Virat whispering : You should sleep, Amu. We have a long day ahead.
Amu shifts slightly, resting more comfortably against him, and Virat’s heart swells. His gaze softens as he looks at her peaceful face, her body pressed close to his. He doesn’t close his eyes—he can’t. He’s too overwhelmed by the fact that she’s here, with him, after everything.
Virat ( Pov )
I thought I had lost you forever, Amu. I spent years convincing myself that I could live without you, that I could somehow move on. But no matter how hard I tried, there was always this emptiness inside me. Everywhere I went, every breath I took—it felt like a shadow of what life used to be with you.
There were nights I’d lie awake, wondering if you thought about me the way I thought about you. If you ever missed me, even for a moment. I tried to distract myself, tried to convince myself that it was better this way, that letting you go was the right thing to do... but deep down, I was lying to myself. I was devastated. I tried to bury myself in work, in the life I built without you, but none of it mattered. The success, the people around me—it all felt hollow. Every smile was forced, every day felt endless, because you weren’t there to share it with me.
He tightens his arm around her, holding her close, as if afraid that if he lets go, she’ll vanish.
There were so many moments when I thought of giving up. When I thought you had moved on completely, that you were happier without me... but I never really stopped hoping. Somewhere, deep inside, I knew. I knew you still felt it too. That pull between us... it’s always been there. No matter how far apart we were, no matter what came between us.
And now... I won’t waste this. I won’t let you doubt us again, doubt me. I’ll do whatever it takes to make sure you know how much I love you, how much I need you. You’ll never have to question where you stand in my life, Amu. I’ll show you every day that you’re everything to me.
Virat looks up at the ceiling, his mind racing with thoughts of the future.
We have a long day ahead, that’s true. So many things to face... but none of it scares me. As long as you’re with me, we can take on anything. I’ll fight for you, Amu. I’ll fight to keep you in my life, because you’re mine... and I’m never letting you go again.
He presses a soft kiss to her forehead, the weight of his emotions settling into the quiet room. Amu stirs slightly in her sleep, her hand resting on his chest, and Virat closes his eyes for a moment, breathing in the calmness of the moment.
Virat lies awake, his heart full of determination, as Amu sleeps peacefully in his arms, unaware of the silent promises he’s making to himself and to her.

📌 BHAVANI CHITNIS - AMRUTA'S MOTHER
▪26/March/2024 ( Amruta's Room )
The soft glow of the morning sun filters through the curtains, casting a golden light over the room. Amruta stirs in her sleep, feeling the weight of Virat resting peacefully on her chest, his arm draped over her possessively. For a moment, everything feels perfect—his soft breath against her skin, the warmth of his body, the closeness they shared.
But as her eyes slowly open and reality sets in, the rush of everything that happened last night crashes down on her. She blinks a few times, her heart starting to race as the consequences of their actions dawn on her.
Amu whispering, panic rising :
Virat... wake up.
She gently shakes him, her voice urgent but soft enough not to disturb the quiet of the early morning. Virat stirs, groaning slightly before opening his eyes, blinking up at her with a sleepy smile.
Virat sleepy, his voice low :
Morning love
Amruta feels a mix of emotions—love, fear, guilt. Her heart pounds in her chest as she looks down at him, still lying comfortably against her.
Her voice shaking : Virat, you need to go. What if someone sees you? You can’t be here when everyone wakes up!
She starts to sit up, gently pushing him off her, her mind racing with the implications of what they did. Virat watches her, still calm, as if nothing else matters but the moment they shared. He runs a hand through his messy hair and smirks slightly, sitting up beside her.
Virat teasing : Raghav already knows, Amu. We share the same room, and trust me, he noticed I wasn’t there last night.
Amruta’s eyes widen with fear, but Virat quickly places a hand on her arm, calming her.
Virat reassuring : Don’t worry, I’ll make some excuse. I’m good at that. You know me.
