Abhishek saw Arnav looking down at his uncle, Khushi, Natasha, Payal and Shashi having a conversation down stairs in the small garden situated in the middle of the house.

The sound of his electric wheelchair broke Arnav's reverie and he turned and smiled at him as he moved closer to him.

"Don't worry....... Payal and Khushi will definitely get your uncle out of his depression...... My wife and baby sister have this magic of making people snap out of depression. " Abhishek said knowing Arnav was worried about his uncle wellbeing and the tragedy that occured a couple of days ago.

Arnav nodded and smiled at Abhishek knowing he was right.

Flashback.

Arnav and they others after leaving RM rushed to the hospital and to Abhishek's room.

Payal took the lead out of excitement to see her husband and the others followed.

She reached his room to find Abhishek wide awake and doctors and nurses assigned specifically for Abhishek by Natasha standing by his bed.

Tears started cascading down her cheeks when she saw him and how he no longer looked pale like he use to.

Abhishek felt gaze on him and looked up to find his wife and the love of his life staring at him and he smiled seeing her.

Payal rushed and hugged him and Abhishek wanted so bad to reciprocate but nearly eight months in coma has made his body numb.

Payal pulled out of the hug to see the sad and disappointed look on his face and smiled and kissed him on the forehead.

"It's okay Abhi...... I know you wanted to reciprocate but couldn't because of the months you have been in coma......" Payal hugged him again. "I miss you so much....... And am so happy to see to awake. " Payal cried still hugging him.

"I miss you too. " Abhishek exclaimed in joy shocking Payal who gasped and pulled out of the hug and looked at Abhishek shocked.

The doctor who immediately knew why Payal was shocked cleared it.

"We were also shocked when he woke up and asked of you. " The doctor said and Payal turned her head to him and back to Abhishek with a smile. " We thought being in coma for so long will affect his vocal cord but he proved us wrong when he spoke..... We already run some test on him and he is miraculously fit but will have to stay for a few days for observation..... Am sure with  physiotherapy, he will gain of control of his body soon because he heals faster....... I will leave you now. " He completed and left
with the other nurses.

Payal and Abhishek looked at each other will all the love in the world.

Their reverie was broken by Khushi voice.

"Bhai."

She called out and Abhishek looked at his little sister and she rushed and hugged him and cried as Payal stood up making way for her.

"I miss you so much bhai....... I know it's kind of my fault you and jiji's wedding got postponed but you got married in secret and am happy for the two of you. " Khushi said and held Payal's hand and that of Abhishek's.

Abhishek smiled but it turned into a frown after seeing the red substance on Khushi's partition and the nuptial necklace around her neck and looked at Khushi and back to Payal.

"You are married?....... Oh God..... How long have I been in coma?...... And who dare marry you without the permission your brother and how did you find me?. " Abhishek kept on asking the questions without pause and Payal sighed and asked him to relax and then told Abhishek everything that happened from Akash to Natasha rescuing him, her fake marriage to Akash, Khushi and Arnav's marriage, Akash's arrest every single thing that happened while he was in a coma.

Abhishek was shocked hearing how his wife compromised herself to avenge him and how his little sister was hurt in the process. With his aunt, he wasn't that surprised since she has always been a money minded woman and was against his relationship with Payal because she was from a middle class family and wanted him to get married to a high class woman for money.

Abhishek then proceeded and told them about how Akash lured him to Sheesh Mahal with a business proposal in the name of Arnav because he knew who he was after confronting him for stalking Payal.

After a few minutes of silence, Abhishek asked.

"Where is your husband? "

 Payal rolled her eyes at his brotherly overprotectiveness of Khushi.

Arnav moved forward away from the door and stood in front of Abhishek.

Abhishek stared at him from head to toe and cleared his throat.

"According to my wife, you love my sister and I trust her word but be warn...... I will mess you up if you hurt my little sister and that's not an empty threat. " Abhishek warned and Arnav smirked making Abhishek glare at him and Khushi giggled while Payal shook her head.

"Don't worry Abhishek...... I will try not to hurt her. " Arnav promise making Abhishek yell.

"Excuse me what do you mean by try....... You must not hurt her...... Understood. "

He barked taking Arnav aback because no one speaks to him like that but he knew it's normal when it comes to brothers protecting their sisters and he nodded.

Khushi and Payal were in shock at how obediently Arnav nodded to Abhishek.

