XD's POV

"I was so damn close to fixing everything!" I yelled in frustration, my emotion's getting the best of me as I ran towards my so called brother

I wanted to stab, hurt, yell at them. I want them to suffer, they ruined my plan to make sure everything was gonna return to normal. That's the plan! That's the script we must follow! Why?!

I grabbed a hold of them, "Why?!"

They just looked down at me before shoving me to the ground, "St0¶ y0ur wh!n!Ng, y0ur a G0d, @ct l!k€ it"

"A God that's trying to get everything to normal! I don't see what your doing, out of everyone I'm doing the most work"

"...Re@||y? C0mp@r!ng y0urs€lf to 0th€r's? T00 l0w f0r y0ur$elf " Lucid explained

"I..."

"I Wh@t? What too u$ele$$ t0 d€f€nd y0urs€lf?" Lucid shook his head, "P@th€t!c r€a||y..."

"...I try...I really do try"

"Y0ur s!m¶ly ripping y0ur
fam!ly's happiness @w@y fr0m th€m, th@t's the pl@n?" Lucid scoffed at my plan, almost sounding embarrassed of me thinking of such thing

"Happiness? There's no such thing of that emotion, we're not mortals. Mortals are to feel, we're God's, we shouldn't feel anything" I took a deep breath, "Karl, our own bloodline tried to change the line of fate, we can't allow such crime to continue"

"... Y0u re@lly d0 s0und h0pless, really a p@thtic s!ght to s€€"  Lucid scoffed, "Y0u
d!dn't want to s@ve Karl when h€ was close t0 be d€ad,
!nstead you offered to do another action, n0t c@ring y0ur so called bl00dline

"... I-"

"Aπd y0u call that 'f@te', it's f@te for your br0ther to reach God-hood th!s €arly in l!Fe? Wh@t about the r€st?"

"...Lucid... Us God's aren't meant to be with others, especially mortals. I'm practically helping them. It will happen one day that the end will come, their existence will be nothing but fragments in our family minds..."

" Th€y should f€€l mortal emotions right now, we'll w0rry @bout their G0d- h00d later -"

"You mean me... Not 'we' , you were never there raising them, I was there their whole 'mortal' life, you were probably drinking your problem's away just like Nightmare -"

"D0 n0t rel@te m€ to th@t- that 'th!ng' !!! I Shall n€v€r s€€ them as bl00dline" Lucid yelled, almost horrified being called family to Nightmare

"Ouch I'm almost hurt..."

We looked to see the black and red colored entity. They looked upset, "Never thought you would say such hurtful words... Well all the so called 'perfect' god's have the people they despise the most"

Lucid looked away, shivering at the sight of Nightmare.

Lucid really never liked Nightmare. Since 'good' must hate 'evil' or so, light always defeats darkness or such crap. I never believed that. The mortals from long ago poisoned Lucid's mind into thinking such thing.

I still remember where they both went to war with one another. Killing an entire empire as I watched them.

Where do they go again when they die?

I looked above the distant sky to see Lucid clashing swords with Nightmare

I wanted to float up to them and ask them, but Nightmare would just pat my head with their bloody hand and shoo me away. Lucid would just ingore me.

This would be their 10th time fighting in the mortal realm.

'I guess when I'm older, I will have to fight my family, I guess every family fights to the death' I thought to myself, ready to take a nap

Before looking up in the sky to see Nightmare stabbed by swords.

They looked at me as I waved at them, this is normal. One winner and one loser

Nightmare threw a enchanted sword at Lucid before teleporting to me

Badly injured they kneeled at me, Nightmare chuckled, "Heh, looks like I'm the loser once again... Pity actually, I was sure to win"

"...Like the mortals say, 'Light defeats Darkness', is that the only reason you two fight? Are family suppose to injury one another?"

Nightmare laughed a bit, before coughing a bit of blood, they patted my head, "You sure do have a curious mind, and I don't believe what those mortal say, anyone can win. If you see yourself as a hero and believe what your standing for, fight without anything holding you back. But that all leaves to pain and suffering at the end, something me and Lucid understand when we fight"

"And family?"

"... Family... Well family do hurt one another -"

"To death?"