Amruta shakes her head, worry clouding her features.
Amu anxiously looking at virat : Virat, this was a mistake. We can’t keep pretending like nothing’s wrong. What we did... it can’t happen again. You need to leave before anyone sees us together!
Virat takes her hand gently, pulling her closer. His eyes are serious now, no longer teasing.
Virat firmly says : What happened last night wasn’t a mistake, Amu. It was us. It was our love.
He cups her face in his hands, making her look directly at him.
Virat soft but determined : I won’t let anyone turn what we shared into something dirty. No one gets to question what we have, not Raghav, not anyone. What we felt last night... that’s real. That’s ours. And I’m not letting it go, no matter what anyone thinks.
Amruta’s heart aches at his words. She knows he means them, that he’s willing to fight for her, for them. But the weight of their circumstances presses down on her.
Her voice breaking : But Virat, we’re both... we’re both with other people. How can we keep pretending like this doesn’t matter? Like there aren’t consequences?
Virat tightens his grip on her hands, his expression unwavering.
Virat ( Serious, passionate ) : I’m not pretending, Amu. I’ve never been more serious in my life. I love you. I’ve always loved you, and I’m not letting you slip away again. Raghav... he doesn’t get to take you from me. You’re mine, and I’ll fight for you, no matter what.
Amu looks into his eyes, torn between her love for him and the life she’s supposed to be living. She bites her lip, conflicted, her heart racing as the tension between them hangs in the air.
Amu softly : Virat...
He presses a finger gently to her lips, silencing her.
Virat gently : Go ahead, tell me it didn’t feel right. Tell me you don’t feel it too. Tell me you don’t love me as much as I love you, and I’ll leave right now
Amruta’s throat tightens, but no words come. She can’t deny it. She can’t lie to him.
Virat confident, knowing : You won’t say it... because you know what we have is real. It always has been. And I’m not walking away from you again, Amu. Not this time.
They lock eyes, the weight of his words sinking into her, but before she can respond, there’s a sound from down the hall. Amruta panics, pushing him away gently.
Amu hurriedly : Go, Virat. Please, just go. We can’t get caught. We’ll figure this out later, I promise. Just... go.
Virat hesitates for a moment, his eyes lingering on her face before he finally nods, leaning in to press a soft kiss to her forehead.
Virat : I’ll go for now... but this isn’t over. We’re not over.
With one last lingering look, he slips out of the bed, gathering his clothes and moving quietly toward the door. Amruta watches him go, her heart heavy with the weight of what they’ve done—and what’s yet to come.
As the door closes behind him, she lets out a shaky breath, her mind spinning with guilt, love, and fear.
Amruta sits on the bed, staring at the door where Virat just left. Her emotions are swirling—when suddenly, her phone buzzes on the nightstand. It's her mother. Amruta hesitates for a second before answering, her voice still unsteady from the events of the night.
Amruta quietly : Hello?
Bhavani ( Firm, stern ) : Amruta, we’ve finalized the date for your wedding.
Amruta’s heart skips a beat, dread settling in her stomach. She knew this conversation was coming, but after everything that happened with Virat last night, it feels like her world is closing in on her.
Amruta hesitantly : The date...? Already?
Bhavani sharply : Yes. It’s been dragged on for too long, Amruta. Raghav has been waiting patiently, but he has made it clear this can’t be delayed anymore. The wedding is set for next month, and this time, there will be no excuses. No delays.
Amruta’s head spins as her mother continues, her voice hardening with each word. The weight of her responsibilities and expectations presses down on her, suffocating her.
Bhavani ( Cold, threatening ) : I've let you have your way for too long, but enough is enough. You will marry Raghav. If you don’t, then I swear, Amruta, I’ll forget that you’re my daughter. I’ve already told your father, and he agrees. This is your last chance to make things right. Don’t test me.
Amruta grips the phone tightly, her pulse quickening. Her mother’s words cut deep, and the threat of being disowned hangs over her like a dark cloud. She feels the walls closing in, panic clawing at her chest.