The others moved in and were introduced to Abhishek.

He thanked Natasha for saving him and a remorseful Manohar apologized for Akash but Abhishek stopped him and asked him not to apologize for anything since he wasn't the one who did it.

After a few hours Abhishek fell asleep pit of exhaustion and Payal stayed behind at the hospital to take care of him and the others left to Arshi's house to settle down.

The next day, Shashi was told the reality of Garima and he was sad but stayed strong for his daughters and forbade his sister from approaching him or his daughters.

A few days later Abhishek was discharged and he was asked to stay in the hospital for his physiotherapy but he refused and wanted to do it at home because he was feeling suffocated in the hospital and luckily enough for them Khushi's house had a lot of rooms and a large swimming pool for his excuses,so they all moved in including Shashi and Natasha who has become a part of the family and has been accepted by Shashi.

Natasha cried and hugged Shashi when Shashi asked her to call him her father and she was so happy because she was been longing for a family and she gain one through her tragedy.

Nani and Mami tried to approach the family but Manohar warned them to stay away.

Three day to Akash's trail, the family were done having their breakfast when the police and Mr Roy with a sad face arrived at the house confusing them.

Aman let them in and Arnav asked what was wrong.

"I told you all I was going to the police station to finalize the investigation. " They all nodded. "Well I went there only to find out Akash has committed suicide by slitting his throat. " He revealed shocking the family especially Manohar.

"It's not true...... Akash is very cunning and I know he is faking it. " Natasha said unable to believe Akash killed himself because she knew him and his capabilities.

"Sorry dear...... He really killed himself and I personally checked the body at the morgue...... He is really dead....... They are here to take a formal release statement from Manohar because I don't want him stressing himself by going to the morgue. " Mr Roy explained.

"So that bastard got away. " Manohar exclaimed in anger shocking all of them. "He should have stayed and faced the consequences of his actions.......Am not interested in his body...... Call his mother and let her handle it...... Am done..... I gave the boy my love but it wasn't enough for him...... He is not my son...... So please don't involve me. " Manohar uttered in anger.

"Please Manu...... Please don't disgrace our son like this. " Mami's crying voice said and everyone turned to find her and Nani behind the and they all stood up facing them.

"What the hell are you doing here?" Manohar bellowed making everyone flinch.

They were shocked to see this kind of reaction from a man who was just told his son died but what they didn't know was he was a man who was fed of giving his true and genuine love to the two most ungrateful people on earth and that is his so called wife and deceased son.

Mami mastered up all the courage she had in her and kneeled and begged him.

"Manohar please..... Please don't reject him....... Please at least give him the farewell he deserves as your son....... Yes he made a lot of mistakes in his life and I played a major role in his behavior...... Please Manohar...... Do this one thing and I will never bother you again........ If not for anything remember he is you son."

Mami cried and Manohar scoffed in disgust shocking everyone. Manohar kneeled to her level and looked right into her eyes.

"Akash is not my son...... And you know it....... So let's not pretend anymore. " Mami looked up shocked and so did the others who also looked confused.

"Wh..... Wh...... What are you talking about? " She stuttered.

"Manohar...... I know you disowned Akash but please stop just this once....... Please give him a farewell that all...... No matter what he has done..... He is still your son. " This was Nani's saying and Manohar stood up and help Mami stand up.

He looked right at Mami and knew it was time to reveal a secret he has been keeping for so long.

"You are absolutely right....... Akash is indeed my son but not biologically because this woman slept with another man and pass his son of as mine. " Manohar yelled shocking everyone especially Mami who was shocked about how he knew. "Don't looked shocked Manu...... I have known Akash wasn't my son since he was three....... And yet I loved him like my own and gave him my name and how did that ungrateful bastard repay me!? "

There was a sudden silence as everyone was trying to process what they just heard.

Nani moved closer to Manohar and cupped his cheeks and asked.

"Son..... Please tell me it's not true...... Please..... Please tell me Akash is my biological grandson. "

Manohar jerked away his mother's hands and took a few steps away from her.

