One Year Later

"Channie can we get ice cream?" Felix asked cutely.

"I can't resist you, did you know that?"

"Of course, no one can resist me!"

"But to answer your question, yes we can get ice cream."

"Yay! Thank you Channie."

"Of course Lixie."

"Lixie? You've never called me that."

"Do you like it? I just thought of it now."

"Yeah, Channie and Lixie walking down the street, going to get some yummy ice cream."

"Oh my, this is why I love you."

"I love you too."

Felix snuggled into Chan as they walked towards the ice cream parlor. Chan snaked his arm around Felix's waist as the strolled down the side walk. It was obvious that they were happy together.

But of course, there were some homophobic people in this world that mutter mean things and stare at the couple. Chan tried to make sure Felix didn't notice, so he glared at each person that stared. Unfortunately, Felix did notice and he wanted to ask Chan about it.

"Channie, why do people stare and whisper to each other when we are walking like this? Are they homophobic? Will they hurt me or you?"

"Lixie, I promise you that nothing will happen to us. Just ignore the people that stare. They are probably jealous of the love that we openly show for each other."

"Okay!"

The two made it to the ice cream shop and got their ice cream. Then Chan got up to pay for both of their ice creams, but Felix grabbed his arm, stopping him.

"I'll pay, I'm the one who asked." He said ushering Chan to his seat.

"No, I won't let you."

"It's no use fighting with you isn't it?"

"Mhm, so sit down and let me pay."

"Fine." He pouted, sitting back down.

The cashier chuckled as Chan went to pay.

"You guys are like a married couple. It's really cute though."

"Thanks, uh, Byeongkwan." Chan said while reading his name tag.

"Of course, I hope you share happy moments together."

"Thank you." Chan said while handing him the money.

"You're welcome, enjoy the rest of your day."

Chan and Felix left the parlor, taking their ice cream with them. They both ate it quickly so they could continue talking to each other.

"Can we go to the park?" Chan asked.

"Sure."

The two sat on the same swing set they were supposed to meet at.

"Lixie, why were you so late on the day we met?"

Felix proceeded to explain the entire story to Chan, making him burst into laughter.

"Why could Changbin just get his own ingredients?"

"That's what I asked!" Felix exclaimed.

"But glad that we met anyway, even if it wasn't the way we desired." Felix added.

"Lixie, just know that I will always love you okay? I'm so glad we met. My life before you came into it was so dark. I thought I was worthless, just an accident in this world. But you made me feel special, like I belonged somewhere. And I do. I belong with you. I love you Lixie, a lot more that you could imagine."

"Channie." Felix said, a tear slipping from his eye, "I love you too."

"Don't cry cutie, I love y-."

"Then kiss me."

"Your wish is my command cutie."

It was like a magnetic force brought their lips together. Then fit perfectly like a puzzle piece. Chan loved the feeling of Felix's warm, soft lips on his. He pulled him closer, not caring if anyone was staring at them. Right now, he only cared about the beautiful boy in front of him.

In the park under the sky was when Chan found the real meaning of love.

A real desire of someone. Your reason of living.

Felix was definitely his reason.
