goodbye nannie;
Nannie,
You were always funny, sleepy and kind,
Never afraid to speak your mind.
Watching British murder-mystery shows were how your passed your time,
Or reading a good book would suit your fine.
You always felt the cold even when the sun shined at its peak,
"I'm just resting my eyes" you'd speak.
You hated when we took pictures of you,
Yet a big smile grew.
I'll remember the time you hollowed out that sausage or confessed to liking the lumps in your milk,
And how your hair always felt as soft as silk.
Now it's time to sadly say goodbye,
But I know you will always be watching from above the sky.
Love, Lorna
