Soon to be wife, he said and I felt some kind of weird yet joy erupts inside me. I couldn't understand my own self but I did agree for his proposal because I will get what I want even I got married.

My mother's wish will be fulfilled and at the same time I wasn't going to be under real marriage's commitments. Nathan knows my story so he wanted both parties to earn benefits at the same time and I'm surely glad for that.

He doesn't talk much after I told him to not do that sweet talks when we are alone and I don't know why but something tells me that its kind of hurting him.

Is it true because we both do know that this marriage is fake but why is he behaving like he really wanted me as his wife? Or if it's an acting, why is he hurt and never speaks a word after I asked him to stop doing so? Am I really hurting him and for some reason I felt like I'm using him for what I want but however the benefits are vice versa.

I told my friends about my sudden marriage arrangement and they burst into laughters because they thought that I was just pranking them. I was prankster in highschool so everything I said wouldn't make them to believe fully. I love to see their reaction when they finally acknowledge that it's a prank but now the situation here is for real and they still looked me as if I'm joking.

I confronted them that it was for real and Sally understood my seriousness. They started to did in my story about this marriage arrangement and they congratulate me. Sally looked me like she's not getting something and the next day she called me for a meet up alone.

"So what was this wedding about? " she asked with full seriousness.

"It's true, Sal. He proposed me and I agree to it, thats it. " I huffed, regarding her still disbelieve on the news.

"You said your not into him but now your going to marry him...Wait, something is wrong here. Your hiding something to me, don't you? " she said while narrowing her eyes.

Okay, she won. I just couldn't lie to her.

"Yes, Sal. Okay, I couldn't keep this up from you already. This isn't a real marriage, it's happening because of an agreement between the two of us. " I said calmly.

"What the hell are you talking about? " she nearly yelled and I gestured her to keep it low tone as we are in a public restaurant.

"I have no choice, okay, I have to do this for my mother and I'm doing. " I explained and she raged over me.

"Doing this for your mother? Are you joking? It's your damn life...I know that your mother really wanted you to get married so soon because of those stupid astrologies but a marriage out of an agreement? No, you can't do this. And your the one who told me that he might be a player then how could you settle down with a player, Ishita? " she angrily pointed out everything.

"I know what's happening, Sal. Just don't worry and promise me that you will be there for me...no matter what. " I nearly pleaded her.

"Of course, I will be there always for you but...but why are doing this? If you are really doing this for your mother then you could have agree to any other suitor before this but why him? Why do you choose this guy and what's the agreement about? " she asked everything in way cooler and I can found clear confusion in her look.

I don't want to tell her about the agreement in details because if I do, she really won't let me to get married so I have to lie to her too.

I'm so sorry, Sally.

"Because maybe...maybe I know that he's the one for me or...or I-I fell for him? " I shyly uttered to make her believe but I'm seriously blushing for real and the thing is, I don't felt bad when I'm clearly lying to my best friend, why?

"So, you are in love with him. Hey, you silly. Why don't you tell me this earlier? I won't be this mad if you do said this before you said about the agreement. " she said, tittering to herself.

"Huh, yes. So, do you have anything else to yell about now? " I asked while rolling my eyes.

"Absolutely, nothing to ask anymore. Your answer is crystal clear already. " she said in way more happy tone and I started to think of what would she do if she finally get to know about the agreement in details.

Will her happy smile fades away? I don't want to hurt my best friends. Well, maybe when the right time comes I would eventually let her know?

We ended our talk with final cup of coffee in our favorite cafe and I drove her home.

We are on our way to his parents for me to meet them and he wasn't like his usual self right now.

Is it because I told him to stop acting the other day but I didn't mean to stop him from talking to me. Then why is he seems to be cold?

I said that because he was being so lovely and caring like I was his girl in real and the proximity we shared at my house garden had brought me back to where he stole my first kiss or more like I give my first kiss. It was dreamy but I couldn't repeat the same mistake again.

My first kiss is a mistake? Oh, no. What am I thinking?

The car ride was covered in silence and when I wanted to open my mouth to start a conversation, I found myself mezmerised by the view that appeared on my sight now.

It was his parent's house, or should we say, a mansion because the structure of the building put me in awestruck as the whole house were outerier designed with elegancy.

For a moment, my thought flows to the architect who would have desinged this mansion wisely and of course, it must have cost millions. I wished I could get to create a plan for a house like this when I get into my architecturing field but I won't say that it will be my future house.

Condominium is my only dream for a house because whenever I wake up on the morning, I want to be amazed with the city roads and building along with the shining blue sky around as I will be watching them twinning from the toppest floor.

He brought me to the main door and I shifted closer beside him as I started to get nervous. The fact that Nathan and me weren't equilavent in our status as he's more prosperous than I thought.

The thought of how his rich family going to accept me had been vandalising my mind rapidly as he opened the door to reveal his big marvelous hall room. He sensed my nervousness because the moment we enter the house, he didn't took much time to politely guide me around and he also intertwined our fingers till he finished showing me each and everything around the whole house.

I, for some reason didn't protest him to do so because the nervousness fade away the minute his fingers intertwined with mine. He was showing me everything like a well experienced tourist guide and I found my self enjoying the moment with him.

Some minutes later, he brought me to the back yard, where I found a pool with small stones around and I spot a wood wrap around L shaped seating with a concrete cube coffee table on the corner of the backyard. There, I saw two elders welcoming us with a wide smile and I reflects them.

The woman walked up to me and hugged me tightly as she was really in cloud nine. She looks more like a brown mother and I right away knew that's his mother, Mrs Lawrence. The man stood up to greet me and I could clearly notice the copyright of Nathan's outward appearance that make me study everytime because he inherited a lot from his father.

They were so sweet and humble. She speaks in my mother tongue as well and I got relaxed knowing that she's more like my league. My soon to be mother in law assure me as her own daughter and I get comfortability on the spot. Nathan leaves us to talk all alone and she freely acts as she was waiting for him to leave.

"Ishita, I'm very happy to see you love birds today. You know, I used to thought that he would eventually ruins his life with a woman who wouldn't care anything about him, but his money only. But you see, the fate plays it parts and let him meet you instead. " she said while tapping my lap softly and happy tears twinkles in her dark orbs. I felt bad now, how can we betray his mother's love like this? Poor her, she thinks that I'm his forever but only God knows of what we had planned on this marriage.

"Aunty, please stop crying. I'm grateful to meet someone like him and your right..." I uttered every word but my eyes was averted to the group before continueing, "...the fate plays it's part pretty good. "

The rest of our conversation were so disturbing as she began mentioning about grandbabies. Fortunately, Nathan came back to us to approach me for a farewell as it's getting darker by time.

We exchanged our goodbyes and I mentally thanked Nathan for saving me from such a topic.

The car ride was in silence again and we reached our house. He never even taken a glance at me and he is being as if he is fighting for himself to not look into my eyes.

When we reached my house, I thanked him and opened the car's to leave but was stopped when he spoke.

"You looked beautiful today. " he said while eyeing me intentionally.

Finally, he made a eye contact and I nearly wanted to do a small dance right now.

"Only today, right. " I said teasingly as I looked down to my fidgeting fingers.

His hand reached over to my chin and escorted my eyes to meet with his as he whispered, "You have no idea of how speechless you got me by just being so beautiful. Not just for today, but everyday. Each second was a battle for me to survive from your killer like beauty. "