"Sorry to burst you bubble but Akash is not your biological son.... The only biological grandchild you have is Arnav whom you neglected........ As I said..... I found out Akash wasn't mine when I one day I saw Manu crying after receiving a call and she rushed out and I followed her only to be lead to a funeral of a man...... She saw the body and rushed out crying....... I moved closer to find out who it was and I was shocked to see a man with Akash's exact features..... I silently left there and hired a private investigator to dig up the history of Manu..... I then did a DNA test and from it I discovered Akash wasn't my son...... The investigation came back and from it I found out Manu had been having an affair with that man for the past one year before Akash was born....... I was shocked and wondered if I was a bad husband...... I provided her with everything no matter how ridiculous it was.......  I had a seizure for the first time in years in the office of the investigator......... I was taken to the hospital after wards....... And I discovered another shocking truth of my life........ I was impotent because of the seizures I got from my temporal lobe epilepsy which is suffered in my childhood....... I couldn't father a child because of that........ So I decided to forgive Manu and love Akash as if he was mine and never told anyone the truth until now. "

Everyone stood in shock listening to the revelation.

Nani moved closer to Mami and slapped her twice.

"How could you do this to my son..... How could you? " She cried while shaking Mami vigorously and Mami jerked Nani's hand away in anger shocking everyone.

"It's all because of you. " Mami said taking Nani aback. "Yes it's all because of you...... I was married to your son before Ratna married Arvind..... You never accepted me..... You always humiliated me at family gathering calling me a gold digger and heinous names....... I endured it until after Anjali's supposed birth when you taunted me at her naming ceremony for being barren. " Nani looked down in shame remembering everything. "I endured it all...... But you kept on with your taunt after Arnav was born....... I got fed up of being accused of being a gold digger and a barren woman....... I went to the hospital and that was when I discovered the fault wasn't mine but your son....... I loved him too much to tell him the truth...... So I started an affair just to have a baby...... Maybe that will stop you from taunting me but even after Akash's birth, you didn't change and I got feed up...... I got feed up of the tantrums you threw because of Manohar defending me..... If you called me a gold digger which I wasn't at first then I will be one and be called it...... At least I know it will be true....... You are to be blamed for all of this....... So stop blaming me..... When the root cause is you. " Mami yelled at Nani who melted on the floor and cried knowing she was right.

"Thank you Maa...... Thank you for ruining so many lives just because of status....... Yes Manu did love me in the beginning that I never doubted...... But you made her who she is today and she is equally to be blamed for wanting to please you and forgetting my love was enough for her. " Manohar yelled making both of them flinch. "Please get them out of my sight." He said to no one in particular....... And prepare Akash....... I will lit his pyre...... It's the least I can do for him. " Manohar concluded sadly and robotically walked away to his room.

"Manohar wait..... I want to tell you something... Please. " Mami cried but he never listened and she turned to Arnav. "Chote..... Please listen to me...... There is something you should know. "

"Enough mami...... You have caused enough damage please just leave with your so called mother in law here." Arnav yelled and Mami was about to retort but one deadly glare from Arnav was enough to stop her and she with a heavy heart left and after a few minutes later Nani followed but not before staring at the pictures of her daughter and son in law with garlands on the picture and beside it were a couple she deduced were Khushi's parents.

Arnav and Aman organised the last rites of Akash and he was cremated and everyone left for the house.

Three days later, Anjali was sentenced to twenty years in prison for attempted murder.

Garima was sentenced to ten years in a prison for conspiracy.

Anant was sentenced to life imprisonment for attempted murder and conspiracy.

Shyam who taught he was going to have a short sentence because he provided the evidence against Anjali and Anant was shocked when he was slapped with a forty years sentence for accessory to murder and attempted murder of Shashi and stalking.

Unknown to him, a neighbor who was reviewing his CCTV footage saw Shyam hurting Shashi and told Khushi and Payal about it. CCTV footage from the hospital also showed him attempting to cutting off the oxygen supply of Shashi.

Mami even before Akash's funeral disappeared without a trace.

Nani lived alone in RM in guilt for destroying her family.

For Arnav and his small family and friends  began to picking up their routines but kept a low profile because of how they were in the media eyes always since the arrests and sentences of Anjali, Anant, Garima and Shyam.

Akash's death was widely telecasted and Mr Roy advised the family to lay low for sometime.

Flashback ends.

Arnav and Abhishek then joined the family not knowing their world would be turned upside down tomorrow.

Khushi woke up and moaned in pain at the sharp pain behind her head and opened her eyes only to find out her hands has been tied from behind and he feet bound to the chair she was sitting on.

She tried freeing herself but failed and started shouting for help.

"No one will hear you from her Khushi. " A voice said and Khushi looked up and was shocked to see who it was.