Barely able to breathe, her voice trembling : Maa... you can’t mean that.
Bhavani Unyielding : I mean every word, Amruta. You’ve embarrassed us enough with your hesitations and your wavering. Raghav is a good man, and this marriage. Saying this she hangs up the call.

▪ 26/March/2024 ( Dinning Area )
The family gathers around the table, laughter and chatter mixing with the clinking of cutlery. Amruta sits slightly apart from everyone, still processing the whirlwind of emotions from the previous night. Nimmi notices her distant demeanor and leans in with a playful smile.
Nimmi whispering, teasing : Amu, is it just me, or is there a glow on your face this morning? Is it what I think it is?
Amruta’s cheeks flush as she tries to hide her embarrassment. She glances around, making sure no one else is listening, especially Raghav. Virat, sitting a few seats away, overhears their conversation and smirks, a confident grin spreading across his face.
Virat boasting, playfully : Oh, come on, Nimmi! You know it’s all me. I’ve always had that effect on her.
Nimmi raises an eyebrow, a sly grin on her face, clearly enjoying the banter.
Just then, Raghav walks in, his presence commanding and bright.
Raghav approaching Amruta : Hey, Amu! I missed you. He opens his arms and pulls her into a warm embrace, catching her off guard.
Amruta hesitates for a moment before returning the hug, a mixture of emotions churning within her. As she pulls back, Raghav’s gaze holds hers, filled with genuine affection.
Raghav concerned : How are you this morning? You seem a bit off baby.
Nimmi quickly changing the subject : Oh, it’s nothing, Raghav. Amu just had a long night, that’s all!
Virat, now sitting up straighter, watches the interaction with narrowed eyes. His expression darkens as Raghav gets closer to Amruta, his possessiveness flaring up.
Virat mockingly casual but clearly irritated : Yeah, just a long night... right, Amu?
Raghav glances at Virat, sensing the tension. He frowns slightly, trying to gauge the dynamics between the three of them.
Raghav casually : So, what are you two talking about? Anything interesting?
Amruta can feel the heat radiating from Virat as he leans back, crossing his arms defensively. His eyes flash with jealousy, unable to hide the storm of emotions brewing within him.
Amu quickly : Oh, just girl talk, you know. Nothing to worry about!
Nimmi chuckles, sensing the brewing tension and trying to diffuse it, but Virat’s irritation only grows as he watches Raghav’s friendly demeanor with Amruta.
Virat cutting in, possessively : Well, it’s good that you’re here, Raghav. Amu could use a friend... especially with everything going on.
Amu smiles, her heart aching at the contrast of emotions. She looks between Raghav and Virat, aware of the unspoken tension but unsure how to navigate it.
Amu nodding softly : Yeah, I know. Thank you, Raghav.
Virat watches Raghav’s closeness with Amruta, his possessive instincts taking over. He can’t help but feel a surge of protectiveness, the jealousy bubbling beneath the surface.
Virat under his breath, barely able to contain himself : Just remember who you belong to, Amu.
Amruta hears the whisper and glances at Virat, her heart racing as the air thickens with unspoken words. Raghav, oblivious to the tension, continues to engage Amruta in conversation, completely unaware of the storm brewing around them.
After breakfast, Babita, claps her hands to gather everyone’s attention.
Bebo cheerfully : Alright, everyone! I hope you’re all ready to show off your dance moves for the sangeet! Let’s make it a night to remember!
The room fills with chatter and laughter, and everyone starts discussing their performances. Raghav leans over to Amruta, a playful smile on his face.
Raghav grinning : I hope you’ve been practicing, Amu. I want our dance to be perfect!
Before Amruta can respond, Charu, Virat’s fiancée, cuts in, her tone dismissive.
Charu with a hint of annoyance :
Actually, I won’t be performing. I hurt my foot during practice, so... she waves her hand dismissively I’ll just sit this one out.
