LEVEL TWO: THE RIGHT PERSON IN THE WRONG PLACE
[Saving.....]
Geralts messager didn't have to look long before finding the first possible recruit for Geralt's company.
This particular recruit was currently slamming a woman's head through the hard wood of the bar.
A mass of flaming red hair marked the fighter apart from the crowd that had amassed around the brawl.
[NAME: Reid Greyson
GENDER: Female
CLASS: Fighter
Lv. 4
ADDITIONAL NOTES: also not the main character. Brawling is second nature to Reid even from a young age where she severely injured her P.E teacher when she didn't allow co-ed dodge ball. Suffers for slight alcoholism, she had a problem. ]
Reid grabbed the other woman by her throat and lifted her, brandishing her bloody knuckles.
"Ehy, ya daft eejit, scarlet for yer mother havin ya!"
She shouted with her thick accent. grabbing a bar stool she used it as a make shift knuckle duster and plowed her fist into her opponents face sending her across the bar.

" ehy, someone get er a cleric while ya get me another drink!!"

The crowd around her cheered and clicked their drinks, A typical bar fight.
"Shame though..... pretty Lass," She muttered under her breath, careful not to let those around her hear.
To her dismay she felt a tap on her shoulder, interrupting her enjoyment of of her drink.
"Excuse me miss, but I have a proposition for you. There's a particular fight I think you'd be perfect for,"
Reid turned to face the man, her interest peaked.
"An adventure eyh? What's the coin?"
The man smiled and held out a coin bag positively bulging with coin.
"This is a down payment, plus everything you earn in the strongholds."
[+300 gold]
"Eyh, so it's demon huntin is it? Dangerous work..... so, who's the mark? Which lord are we going to try to bring down this time?"
The messager laughs and nods.
"Your an observant one, but you won't be hunting any lord, but a monarch,"
The fighters hand shot out and grabbed the man's collar, yanking him in close.
"You better not be suggesting what I think you are, going after the queen only leads to repeated death, your gonna need ten times this to pay for all the revivals!"
She growled as she shook the down payment in the messagers face.
"Tell yer boss he'll need more then me to get past the front door,"
The messager ignored the woman's rage and decided to go for a more tactful approach.
"That's to bad, I hear the demons of the monarchs strong hold are levels ahead of anything in the others. Imagine the glorious battles to face on the way up....a shame really,"
He hid his smile expertly as he saw the red head curse violently under her breath.
"Damnit..... fine! Ya have me, but I want double this, and I assume you have a full party in mind? I ain't carrying all the wait,"
The messager smiled as he removed a second bag of gold, he expected as much and Geralt had a great deal of gold.
[+300 gold]
"Oh trust me, that's the plan, we'll await your arrival in drenchwood, we make for the tower from there,"
[NEW QUEST ADDED: war of the world's- take the battle to the demons]
[Saving.....]
Feeling particularly good about himself, the messager returned to his horse and set off for the next tavern, then the next, then the next.
After a week of failures the messager found his former confidence ebbing away.
[ACHIEVEMENT UNLOCKED: quite....too quite]
The messager sighed and rubbed his eyes. One moment his way was clear, the next a woman blocked his path.
She had bottom of her face covered by a black cloth with a hunters cap covering her purple hair.
"Ello governor, now what's a rich dope like you doing out here all by your lonesome?"
[NAME: Chai Lao
GENDER:Female
CLASS: rouge
Lv. 5
ADDITIONAL NOTES: still not the main character. A life of poverty has lead this skilled rouge into a life of crime.]
The messager was taken aback at the woman's sudden appearance. In her hands was a knife in constant movement, always spinning and twisting between her fingers.
"I'm out to preform a task, and you?"
A note of sarcasm peirced his voice as he was able to guess.
"Oh nothing much, just reliving fancy bastards like you of their extra coin. Why don't you just make my job easy and hand it over, or you can run and give me a challenge. Up to you."
The messager sighed and reached into his jacket reaching for the small throwing blade hidden there.
"Ma'am, I believe you should go home and rethink you life. I'll give you one chance,"
The woman only smirked.
"Try it,"
The messager moved at hyper speed as he flung the small blade, sending it towards the woman's heart. Incredibly however the blade was intersected on its flight by an arrow fired from the dark woods.
The woman's wrestling glinted with joy as she called out to the hidden archer.
"Nice shot dear,"
From the forest seemingly emerging from the trunk of a tree was a tall cloaked figure holding a massive long bow.
"Mhmm, of course," The man said in a soft quite voice.

"Now, would you consider our first offer?"
Holt leveled his bow at the messagers face.
"I'd listen to the lady, it's hard to miss from this distance,"
The messager being the crafty bastards that he was saw not a threat, but an opertunity.
"Of course, but I must ask, would you rather have what I have now or more then you could dream of ?"
The thieves glance at each other then back to the messager.
"Deal? What kind of deal?!"
The messager reached into his coat and retrieved a sack of coins and tossed it to them.
"I'd like to hire you for an adventure, this will be the first installment. You'll be paid fairly for all you do and be allowed to keep whatever you find along the way,"
Holts modeled green cloak hood turned to Chai in disbelief as he checked the bag.
[+600 gold]
"This is more then we make in a week...."
The messager could see he had them, it was his job to find what people wanted and use it against them.
"That? That's nothing compared to what you could male on this journey. If it is successful then you'd probably be able to retire. So, what do you say?"
The thieves stood in shocked silence. It was a good moment before Chai stepped forward.
"What's the job?"
With a grin the messager preforms a grand gesture.
"Nothing much, simply killing the queen of demons!"
The criminal duo shared a dubious glance before they both nodded.
"We'll follow you until then stranger. You'd better hold up you end,"
The messager smiles.
"You can count on it,"
