Nico knew he's only been at Marie's for a day, but he was still having trouble getting over Skylar.

He knew what he did was the right thing because no matter how much they both loved each other Nico didn't want to be in a relationship when he knew she still had feelings for someone else.

A part of Nico always knew she still had feelings for him. He just kept pushing it back because he thought it was all in his head and he was happy to finally be with a girl who makes him feel things he hasn't in a long time.

But like they say the heart wants what it wants. Even if Nico wanted to hate her he couldn't he didn't think anyone could for that matter.

She's just one of those people you want to hate so bad, but you can't because you love them too much and if you hate them, it be like you're hating yourself.

"You did the right thing Nic" Nico heard Marie say. Nico didn't even realize she was in there till she said something.

He was too lost in his thoughts to even realize she was there. 'I know but does it have to hurt so much I loved her Mar" Nico told her before turning to face her away from the balcony.

"Thats what love does" Marie said sitting next to Nico. 'We love someone so much that when it ends it feels like we're dying inside" Marie told Nico.

"She was the only girl i dated since Nadia I never thought I could love again" Nico told her sadly. "I know" Marie said. "Maybe she was in your life for a reason" Marie said once again.

"Like what" Nico asked her. "Maybe she was there to show you it's okay to love again" Marie told him.

"Nic it's okay to be sad I saw the way you looked at her you were in love with her when you didn't even know it yet" Marie told him, and he sighed.

"Look you are a great guy and someday someone extremally lucky is going to know that you're going to find someone maybe even the one it just takes time I know you loved Skylar I do but maybe now it's her time with Logan" Marie said, and Nico smiled at her.

"You always know the right thing to say" Nico told her. 'Hey, it's what friends are for" Marie told him.

"Now come on let's go cheer you up I know one thing that always cheers my best friend up" she said. "Milkshakes and hot dogs" Nico asked happily.

"You bet now let's go" Marie said and Nico smiled getting up. They both grabbed their keys locking the door before leaving to get milkshakes.

Before you even ask whenever Nico got down milkshakes and hotdogs were always his comfort food. No one but Marie knows this they have been best friends since the first grade.

They have been there for each other since then sure they lost touch after what happened to Nadia and Nico always hated that, but he just couldn't bring himself to see anyone after what she did not even Marie and Marie never thought her sister would do that.

But things happen for a reason Nico believed that he loved Nadia he did but she didn't love Nico as much as he loved her and that's okay.

Currently Marie and Nico were just walking after finishing their hot dog drinking their milkshake enjoying each other's company.

"So, how's Leon" Nico asked Marie about her current boyfriend trying to start up conversation.

"We broke up" Marie told Nico taking a sip of her strawberry milkshake. "What when" Nico asked surprised. "About a month ago" Marie told him.

"How come you never told me" Nico asked her. "I didn't want to bother you" Marie admitted.

"Marie, you could never bother me what happened" Nico asked her, taking a sip of her vanilla milkshake.

"He just wasn't the right guy" Nico said. "I'm sorry Mar" Nico told her. "It's okay honestly I just go after the wrong guys" Marie said.

"What no you don't" Nico told her. "Yeah, I do" she argued back. "Okay who" Nico asked her. "Jason, Leon, Andrew, you" Marie said putting Nico in shock when she said his name.

"Me" Nico asked her, making her realize what she said. "Right, you don't know" Marie said.

"Know what" Nico asked taking another drink of his milkshake. "I had a crush on you" Marie admitted to him. "What" Nico asked again.

"Yeah, it was before you and my sister got together" Marie said.

"Mar, I had no idea" Nico told her. "Nic it's okay it was a long time ago I just always thought you felt the same I was too chicken to ask" Marie said.

Then when you and Nadia got together, I realized you didn't and spent the entire summer trying to get over you" Marie admitted. 'Did you" Nico asked her.

"It took a while, but I eventually did" Marie told him. "So how long are you staying" Marie asked changing the conversation. "Just a couple weeks" Nico told her.

"Only a couple you should stay longer I miss you" Marie said and Nico smiled. "I can only take off work for so long" Nico told her. "How do you like your job" Marie asked, taking a sip of her milkshake.

"I love it" Nico admitted, and she smiled. "Hey, we should go clubbing before you leave like we used to you were always the better dancer you could show me some of your moves" Marie said and Nico smiled.

"Okay sure let's do it" Nico said, and Marie smiled while they continued walking finishing their milkshake.

Logan and Skylar were finally being released from the hospital and also it has been a couple weeks since Nico and Skylar broke up.

Logan has been visiting Skylar and Reign anytime he could, and Skyler still hasn't told him about the breakup between her and Nico. She knew she should but every time she tries words just don't come out.

But she was going to tell him today before they left even if she had to force them out.

Logan appeared without Skylar noticing picking up Reign talking to his baby girl like she is the only one that matters.

That just makes Skylar love him more and more every day. "Has she eaten" Logan suddenly asked.

"Yeah, not too long ago" Skylar told him, and he nodded just enjoying holding his baby girl.

"Logan there's something I been meaning to tell you" Skylar said suddenly getting the courage to tell him. "Yeah" Logan said looking at Skylar before putting Reign back down.

Before Skylar could back out like she has been she blurted out saying "Nico and I broke up".

"What when are you okay" Logan asked concerned. "Yeah, I'm fine it was the day of the accident I been trying to tell you I just couldn't" Skylar told him.

"Why did you break up I thought you loved him" Logan asked. "I do but I love you more" Skylar told Logan making him smile bigger. "You do" he asked just to make sure.

"Yeah, I always have it just took me a while to see it" Skylar told him. "Wait what about Nico I don't want to hurt him "Logan asked.

"I haven't heard from him in weeks besides he broke up with me because he knew how I felt about you he would want us happy" Skylar told Logan.

"You sure" he asked. "Yes, I'm sure" Skylar told him, and Logan smiled.

"Okay" Logan said before kissing Skylar on the lips.

Those sweet lips Skylar missed so much this wasn't like the first time they got back together this felt way better it was like back then she couldn't explain it, but it was different good different.

They eventually pulled away from the kiss just smiling at each other like they both been waiting for this for decades.

"So does this mean I can finally call you my girlfriend again" Logan asked her, and she laughed before saying "yes of course.

Logan smiled before giving Skylar a quick kiss on the lips and they just stayed there enjoying each other's company watching their daughter.
