Sasukes POV

Sakura and I were in our bedroom packing up. We really didnt need to pack up supplies but we did. Just Incase we were out for longer. We packed in silence but all was broken when Sakura spoke up

“You know we didnt even ask Ino what the herb looks like.”

“Hn.” = Yeah I know

“I need to get something so could you ask her?”

I nodded

“Hn” = Yeah sure okay

I got up and went down to go see Ino, she was in the kitchen making the other ingredients for chojis bad stomach ache. Choji was laying down on the couch with a wet towel on his head. It must hurt pretty bad.

“Hey Ino, Sakura was wondering what the herb looked like before we set out to search”.

Ino passed me a piece of paper....wait no, It was a Picture of a greenish herb that kinda sparkled.

“These things are all over Konoha, Yet everyday people pass them by without even noticing them. Its kinda sad to be honest.” Ino said

“However” she continued “I dont know if there around here so please be aware of your surroundings. And...Hurry, For Chojis sake.”

I looked over at Choji. He was in pain. I nodded and went back to Our room and passed Sakura the picture of the herb.

“Oh, Ive seen these around before. I think I saw one not to far from here. Are you ready?”

“Yeah”

Sakura looked at me... surprised.

“You didn't say Hn....” Then she smiled  she muttered to herself something but I couldn't hear it. I decided to let it slide.

Sakuras POV

“You didnt say hn....” I smiled

‘Dont ruin the moment!'

“What did you say?” He asked

“Nothing! Lets be on our way shall we?” I responded quickly. I walked down the hall to see the whole gang. Everyone but Ino wished us good luck. Ino just yelled at us to hurry up.

As me and Sasuke scrambled out the door we decided to head west from the house. It was silent, but Its always silent when you're hanging around with Sasuke. But surprisingly he broke the silence

“You seem... Distractive lately”

“What do you mean?” I asked Innocently. Crap...What if he finds out?! Does the sharingan read minds?! (A\N I know the sharingan doesn't read minds but remember were in sakuras head lol) Oh god please dont read my mind!!

“I mean Ive noticed some things different about you I guess, Not that its important”

“Dont worry I wont mess anything up I promise”

“No its not about that” He said. I turned to him and stopped.

“What do you mean then?”

Sasukes POV

“No its not that” I said. She turned to me and stopped walking

“What do you mean then?”

‘I mean I care about you’ is what I wanted to say. She wants an awnser and she need it ASAP. Great...No time for thinking about my awnser. I can slowly feel a blush creep on my face.

“I care for you, As a teammate of course.” I said while rubbing the back of my neck.

As a teammate?! God damn it.

She frowned

“Oh alright then.” she sounded disappointed though...

Sakuras POV

As a teammate? Great. So much for trying to get close...

We continued our way west until I saw something shimmer in the distance. I got a better look at it. It was the fern!

“Sasuke” I tapped his shoulder. He looked straight at me with his beautiful ebony eyes and his perfect skin...Wait Im getting sidetracked

I pointed​ at the fern “Look its the fern” We walked over to get it until I noticed something odd.....The fern was guarded by a rattlesnake. Better yet...It was a trap. I stopped but Strangely Sasuke was still moving.

“Sasuke, Stop” He didnt listen. He kept moving.

The rattlesnake didnt even rattle like it does when theres danger, Sasuke still approached...But I heard something suspicious. Then I saw it. There was 3 canons that were about to shot out kunais. It was a trap... We were lured into a trap. I didnt even notice my body moved until I felt something warm come down my back.

I jumped in front of Sasuke to protect him. And the worse part was that the rattlesnake bit me, I could feel the venom in my arm. I could always feel the Pain in my back as there were 3 kunais sticking out of my back...And worse of all...I could also feel Sasukes scared look right at me.

“Are you....okay?” I managed to say.

Sasukes POV

Why?! How come I couldn't sense the rattlesnake or the kunai trap yet Sakura did?! I couldn't begin to comprehend what was going on. So many thoughts in my head.

“Sakura lets get you back”. Too late. She fell right into my arms. This was bad. She was in need of Immediate medical attention. I needed to get her back. I picked the fern so her injuries weren't for nothing. And Quickly picked het up bridal style and jumped tree to tree just to get het back.

I couldn't lose her.
