First day at school
[Y/N] *Ring Ring Ring*I turn to turn off my alarm clock when I notice that I only had thirty minutes to get to school. I rush to get dressed for my first day at school. I fly down the stairs, quickly snag a breakfast burrito, hug both of my parents, and run to school. As soon as I burst into the office, I see a neko boy standing by the door, his brown tail waving back and forth. "Oh you must be the new girl. The name is Evan Hansen, and I will be your guide to this place." I pull out my schedule, and he gives me a smile. I head over to my first class, and get tripped by this shapeshifter who just chuckles at my "clumsiness ". Sniffling softly, I put my head in my arms, wanting the day to end.
(time skip to after school)
[Y/N] I run to the abandoned auditorium, and start to sing.
(Bold-singing)
I've learned to slam on the brake
Before I even turn the key
Before I make the mistake
Before I lead with the worst of me
Give them no reason to stare
No slipping up if you slip away
So I got nothing to share
No, I got nothing to say
Step out, step out of the sun
If you keep getting burned
Step out, step out of the sun
Because you've learned, because you've learned
On the outside, always looking in
Will I ever be more than I've always been?
'Cause I'm tap, tap, tapping on the glass
I'm waving through a window
I try to speak, but nobody can hear
So I wait around for an answer to appear
While I'm watch, watch, watching people pass
I'm waving through a window, oh
Can anybody see, is anybody waving back at me?
We start with stars in our eyes
We start believing that we belong
But every sun doesn't rise
And no one tells you where you went wrong
Step out, step out of the sun
If you keep getting burned
Step out, step out of the sun
Because you've learned, because you've learned
On the outside, always looking in
Will I ever be more than I've always been?
'Cause I'm tap, tap, tapping on the glass
Waving through a window
I try to speak, but nobody can hear
So I wait around for an answer to appear
While I'm watch, watch, watching people pass
Waving through a window, oh
Can anybody see, is anybody waving?
When you're falling in a forest and there's nobody around
Do you ever really crash, or even make a sound?
When you're falling in a forest and there's nobody around
Do you ever really crash, or even make a sound?
When you're falling in a forest and there's nobody around
Do you ever really crash, or even make a sound?
When you're falling in a forest and there's nobody around
Do you ever really crash, or even make a sound?
Did I even make a sound?
Did I even make a sound?
It's like I never made a sound
Will I ever make a sound?
On the outside, always looking in
Will I ever be more than I've always been?
'Cause I'm tap, tap, tapping on the glass
Waving through a window
I try to speak, but nobody can hear
So I wait around for an answer to appear
While I'm watch, watch, watching people pass
Waving through a window, oh
Can anybody see, is anybody waving back at me? (oh)
Is anybody waving?
Waving, waving, whoa-oh, whoa-oh
[Normal Y/N] I hear sniffles so I look to see Evan Hansen trying not to cry. I jump off the stage, and give him a hug.
[Evan] As I start to walk out to go back home, my ears perk up, as I hear someone singing. I turn to follow the source of the music. When I reach the auditorium, I debate whether or not to go inside, when I hear the mysterious voice belt out:
When you're falling in a forest and there's nobody around
Do you ever really crash, or even make a sound?
When you're falling in a forest and there's nobody around
Do you ever really crash, or even make a sound?
When you're falling in a forest and there's nobody around
Do you ever really crash, or even make a sound?
When you're falling in a forest and there's nobody around
Do you ever really crash, or even make a sound?
Did I even make a sound?
Did I even make a sound?
It's like I never made a sound
Will I ever make a sound?
[Still Evan] I walk in to see the new girl, her (e/c) eyes glistening with tears, as she continues to sing.
On the outside, always looking in
Will I ever be more than I've always been?
'Cause I'm tap, tap, tapping on the glass
Waving through a window
I try to speak, but nobody can hear
So I wait around for an answer to appear
While I'm watch, watch, watching people pass
Waving through a window, oh
Can anybody see, is anybody waving back at me? (oh)
Is anybody waving?
Waving, waving, whoa-oh, whoa-oh
[Evan] When she finishes, I have tears streaming down my face, and I see her vault off the stage. I tilt my head curious as to why she vaulted off the stage when I feel her wrap her arms around me in a tight squeeze. As soon as she lets go I ask her," Is that how you really feel about yourself? Do you really think that no one can see or hear you through the window?" My eyes widen when she nods her head slowly. "Hey hey, it's alright. How about you hang out with my friends and I, sound good?" She mumbles a yes. We both walk out of the auditorium, and right before she turns to leave, she puts her number in my phone. I look at down at my phone to see ♦️4ever next to her number. I chuckle softly getting the Homestuck reference, and head home.
[Y/N] After I give Evan my number, I run home. When I get through the door, both of my parents ask how school went, and I told them that even though it kind of sucked at first, that I managed to make a friend out of the whole ordeal. To celebrate they made me (fave dinner), and we all toasted to my successful first day at school. Later that night, I plop onto my bed, hoping that tomorrow went better for me.
