu said briefly, placing his phone back into his pocket as he looked at her. "I have to go now, I'll see you in two weeks."

"Have fun, my flower."

Beomgyu wrapped his arms around her and gave her a warm hug, pulling away after at least five seconds before grabbing his belongings and rushing out the door, his eyes lighting up seeing his best friends and boyfriend in the car waiting for him.

"Hyung!" Beomgyu greeted Yeonjun happily the moment he rolled down the window. "Where should I put my luggage?"

"In the trunk, where else dumbass?"

Beomgyu nodded his head excitedly and rushed to the back of the car, allowing Soobin to pop open the trunk so he could fit his stuff in it.

Right before he could put his suitcase in, the male froze after he saw how PACKED the trunk was. It was like if he added one more thing, it would pop open and drop everything!

"U-Uhm..."

"What is it, Gyu?" Soobin popped his head out of the window, looking over at the male who seemed dazed in confusion.

"I don't think there's any room in the trunk."

"That's nonsense!" Yeonjun scoffed, getting out of the car and walking towards him. "There's definitely room just— oh..."

The male paused after seeing that what Beomgyu said was correct, the trunk was indeed filled to the brim, humming softly as he glanced at Beomgyu's suitcase, his eyes lit up with an idea.

"Don't worry, we can make it fit!"

"You guys are ASSHOLES! You know that?!"

"We had no other choice, the car isn't big enough."

"We could've taken one of Taehyun's cars!"

"His parents said no."

Huening Kai groaned in frustration and leaned his head back into the seat, squeezing his legs against his chest in discomfort as he glared at the other two who seemed comfortable.

After figuring out what Yeonjun's bizarre plan was, it turned out that Huening Kai's leg space was used as a space for Beomgyu's suitcase, which made the younger frustrated as one: hes too tall for this and two: there's no fucking room!

So for the past hour and a half, he has been either squeezing his legs against his chest or placing it on both Beomgyu and Taehyun's thighs, both of which didn't bring comfort at all.

"I'm really sorry, Hyuka, we can switch spots when we take the next break." Beomgyu smiled apologetically, causing the younger to shake his head.

"It's okay hyung! I don't mind since it's you."

"Weren't you just complaining about it?!"

Huening Kai stuck his tongue out at Yeonjun, knowing the male could see him through the rear view mirror which made the elder grumble in annoyance.

Surprisingly, throughout the whole ride, it wasn't that bad! For Beomgyu, he got to sit next to his lovely boyfriend so it gave him the advantage to cuddle with him, which ended up with Taehyun wrapped around Beomgyu's arms and knocked out.

He was surprised how long the male could stay asleep for... he slept through all five of Yeonjun and Huening Kai's fights and Soobin's loud ass metal music that blasted once in a while in the playlist they all made together so they didn't have to argue about who had the aux or not.

Beomgyu breathed through his nose softly, squishing his cheek against Taehyun's head, being careful not to awaken the male who was deep in slumber. "Hyung, how long until we get there?"

"Just about one more hour and a half, the next stop will be in thirty minutes then that's the last one we'll take." Soobin said, glancing at the gps in front of him before focusing his eyes on the road.

"So before we get there, we're going to sort rooms out." Yeonjun spoke up, peeling an apple before throwing it towards Huening Kai who was grateful. "There's three rooms, two on the second floor and one on the bottom."

"Me and Soobin will share a room," Yeonjun stated the obvious, glancing over at Beomgyu and holding up an apple, offering it. "You and Taehyun can share the other room."

"I don't mind," Beomgyu smiled, grabbing the apple from the elder and bit into it, humming in delight from the sweetness. "As long as I get to sleep with Taehyun!"

"So I get a room to myself...?" Huening Kai pouted slightly.

"I heard it was the biggest room in the beach house..." Soobin said nonchalantly, knowing that would lighten up the male's mood. "So you basically get the master bedroom!"

That definitely worked in Soobin's favor, it made Huening Kai light up instantly that the male didn't even bother complaining about being alone for the next thirty minutes.

In those thirty minutes, Soobin had finally pulled into the next rest stop, which allowed all of them to stretch their legs out with Beomgyu waking up Taehyun the moment they arrived.

"I really don't know how you manage to sleep through all of that, Tyun." Beomgyu chuckled softly, handing the male a bag of sweets after getting it from the nearby vending machine.

"Being a sleep deprived high school student in sleep debt helps a lot." Taehyun shrugged his shoulders, leaning onto Beomgyu as he was still tired.

The two of them stood there in silence, leaning onto each other until after at least five minutes, Soobin had come to get them, telling them that they'll be on the road again soon.

"You want to switch spots with Huening Kai? I feel bad for him, he's all squished with my suitcase." Beomgyu asked the male who grunted in annoyance.

