~CHAPTER SIX

Cabir was standing outside, waiting for Nandini,while she went to collect her stuff.

She and Aliya came out together..and she saw Nandini moving towards a guy..she understood he might be a cabir..

Alia saw Cabir,she gasped; tall, handsome he was and looked at that car next to him. He must be very rich. Nandini is so lucky. She was gushing over what her senses were registering.

Ironically she was unable to see what lies beyond the visible.
She held Nandini's hand and bid farewell.

She winked at her before leaving

"Nice item you got there."

Before Nandini could say anything, Alia went away.

Meanwhile,after settling in the car, there was an awkward silence.

Nandini was thinking about Alia.a nd was looking tired and dried out..and lost in something..

Cabir looked at her worriedly. He cleared his throat to get her attention.

Nandini turned her head.
Cabir began worriedly:

"Are you okay Nandini?"

"Yeah ...kind of." Nandini sighed.

"How was your day at work?" Cabir asked

"Usual but really draining." Nandini sighed

"Is that so ...?" He turned his eyes towards the road. "The conversation is fine but I have to keep my eyes on the road as well."He said

".....mmm yeah......I told you about the case that I got, of that angry psycho man.

It is such a problem to deal with these days and you know the girl I was with..." Nandini stared at him

"Who.....I never noticed?" Cabir said thinking

".....aish silly the one who stepped out with me." Nandini laughed.

"Oh yeah ...that one what's she has to do with the situation," Cabir asked while turning the car.

"That girl is actually the fiancé of that guy.....poor thing.......he does not like her,"

Nandini remembered the face of heavily crying Alia.

She was sad for her. ".....and that poor girl has been chasing that boy forever."

"So sad," Cabir said

"Just so sad....." Nandini eyes widened

"Yes, what more can I say?" They stopped in front of Nandini's home. Cabir smiled.

"This system has to change Cabir. It is such a pain that parents teach girls to chase after boys like this, this is worse than prostitution. Parents should teach girls to be fabulous. They should encourage them to be themselves and live their lives to the fullest rather than participating in such a fool's play." Nandini said in a flow.

{Whatever happened.. whatever she was going through..Her thoughts about the things she believes never changed..she just didn't voice it out now....Nandini never liked the problems that a girl has to suffer from..just because of society.. this was a point.. where Nandini would never tolerate anyone doing wrong.. She was always ready to correct people for this..and keep her point over this.. she could never keep silence on this..but with time it changed hanged..thinking was right..but making people is waste..was what she believed now..}

"Well that the feminist speaking inside you.....don't you think we should talk about us." Cabir leaned in to kiss her..but before he could do anything Nandini picked up her bag and got off.

"This is the difference between us Cabir. Our wavelengths don't match."
With this Nandini banged the door and ran inside.

Some things need to be addressed. Just because they are going on for long doesn't mean that they are right.

The worst kind of crime which is done against humanity is when we know what's right and don't say it. We tend to ignore the right thing just to get accepted by others or fit into useless moulds of society. Is it right to not say the truth just because someone doesn't want to hear? Where are you standing morally? Think about it.

With Nandini..the thing was..she would listen to what people..about their useless thinking..and the things that they think are right...but she never supported them..and if she was asked to.. then also.. She would never keep quiet.. She would always say what was in her mind..and what is right according to her..and what is wrong..but do people listen..NO..they just rey shutting up and proving us wrong..

Every day comes with a fight. Every day starts with a new challenge. Every time the Sun rises it's a wakeup call for all those invisible warriors out there.

Nandini sometimes want to fight Sun, "stupid thing just because of you I have to get out from my bed and pretend everything is fine."She used to say to the sun..

She always believed smiling the widest and dressing up the brightest makes everything right.

Sadly now dark nights were her best friends. Every night she used to cry her eyes out but still pain never ceased. It was a never ending series. She was not someone who showed her vulnerability easily. There was a time when she expressed herself
freely but now she kept her pain to herself; because people around her never understood. It happened a lot of times she shared only to be snubbed as an attention seeker, a cry baby or ungrateful brat.

After it she stopped and put that
usual expressive self of her in one corner. She silently took on all the
responsibilities.

After the sad demise of her mom she was the nurturer, caretaker and administrator of the house. She used to take care of her siblings and retired ill dad. She was also the sole bread earner of the family.
While enduring the long hour pain of work and then dealing with household, personal relationships; she lost herself.

She shunned her existence so much that now her opinions and needs were invisible to everyone.Nor she wished for it anymore

Now she was like a clown whose job was to look out for the happiness of people connected to her. Although she was in pain, she always pulled herself to sleep with an alibi that everyone was happy about. Little did she know that such selflessness is lethal. She was being kind beyond stupidity. Now she lost herself. The society in which we are living needs to learn that only women are not nurturers. Look around in your home how often it happens that your mom or anyone else is doing something like Nandini while you guys are sitting on the receiving end enjoying it.
