Court begins and Poppy realizes her feelings for Branch

Once inside Poppy and Hickory were in the hallway waiting to go to the room. They saw the judge show up and went in and they saw two police officers escorting Marco in who looked at Poppy and winked.

Once Poppy and Hickory went into the courtroom and he took a seat in the back as Poppy went in and over to Laguna who shook her hand and she looked over to see Creek with Marco. 'I hope this works.' She thought.

''Morning Poppy how did you sleep?'' Asked Laguna.

''Alright, I guess.'' She said.

''Ok, so we know where we stand, I got your message yesterday afternoon and I have the proof to get Marco locked away but as for Creek that's gonna be hard.'' Laguna said.

''My friend Delta is looking over the security cameras.'' Poppy said.

''I hope she hurries.'' Laguna said.

Poppy saw Hickory leave while on the phone.

The judge sat at her table and looked at them. ''Ok court is in session. The case is Sunset vs. Poppy Bell.'' The judge said.

''Yes, your honor we are pressing charges because Sunset here tried to rape my client.'' Laguna said.

The judge looked at Creek. ''Alright how do you plead Mr. Sunset?'' She asked.

''Not guilty your honor.'' Creek said standing tall.

''Your honor, the defendant here has a history of raping woman and was in a jailhouse serving time for this, and we require the ultimate sentence.'' Laguna said firmly.

''I object. Your client Ms. Bell here had been warned several times that Mr. Sunset was a danger and it was required by sheriff to have Sunset cuffed hand and feet and she choose to ignore this warning.'' Creek said.

Poppy glared at Creek. Suddenly Hickory came in and over to Laguna and whispered something. ''Your honor we like to add the charge of attempted murder and tampering on the life and case of Branch Timber.'' Laguna said.

''Objection! No, there was nothing in the charges about that.'' Creek growled.

''Both of you up here.'' The judge said as they went over.

''Ms. Tidepool, I don't like surprises.'' The judge said.

''I'm aware but I just came upon evidence that Sunet had this all planned out. I have a tape here of what happened and that Creek here was a involved in this scheme.'' She said.

''This is the first I'm hearing of this.'' Creek said.

''I'll allow. Normally I'm against this but having a already convicted inmate I'm not taking any chances show the video.'' The judge said.

Poppy looked over and saw Sunset gulp and Creek turned pale.

The video recording started of Creek and Sunset in the visiting room.

'I told you to control yourself.' Creek said.

'I can't help it, besides you have to pull though for me, after all I can take you down with me.' Sunset said.

'I have to be careful I paid a pretty price to keep Timber's lawyer quiet Marco you know that.' Creek's voice said.

'I'm Sunset, be careful someone could be listening.' Sunset said.

They all looked at him. ''Also you're honor we have video evidence of Sunset beating up inmate Branch Timber.'' Laguna said.

Objection! She got this without permission.'' Creek said.

''No, actually I got a signed waiver from the sheriff giving me access to it.'' Laguna said.

The video played and they watched Branch getting beat up by Sunset.

'You'll never get away with this Marco.' Branch said.

'I already have, same as I killed your grandma and now you can join her and Poppy will be all mine.' Sunset said.

The video ended and the judge glared at both Creek and Sunset.

''What is this all about Marco?'' The judge asked.

''Exhibit C, call logs of calls made on the day of Rosiepuff Timber's death, you'll see a call between Creek and Marco at the time.'' Laguna said.

''Sunset, I find you guilty in the attempted rape of Poppy Bell, and attempted murder on Branch Timber, if he dies I'll change it to murder and you will be placed in a prison for life with no chance of parole and we will open an investigation on this Marco character no bail set.'' The judge said seeing enough.

The officer arrested Marco then the judge looked at Creek.

''You Mr. Peacemaker will be taken before the justice court and will see what they say as of now you are relieved of duty.'' The judge said banging her gavel.

Once it was over Poppy shook hands with Laguna while Hickory and Delta came over. ''You did it!'' Delta cheered.

''Yeah, I did.'' Poppy smiled and hugged Delta. ''Now excuse me I have to go to the hospital.''

Hickory drove Poppy to the hospital, and she went into the room to see Trollex still here.

''Hey.'' Poppy said.

''Hey Poppy, how did it go?'' Asked Trollex who hugged her.

''Alright Sunset is in jail and has another case in a week about being Marco.'' She said.

''Thats good, still nothing.'' The techno troll said.

''Why don't you get something to eat.'' Poppy said.

''It's still morning.'' Trollex said.

''Actually its 5 pm.'' She said.

He was shocked. ''Yeah then I will call me if you need anything.'' Trollex said as he left.

Poppy sat next to Branch and looked at him as he slept. ''Oh Branch.'' She sighed.

She took his hand and looked at his fingers and his face, he looked peaceful and she sighed. ''It's my fault. If not for me you would never be here.'' She said with tears in her eyes.

She sat back watching him sleep, she was scared and dropped everything when she heard he was in the hospital and now all she could do is watch him. She had been struggling with if she loved Branch or loved the idea of Branch but seeing how relieved she was that Sunset was gonna be locked up forever and Creek in trouble she felt great! A big victory and she came here right afterwards, she always went out of her way to help others and she wanted to free Branch and was sure he would be free but where would that leave them? Did she even want to be tied down with a guy? These ideas went in her head.

A short time later she woke up to hear beeping and saw the monitor going off and nurses and doctors came in. ''What's going on?'' Asked Poppy worried.

''Ms. you have to wait out here.'' A nurse said shutting the door as they worked on Branch.

''NO BRANCH! COME BACK PLEASE!'' She shouted crying and screaming and fell down. 'No! I can't lose him, I just set him free and I love him.'' She realized she did want to be with him.

Later she was able to go back in. ''What happened?''

''He was in shock but he should be fine now.'' The nurse said.

Poppy sat next to him. ''You scared me Branch, please wake up. We have so much to do together.'' She said holding his hand.

Branch moaned and slowly opened his eyes to hear a beeping monitor and he slowly saw he was in a hospital and looked over to see Poppy with her head on the bed sleeping.

'She's here.' He moved his hand on top of her head.

She stirred and saw he was awake. 'BRANCH!' She hugged him as he hugged her.

''Oh Poppy, I missed you.'' He said holding her close.

''I missed you too.'' She smiles and leaned in kissing him.

Branch kisses back passionately pulling on the bed and wrapped his arms around her as they continued making out.

''Poppy, I love you. It was the thought of you that kept me alive, you were the last troll I was thinking off before I passed out.'' He cupped her face.

''I was so worried about you.'' She rested her head on his chest.

''I'm sorry.'' He kisses the top of her head.

Then the door bursts open and in came Delta, Hickory, and Trollex.

''Great news!'' Hickory said.

''YOU'RE AWAKE!'' Shouted Trollex going over and hugging him.

''Yeah, I am.'' Branch said.

''What's the good news?'' Asked Poppy.

''Turns out investigators did some investigating, talked to the little girl and Branch's lawyer here and they confirmed it. And they took over Creek's computer and found all the info that he knew Sunset was Marcus and once your out of here Branch, you're free all thanks to Poppy.'' Hickory said smiling.

''I can't believe it, you serious?'' He asked not believing it.

''Yep.'' They said.

Poppy kissed and hugged Branch both excited and happy.
