Aria,

So I'm assuming, from your Facebook post, that you're coming to Berkeley. And I have mixed emotions, which is why I'm actually writing you after a month of silence.

I just want to make sure that things won't be weird. That is, assuming we even see each other, because it's a big school. But just in case, I want you to know that I'm with someone else now and I'm very happy with her. Not to demean you or anything like that, but the fact remains that she's the one who makes me happy now, and not you.

So I hope that after receiving this, you won't have any false expectations when you arrive here, and that we can be civil to one another and respect each other's new lives. Thank you for reading!

A/N: Hey guys! So I know I have some explaining to do, since I missed two updates in a row and I'm updating on a Tuesday?? 

I've been having some personal problems--let's just say that it was a bit strange to come back to the Connor/Sydney world when the people Connor and Sydney are based off of in real life are no longer together (and Sydney was based off of me, to give you some perception). It's been a difficult week BUT I know that everything is for the best and that throwing myself into my writing is what will help me the most! So I will now be updating regularly again, and I'm sorry for not giving any advance notice on my missed updates and all that stuff--it's just been a very different week.

BUT, in the past week, Dear Sydney hit 500,000 reads!! That's halfway to a million, guys. What the heck! It's crazy. I know I said I might release my secret project at 500k, but I don't have it ready yet--so that will have to wait for another milestone!

Let me know your thoughts on this chapter...the dialogue chapters could be coming up soon!
