Brenden,

It's been a while.

I felt your last letter warranted a response. Because the words in it were cocky and prideful and terribly conceited, and that wasn't the Brenden I knew. So whoever this Lexie chick is, she can have you, because I want nothing to do with you.

Yet the fact remains that we will probably be seeing quite a bit of each other. So I hope that you can be civil around me and not accuse me of flirting with you, or get Lexie to do it for you. I too am in a happy relationship now and don't need to be bothered with your stupidity anymore.

So I hope that this letter finds you in good health, and that when I see you for the first time, you don't instantly fall madly in love with me.

Did that last line sound strange? Reread the last letter you sent and see how different it is.

A/N: I'm starting to get salty with how many cute couples I put in this book.