Everyone exchanges disappointed glances. The dulhan not performing is a letdown, but the group quickly shifts gears, trying to keep the mood light.
Bebo trying to keep spirits high :
That’s alright, Charu! We’ll still have a great time.
The topic is dismissed as the choreographer enters, clapping his hands to gather attention.
Choreographer enthusiastically : Okay, everyone! Let’s get started with some practices. I want a passionate dance from you two! He gestures toward Amruta and Raghav.
Amu feels a flutter of excitement and nerves as she prepares for the dance. Raghav takes her hand, giving her an encouraging smile, but just as they begin to practice, Virat strides into the room, his expression a mix of determination and jealousy.
Virat firmly : Wait! You’re not doing it the right way.
Everyone turns to Virat, surprised by his sudden intervention. The choreographer raises an eyebrow, a bit taken aback.
Choreographer confused : What do you mean, Virat?
Virat stepping forward, assertively : Let me show you how it’s done. Amu, come on. We’re going to dance together.
Amruta’s heart races as she looks at Virat, a mix of emotions swirling within her. Raghav steps back, sensing the tension but unwilling to back down.
Raghav trying to keep it light : Hey, man, we were just getting started.
Virat ignoring Raghav, focused on Amu : Trust me, Amu. Just follow my lead.
The music starts, and as Virat takes her hand, the energy in the room shifts. He pulls her close, their bodies moving together seamlessly. Amruta can feel the intensity radiating from him, her heart racing.
Virat whispering, his eyes locked on hers : Just feel it, Amu. Don’t think about anything else.
They begin to dance, the movements growing more passionate and fluid as the music swells. Amruta feels alive, the chemistry between them undeniable. The world around them fades away, and it’s just the two of them in their own bubble.
Nimmi & Shaky watch from the sidelines, a knowing smile on their faces as they sees the spark igniting between Virat and Amruta. The other guests gather around, captivated by the display of emotion and connection.
Bebo beaming, clapping her hands : This is what I wanted to see! Look at them!
Raghav watches from the side, clearly frustrated as he sees Virat leading Amruta in the dance. He tries to hide his disappointment, but it’s clear he’s affected.
As the dance continues, the passion between Virat and Amruta escalates, their movements becoming more synchronized and electric. The music builds to a crescendo, and for a moment, everything else fades into the background. It’s just them, lost in the rhythm and each other.
As the final notes of the song play, they come to a halt, breathless and eyes locked. The room erupts in applause, but the tension remains palpable as everyone feels the unresolved emotions lingering in the air.
Virat smirking, a mix of triumph and possessiveness : See? That’s how it’s done.
Amruta looks between Virat and Raghav, her heart racing as she processes the intensity of what just happened, knowing that the night has only just begun.

▪26/March/2024 ( Amruta's Room )
Amu was standing in front of her mirror, adjusting her jewelry and fixing her hair for the sangeet. The atmosphere is filled with excitement, but beneath her smile lies a swirl of emotions. Suddenly, she hears a knock at the door.
Amu calling out : Come in!
Raghav enters, his expression warm and friendly, instantly brightening the room. He closes the door behind him, leaning against it with a smile.
Raghav casually : Hey, Amu! Just wanted to check in on you. Have you heard about our wedding date being finalized?
Amu turns to face him, forcing a smile despite the flutter of nerves in her stomach.
Amu trying to sound cheerful : Yeah, my mom told me. It’s in two months, right?
Raghav steps closer, his demeanor shifting to one of genuine concern.
Raghav : Are you alright with everything? I know it must be hard seeing Virat getting married.
Amu takes a deep breath, her heart racing at the mention of Virat. She tries to project confidence, putting on a brave face.
Amu reassuringly : I’m good, really. I’ve moved on.
Raghav watches her closely, his gaze searching for any hint of doubt. Satisfied with her response, he pulls her into a warm hug, enveloping her in his arms.