"... We're not like those mortals, XD, in this family we do things a bit more different"

"Which is normal?"

"Hard to believe, but yes" They laughed before a sword peirced their body. Normally I would gasp in the bloody sight. But this was normal in our family. Blood was splattered around, hitting my face as well.

Nightmare kneeled down before looking at me, "H-heh, I guess I'll s-see you... After a few decades..."

They touched my cheek with their bloody palm before Lucid drew his sword and swung it ...

Decapitating Nightmare ... Their body collapsing into particles, like glitter blown.

"Wh@t a me$$, w€ll l00ks like this €mpire is g00d for g0ne, let's le@ve"

"What about the mortals?"

Lucid gave out a laugh, "Th0se g00d for n0thing m€at s@cks? The 0nly v@lue they h@ve is th€ir s0ul..."

"But Nightmare always says-"

I felt a swift hand go across my face, "... Let's go back home then, I'm tired either way..."

~~~3rd POV ~~~

Late at night, a certain small God figure came to the burning empire which now seemed to be close to ruins

XD tried to hide his presence and fixed homes, crops, restored animal life, and much more.

The only main concern was that he could never let Lucid come to this area for a few weeks.

If Lucid knew what he was doing, he was sure to be banished at the white void again

Soon enough XD managed to fix many of the empire stuff. Happy he accomplished something good for once, he was ready to take a good nap before bumping into someone...

"S-sorry, I didn't pay attention -"

He stopped, he wasn't in his physical form, he looked up to see before trembling in terror

"W-wait Lucid!-"

But it was too late, all XD knew was that he was at the white void for months to come...

~End Of Flashback + XD's POV ~

Lucid and Nightmare were arguing  once again

Typical, luckily we weren't in the land of the mortals, but who cares if they die or not

"You think your so high and mighty, it sickens me!" Nightmare yelled, clutching his fist

"Unl!ke you I do stuff and d0n't f@vor 0ne of the family m€mbers!" Lucid scoff

"Well at least I pay attention to them!"

I wanted to leave... It's like younger me is still here. I would try to separate them but get shoved away. To this point, it's repeating, the argument

"You guys never really care for them... You guy's don't deserve their concern" I snapped, tired of everything I had that 'belonged' to me, be taken away by my so called 'family'

Just then we heard clapping. We all looked to see Dream

"Wait...how are you here?" Nightmare asked, trying to sound innocent

"Oh cut the crap" Dream snarled before turning to my direction. Dream ran up to me before punching me in my gut

"How could you... Not save my brother as he was bleeding out?... I- no we trusted you that you would keep us safe"

"We all thought you would respect our choices in life, guess not, so what are we to you? Mindless puppets force to be God's?" Dream mumbled, in the verge of tears

Dream was one of a kind. He took after me, wanting to be exactly like me, and I was more than happy to make that dream  come true. Of course, I made sure I didn't neglect Foolish, my first creation. Thankfully they had a lovely bond, before Nightmare decided to snatch Dream and teach him. Lucid took after Foolish and taught him many things.

The only thing that hurt me the most was that the things that they taught them, they didn't bother teaching me when I was younger

I had to teach myself many stuff

But I suppose they grew bored from them and didn't bother teaching them no more, well Lucid to be more exact.

I was more of the parent figure to them, so it hurts me seeing my child yell at me, asking for what purpose do they serve for

"Dream... It's fate, your destined to be a God, this family is to not define fate nor disrupt it"

"So it's fate for us to become puppets?" Dream mumbled

"Stop referring to that term, you are not 'puppets', we gave you a 'mortal' life, it will all come to an end so just appreciate it for now" I tried to calm down Dream, trying to get closer so I could hug him, but he stepped back

"Revive Karl or else I'll do it!" Dream yelled out, "And as well get away from our lives until death ..."

And cut, that was a good chapter in my opinion. And guess who's back, sorry for the two month wait, Palettes, yeah I deserve Karma for lying to y'all. But since I'm at summer break, that means I could upload more.

My plan is to focus on this story and finish it before I work on my other story.  But that plan could very much change, who knows, but either way thanks Palettes for being patient.
