"I have stage 4 cancer" Emily said looking at Skylar. "Yeah, I got that when did you find out" Skylar asked her sounding concerned.

"Last Summer during Constance sophomore year in college" Emily told her. "And you haven't told her yet" Skylar said confirming everything.

"I wanted her to enjoy her life get to know you and Mason go to school be a teacher like she always wanted I just want to enjoy the little time I have left knowing my daughter is happy" Emily said holding back tears.

"You'll have to tell her because trust me it's easier to find out from you than someone else and you're her mom she's going to miss you like crazy she probably won't even be the same again without you she deserves to know" Skylar told her.

"What's going on I deserve to know what" a voice said making them turn around to see Constance. "I'll leave you two be" Skylar told them and left.

"Mom what is Skylar talking about what's going on is everything okay" Constance asked them worriedly.

"Sweetie sit down" David told his daughter, and she sat down at the kitchen table as she sat with her dad.

"Last Summer during your sophomore year in college remember when I told you I couldn't come to your game because I had a doctor's appointment" Emily asked her.

"Yeah of course it was the biggest game of the year how could I forget" Constance told her.

"Well, that day is the day I got diagnosed with stage 4 cancer" Emily told her putting Constance in shock.

"What and you didn't tell me mom" Constance said teary eyed.

"I wanted you to enjoy your life go to school you just found out about your siblings I wanted you to get to know them I didn't want to ruin this day" Emily told her.

"How long" Constance asked, and Emily understood what she meant. "6 months" Emily replied sadly "and Constance nodded.

"What am I going to do without you" Constance asked her with tears falling out.

"Honey, you will always have me no matter where you go okay and now you have a sister and brothers to help you out, ones I hope you get to know they seem like they really wanna know you your birth mother never gave them that chance" Emily told her, and she nodded.

"Now sweetie we will talk about this later I'm going to prepare the guest room for your siblings and cook dinner go spend time with them they are only here for a couple days" Emily told Constance, and she nodded as she got up and left.

Skylar saw Constance walk in and slowly sat down on the love seat. "Hey, you okay" Skylar asked her.

"Yeah, just a lot to take in" Constance said, and Skylar nodded. "Even though we just met, and we know it will take some time to warm up to us, but we are here for you" Mason told her and Skylar smiled.

"She smiled then sighed again thinking about something. "What is it" Skylar asked her.

"How are we supposed to get to know each other if you're not even here" Constance asked her, and Skylar looked at Mason as he nodded.

"You could come stay with us for a while I have an extra bedroom and there are amazing schools in Chicago" Skylar told her, and she smiled.

"Really" you would let me stay with you" Constance asked happily.

"As long as it's okay with your parents and you finish school" Skylar told her, and she smiled" "Thank you I'll ask them after dinner" Constance told us, and she nodded.

"Dinner's ready" Emily yelled for them as they all got up and left to go eat.
