Ethan

Its been 3 days, and I've not had any basketball, no school, so what's a boy to do? Also, my stupid friends are sending me condolence messages. Like, what the heck! I've just moved, not died! Anyways, dad says we'll go to meet the principal of Hillingdon High on Saturday. Great. I want to start school at the earliest, then that will become my new normal. Scarlet can't wait to make friends and she's acting like a 10 year old.

(The next day)

It is Saturday and I'm just getting ready to go to the school and meet the pricipal and get admission. Then hopefully, I can start on Monday. Let's get this over with.

"Come in Mr. and Mrs. Calloway, I presume that is Ethan and this is Scarlet" The principal says. I almost feel like saying - 'We are two kids, one girl one boy, what's so hard to presume that I'm Ethan and that's Scarlet. No, you must be thinking I'm Scarlet and she's Ethan because it's pretty common to name boys like girls and vice versa.'

"So, your previous school reports are pretty good, Scarlet" She says. As usual.

"And you play basketball, Ethan?"

"Yes."

"Your coach says you are an asset for our team, so I'm not going to question that and you can meet the our coach. He'll test you and you'll be on the team" She smiles.

"Thank you"

She says a few guidelines and briefs mum and dad. Scarlet is paying attention and I'm not. It doesn't interest me. After she's done, she hands us a pamphlet of the school. We head outside and get talking. She did say it was fine to join Monday. Scarlet says she wants to shop for supplies. Mum ships me off with her to get bored for free. Thanks mum.

After a deathly bout of shopping, Scarlet and I return back home. She heads inside to call James, tell him how she's doing. I decide I'd better head to the sport complex to check it out and see if I can come after school and practice. I get a notification on my phone that my admission has been confirmed. Hmm. Just have to get through the rest of the weekend now.

Sorry for how short this chapter is. Well, now that Ethan is gonna come to school, the rest of the story will be based on Astoria's perspective. I will occassionally add Ethan's perspective too, when I feel the need to see the double picture. Anyway, her life is way more exciting than his, plus I'm a girl, so I can't really write boys' POV's that well😅 (guilty) but I try. Please comment and give me ideas for what you'd like me to write next. Love you guys loads♥️
