CHAPTER TWENTY-FOUR
SEAN'S P.O.V
3 months. It's been 3 months and she still hasn't woken up. I haven't really been talking to anyone, I've been alone and quiet this whole time. Each and every second I get more and more paranoid, thinking that she may not ever wake up. I mean, there hasn't been any good news nor bad news, just...nothing. Everyday for the past few months, I've been visiting her. Sitting by her bed, holding her hand in mine and telling her how much I love her. Now, I'm sitting here, frustrated as ever.
I threw my head back into my hands and sighed. Someday's I feel like I need to jump up and scream. punch a wall, or even rip out my hair. But that won't change anything. I took a deep breath and stood up, walking over to Hala's room. My body stiffened a little as I turned the door knob. Pushing the door open, I slowly walked into the room and looked up.
My heart dropped, she didn't look any different. Scratches covered her face but were slowly healing and bruises covered the side of her arms. But she was still as beautiful. I walked over and took her hand, giving it a gentle kiss. I took another deep breath, then dropped to my knees, my eyes watering. I looked up at the ceiling.
"This is all my fault..." I whispered, as the tears blurred my eyes. I moved to get back up, but my leg hit something pointy.
I groaned in pain. I moved to see what it was, and saw that it was a...needle? Lying under the bed? I picked it up and examined it. There was a little bit of liquid left in it...bright green liquid. A sudden thought came to my mind, a scary one actually. I jumped up and my eyes went straight to the IV wires. I examined each wire, when one in particular stood out the most.
It was taped up in one area. My jaw tightened as I clenched my fist. That bitch! I swear to god I'm gonna kill her. I grabbed my phone and angrily dialed her number. After a few rings it suddenly went to the machine.
"I am sorry, but the number you are trying to reach is not available."
"GOD DAMN IT!" I shouted. I dashed right out of the hospital and climbed into my car. I angrily started the car and drove off to Katrina's 'old' house.
******
I drove into the driveway of the house. I climbed out of the car and looked up, seeing that everything was boarded up. I groaned and walked up to the porch and pulled down the wood that was blocking the door. I then, pulled out a key. Yup that's right, I still had the extra key she had given me. I unlocked the door and walked in, only to be greeted by silence. I slowly walked around, nothing was here. Nothing, no furniture, no decorations, absolutely nothing. I walked upstairs and check all the rooms, until I got to the guest room. It was locked.
"Damn it." I mumbled to myself.
I jiggled the door knob, attempting to open it but it didn't change the fact that it was still locked. Well that leaves only one thing. I grabbed the door knob with my left hand, having a firm grip on it. My left shoulder faced the door as I got into position. I put my other hand on the door.
"Okay, ready," I said to myself, "1...2..3!" Right as I screamed three I pushed myself with full force onto the door. The door snapped open as the lock of the door fell apart, while I flew right into the room, landing on the floor with a big 'ouf.' Wow, Sean that was brilliant! I smiled proudly to myself. But just as I got up I fell back down in complete horror. I was in so much shock, I couldn't move a muscle.
There, hung Danielle's body just above the bed. A rope was hooked from the ceiling and tied around her neck. She was dead....I slowly got up and walked closer to the body. I stretched my shaky hand towards the note that was attached her wrist, and quickly snatched it. I took a deep breath and opened the note.
'It's called a secret for a reason, it's not meant to be told' It read.
I looked back up at Danielle and sighed. For some reason, I knew this was coming. I knew Danielle was going to get some punishment after she had told us everything. Guilt filled up inside of me. This was my fault. Everyone closest to Hala are disappearing, and I don't know how to stop it. I sighed in frustration as I got my phone out and called 911.
About 12 minutes later the ambulance came, and took Danielle's body, placing it in a bag.
"Excuse me sir," I turned around to see an officer, "do you have any idea what happened here."
I shook my head. "No, I found her here." The officer looked up at the body then back to me.
"Did she have any depression or anything? Because this may of looked like a suicide." I shook my head.
"This was no suicide. I know for a fact that she had no depression at all, not even in her past. She was a happy non-caring type of person. This was not suicide," I paused and looked at the body, then continued...
"This was a murder."
