Chapter Seven, Gathering Allies

"Will you hurry up Edward!" Jasper shouted up the stairs as he, Alice and Rosalie were waiting to leave for Volterra. Edward walked down the stairs with Bella both of them carrying bags. "No she is not coming!" Jasper hissed fed up of people ignoring him, did they forget he could feel emotions?
"Why she is my mate?" Edward asked a nasty smirk on his face. At that Rosalie and Jasper had enough. "Oh pull the other one Edward! She is not your mate she is only your blood singer nothing more! You need to leave the human here otherwise we all die! Because of you we're all under a death sentence! I warned you this would happen!" Rosalie ranted.
"Well that's not happening where Edward goes I go!" Bella shouted. Jasper and Rosalie looked to Alice but she ignored them hugging Bella. Giving up Jasper and Rosalie took off leaving the three behind after grabbing their bags and texting Carlisle and Emmett about the three as they boarded the private jet the Volturi has sent to pick them up.

Once they boarded the plane and explained the situation to Jane and Alec enraging the twins the plane took off leaving the other three behind while Jasper called Peter and Charlotte telling them the situation and asking them to get to Volterra as fast as they could. As they flew further away from Washington and closer to Italy Alice's secret power of manipulation; making those she wish see how she wants them to see her, broke on Jasper. As they landed in Italy realised that Alice was not his mate and had controlled him the same way Maria had but worse. He realised his mate was in fact Rosalie. "Rose I'm so sorry. Alice's secret power of manipulation broke. It felt like I was waking up for the first time the further we got from Washington." Jasper apologised looking deep into her honey eyes gripping her hand as he begged her to believe him.

"It's okay Jasper age controlled me too. Making me think I would never have a mate. I can't believe how our family has been torn apart by three selfish people." Rosalie assured as she kissed his cheek. Alec and Jane were watching very amused and very intrigued from behind the pair. They thought it was very comical that they didn't notice what was right under their noses the whole time choosing to believe the lies sprouted by a human and a vampire who was infatuated by his blood singer and by a vampire who thrives on controlling everything around her either by her visions or her new power or rather hidden power, they were sure Aro would find this very interesting indeed. "Come Aro is waiting." Jane said to the two as she and Alec led the way to the Volterra.

As they entered the Volterra being checked over by Felix and Aro's and Caius' wives they were finally allowed entrance after Jane and Alec following them to the Throne room where everyone was stood waiting it seemed they were the last to arrive. "Where are Alice and Edward?" Aro asked looking from two of the Cullen members to his witch twins. "They refused to come Master. They refused to leave the human so these two left without them. The further they got away from Washington it seems that Alice has a secret power of manipulation and controlled them to think that Jasper was her mate and Rosalie wouldn't have a mate. They found out on the plane they are in actual fact mates." Jane informed Aro and also the room at large.

Carlisle and Esme stood frozen in shock and horror wondering how they could have gone so wrong and how they didn't realise. Aro beckoned his hand for Jane and then for Jasper and Rosalie once he had released Jane's hand. "Well that is a shame they could have been of great use in the fight to come. But no matter. We shall deal with them afterwards and they will die. No Carlisle, I told you if your Coven didn't arrive then you would die. You, your wife and these two may survive depending if you succeed in protecting my niece. For Edward and Alice however, they refused and so they will die. Felix have you heard from Demetri if he has found the traitor or not?" Aro asked dismissing his old friend for now.

"Yes my Lord." Felix answered as he stepped forwards. "He has captured the traitor. He wasn't even hiding thinking we would not know. Demetri has found a great deal of Dumbledore's plans and us torturing the traitor as we speak." Felix told him as he put his hand in Aro's letting him know of the plans and nobody else to avoid anyone else betraying them if they turned coward, his eyes drifting to Amun who loved nothing more than protecting his own skin. "Very well, thank you Felix. You have been of great help. You may yet redeem yourself but note this; make light of my niece's situation again and you will not be saved no matter how good a fighter you are."  Aro said sternly his eyes slowly turning black as a warning. Felix nodded his head in understanding looking to the chair besides Marcus, where Sirius usually sat to see it was vacant.

"He is with Ardelle." Aro asnwered his thoughts before he released his hand turning to all those gathered. "You are here to help us fight a grave threat. The threat is to my nice a sweet sixteen year old girl, a witch. The threat is not all with vampires. It is with wizards who want to kill my niece for the power she wields and because she did not want to be a pawn in a war that has already claimed the life of her birth family when she was a babe. There is likely to be two lots of wizards and witches who want to kill us to get to her. Your job is quite simple; kill them and protect my niece. Fail to do so and you will be tortured until insanity and then death!" Aro told them as he paced back and forth in front of them. Everyone shifted nervously as they looked at the three of the now four Kings. They were all wondering who was this girl that was so important to this girl that could produce love in their eyes and not the greed of power they had all known to sine bright in their eyes but especially Aro's eyes.
