Dear Alisha,
Learning to love yourself was the ultimate lesson of your life. Gathering those pieces you've scattered along the way was the hardest, and remaining true to your soul was a true testament to who you are. Knowing  your worth was the destination of your journey and learning that even though not everyone deserves a place in your heart, you can still care for them , from a distance, and that became the biggest flex of your life.

I write this letter to you to remind you to never again attempt to fill a void with a temporary person. Permanence is where your soul resides. Never forget what you've been through, but don't allow situations that remind you of past choices to dictate the outcome of your future. Life is like driving a car. You hold the steering wheel, so navigate your vessel to the place you belong.

Be proud that you've survived things that should have broken you and use that to inspire others to push through and persevere. But don't live there. Your heart has no place with unsure people.

Remember, who loves you. But love yourself first. Do all the things you've always wanted to do..travel, marvel at something new, at something culturally enriching, never stop learning, and never stop loving. Just remember that life will go on with or without you, and it's no time to be wasteful.

You are strong and fierce, and you are capable of achieving anything you put your mind to. Take care of our heart, heal all past wounds, don't let them seep out all over everyone else, stay focused on the present, and don't be afraid of the outcomes of the future. I love you,I love me....Always.
