NINE

- HALA'S POINT OF VIEW -

The next morning Jake had called me, asking if I wanted to come over and have a movie night with his best mates. I had nothing better to do today so I agreed. I just finished putting the final touches on my makeup. I grabbed my phone and shoved it in my pocket and walked downstairs into the empty living room. My sister went shopping earlier and my parents were on vacation for 3 weeks.

I walked over to the door, grabbing my keys and left. I got into my car and drove off, heading over to Jake's place.

- SEAN'S POINT OF VIEW -

It's been 3 days since I saw Hala. I've never felt so stupid in my life. I can't believe I said that. That moment kept rewinding in my head. 'I don't care about you! I care about her!' The way she looked at me when I said that, made me want to die inside. She's always been so caring and nice to me. Then I tell her that? When she was about to leave with her sister, I didn't want her to go.

Now I'm hoping to set things right with Hala. Some of my best mates and I are having a movie night at Jake's house. I made a plan with the guys that had to get Hala to talk to me. I thought it was the perfect plan. I grabbed my keys and headed out the door. I got into my car and I was off.

I finally reached Jake's house, and parked in front. I started feeling nervous. I got out of the car and walked up to the front door. I knocked and the door opened, revealing Jake.

"Hey." I said.

"Hey." He said, stepping aside for me to come in.

I walked in and heard the sound of laughter coming from his living room. I headed over to the living room and leaned against the door frame. I saw Logan, Jace, Austin, Justin and Hala. They were all laughing about something. Then they all noticed me and their faces lit up, except for Hala's. She looked down trying to avoid my eyes.

"Hey guys." I said, walking over and taking a seat next to Logan.

"Hey Sean." They all said in sync, once again except for Hala.

"So what movie have you guys decided to watch?" Jake asked, walking into the room.

"Well Hala here wanted to watch The Notebook." Austin said, chuckling a little.

"I don't get what's so funny. It's an amazing movie!" She grinned.

"Yes, but a little too girly for our liking." Logan stated.

"What are you talking about?" She asked.

"It's for girls." Logan said.

She raised an eyebrow. "I don't see what the problem is, since I'm talking to a girl."

Logan fake gasped, while the rest of us erupted into laughter. From the corner of my eye, I could see her smirking.

Logan playfully glared at her, and she stuck her tongue out at him. Our laughter died down.

"Oh! I think we should watch Friends with Benefits!" Justin stated.

"NO!" They said at the same time. I laughed. Justin was always the perverted one. He then crossed his arms and pouted.

"How about we watch, The Avengers?" Jake asked, coming to sit by me.

"Alright." Jace agreed, while everyone else nodded their heads.

"Hala, mind putting it on?" Jake asked.

"No problem." She said, getting up and grabbing the DVD, with her back turned to us. The boys then turned to me and gave me a wink. They know what to do.

We were in the middle of the movie. Now was the time to start. The guys looked over to me and I nodded. I got up and went upstairs to Jake's room and then got into his walk in closet and sat down in the middle, as I waited for the plan to start. Just then I heard Jake and Hala walk in.

"So, Jake what exactly do you need to do?" Hala asked.

"This." Jake then opened his closet door and pushed her in. She fell onto me. He then shut the door and locked it. Hala had a shocked expression as she got off me. She began knocking on the closet door.

"Jake please let me out!" She pleaded.

"Nope!" He said like a child. I laughed. She turned and glared at me. Before turning back and kept knocking on the door.

"Please Jake! I'm begging you!" She begged.

We then heard the bedroom door slam. Now it was just me and her. She sighed and sat in the corner farthest from me, crossing her arms.

"Hi." I said. She looked at me, then looked away.

"Look I know you're ignoring me, and I'm not stupid to know why." I said. She looked down.

"Then why did you say it?" She asked, looking up.

"I-I don't know." I said. I had no clue why I had said that. It just came out.

"That's not an acceptable answer." She said, now avoiding my eyes.

"Hala. I'm sorry. I miss you. I miss talking to you. I miss you laughing at my jokes. I miss how you would make me laugh. I miss being able to give you hugs. I miss the smile you would make at me. I just....miss you so much." I said. I meant every word. She looked up, a tear falling down her cheek.

"I'm so sorry." I said again.

"I miss you too." She said, sadly.

I then couldn't take it anymore. I got up and went over and pulled her into a hug. It took her a while to hug back but she did. Just then the door busted open.

"Yes!!! Did you guys make up?" Jake asked.

Hala looked at me and shook her head. She got up and looked down at me.

"I miss you too Sean. But, you're not the same person I used to know when I met you the first time." She said, beginning to sob. She ran past Jake and went outside to her car. Knowing she drove away. Jake looked at me with pity.

I screwed up. Big time.