"He can survive for one more hour." Taehyun wrapped his arms around Beomgyu and held him close, closing his eyes as he relaxed in his hold.

"Let's just do it, I feel bad, we can always cuddle more at the beach house."

Even though Taehyun wanted to protest against it, he felt bad for his best friend, so he agreed.

Soon enough, the five of them were on the road again. This time, it was Yeonjun driving to give Soobin a break as both Huening Kai and Beomgyu switched places, which allowed the younger to finally relax and stretch out his legs.

In just a blink of an eye, they finally arrived at the beach house, causing all five of them to cheer in excitement and astonishment from seeing how beautiful and big it was in person.

"How much did this cost?!"

"That doesn't matter, get your shit and go inside so we can eat!"

Beomgyu decided that he wanted to be a gentleman! So he grabbed both his and Taehyun's belongings, ignoring how the younger wanted to hold his own things as he walked into the house, his breath immediately being taken away when he saw how gorgeous the interior was.

"Alright, let's go unpack and we can do whatever we want, you really need to sleep." Yeonjun walked over towards Soobin, gently placing his hand onto the blonde cheek who melted in his touch.

"I'm fine."

Yeonjun frowned as he stared at the obvious eye bags underneath the male's eyes, shaking his head as he dragged him upstairs to where he assumed the bedrooms were to help unpack, leaving behind the three chaotic crazies.

"Oh my god! Beomgyu hyung! Look at the size of this TV!" Huening Kai began to geek out, staring at the largest fucking TV he had seen in his life. "Can you imagine the quality of mario kart if we played on this?!"

"That's why I had Soobin bring his mario kart games, you're definitely getting your ass beat." Beomgyu snickered, watching Huening Kai scoff before running off towards his room, his scream of excitement echoing out when he saw how big it was.

It took a while, but all five of them finally unpacked their things and got to relax in the luxurious living room, all of them sinking into the couch as they watched some random movie that Yeonjun chose, most of them not paying attention to what the hell was happening.

"Tomorrow we can go down to this town that apparently has the best breakfast meals." Soobin said, staring at his phone to check for the best spots to eat at.

"I want to go swimming tomorrow! It feels so warm and nice outside, I'm excited!"

"I want to build a sand castle," Yeonjun muttered under his breath. "Only reason I like the beach."

"What are you, five?" Taehyun snickered, causing Yeonjun to smack his head which made the male yelp.

Beomgyu swiftly got up from the couch and away from the others when they were distracted, slipping out to the back where the beach view was, breathing in the salty air of the ocean as he walked towards the end of the balcony staring out into the sea.

He honestly couldn't believe it, it all felt so unreal.

For the next two weeks, he's going to spend time with the ones he loved the most, an endless youthful adventure of fun for the next few days.

It felt so unreal.

"Why did you slip away and leave me with that cranky old maniac?"

Beomgyu looked over his shoulder, his eyes lighting up seeing Taehyun walk towards him, even in the dim lights the male still looked so precious. "I wanted to see what the beach looked like at night time, it feels warm too."

Taehyun took a minute to feel the fresh breeze, pouring his lips as he agreed with what Beomgyu had said.

The two of them stood next to each other in silence, listening to the faint sound of the waves crashing onto the shore, the faint sound of the wind dancing through the sky. Neither of the two bothered to speak up, they had no reason to, even without words being said... the two of them were at peace.

It wasn't until Taehyun gently leaned his head against Beomgyu's shoulder, allowing the elder to wrap an arm around his waist as he pulled him closer.

"How do you feel about all of this?"

"About what?"

"The beach house, vacation, Yeonjun's constant talking."

Beomgyu snorted after hearing the last one, thinking about it for a few seconds. "I'm excited, you know? It's my first time being on vacation with my friends. Yeonjun may be the way he is but he honestly does care for all of us, your personalities clash together well."

Taehyun groaned in disgust at what the male said, but he couldn't help agreeing, even though he found Yeonjun annoying at times the two of them had their moments where their minds were linked.

"I'm excited being here with you, after winning that showcase, I wanted nothing more than to find an escape with you." Taehyun glanced up at Beomgyu, the two of them staring into each other's eyes.

"Anywhere with you, I'm happy."

Beomgyu smiled softly, leaning forward as he placed his forehead against Taehyun, the two of them closing their eyes. Nothing but comfort and warmth swirled around them, wrapping them into an invisible blanket that they couldn't pull away.

It was perfect.

"I promise," Beomgyu whispered underneath his breath, bringing a hand up to caress the side of Taehyun's face. "I'll make this the best two weeks of your life."

Taehyun smiled softly and opened his eyes, admiring his lover's beautiful face.

"I'll be looking forward to it."