Raghav warmly : I’m glad to hear that. It makes me so happy that we’re getting married soon.
Just then, Virat, who had been on his way to see Amu, overhears the last part of the conversation through the slightly ajar door. His expression darkens instantly, anger boiling beneath the surface. He steps forward, entering the room without knocking, catching them off guard.
Virat Furious, voice low : Happy, huh?
Amu and Raghav break apart, surprise etched on their faces. Raghav straightens, slightly taken aback by Virat’s sudden intrusion and tone.
Raghav defensively : What’s wrong with being happy about our wedding, Virat?
Virat’s eyes narrow as he locks onto Raghav, his jealousy and protectiveness flaring up.
Virat coldly : You think it’s that simple? You’re getting married to her, and she’s just supposed to be fine with everything?
Amu steps forward, sensing the rising tension between the two men, her heart racing.
Amu ( firmly ) : Virat, this is my life, and I’m happy with my decision.
Virat’s expression shifts from anger to a mix of disbelief and frustration as he looks between them, the reality of the situation hitting him hard.
Virat shaking his head : You think you can just move on? You’re not over me, Amu.
Raghav, sensing the animosity, steps between them, trying to defuse the situation.
Raghav calmly : Let’s keep this civil, Virat. Amu has made her choice, and it’s important that we respect that.
Virat clenches his fists, his jaw tightening as he fights to maintain control over his emotions.
Virat challenging : Respect? You think you can just waltz in here and take her from me?
Amu looks between them, her heart pounding as the tension thickens in the air. She knows she has to speak up to prevent things from escalating.
Amu steadfast : I chose Raghav because I believe it’s what’s best for me. You need to respect my decision, Virat.
Virat’s gaze softens for a moment, the weight of her words settling in, but the storm of jealousy rages within him.
Raghav firmly says : What you had is in the past, Virat. Amu is moving on, and you need to let her go.
Virat softly, yet fiercely :I can’t just stand by and watch you with someone else, Amu. You know what we had.
Raghav’s frustration boils over as he takes a step forward, trying to stand his ground.
Virat storms out of Amu's room, leaving a heavy silence behind. Amu turns to Raghav, her heart racing from the encounter.
Amu trying to ease the tension : You should go and get ready for the sangeet, Raghav.
Raghav nods but hesitates, glancing back toward the door where Virat exited, concern etched on his face.
Raghav : Are you sure you’re okay, Amu?
Amu forcing a smile : Yeah, I’ll be fine. Just... go on.
Reluctantly, Raghav leaves the room, and Amu takes a deep breath, trying to collect herself.

▪26/March/2024 ( Virat's Room )
Raghav heads to his and Virat’s room, where Virat is pacing back and forth, visibly agitated.
Raghav entering the room : Virat, we need to talk.
Virat whirls around, his frustration bubbling over.
Virat angrily : What is there to talk about? You’re marrying her, Raghav. I will not let you take her from me ?
Raghav firmly : She’s not “yours” to take, Virat. Amu has her own choices to make.
Virat runs a hand through his hair, the intensity in his eyes unmistakable.
Raghav calmly : I care about Amu, and I want her to be happy. But if you keep pushing her, you’ll only drive her away more.
Virat’s anger morphs into desperation as he steps closer to Raghav, their tension palpable.
Virat voice low and intense : You don’t understand. She was my whole world. I can’t just let her slip away like this.
Raghav : And what do you plan to do? Keep coming between us? You think she’ll choose you if you act this way?
Virat clenches his fists, frustration radiating from him.
Virat determined says : I won’t give up on her. I can’t ( & walks away )
Raghav stands in front of the mirror, adjusting his outfit for the sangeet, but his mind is racing. He takes a deep breath and leans against the dresser, staring at his reflection. Speaking to himself, determination etched on his face : I won’t let anyone come between me and Amruta. Not Virat, not anyone. She deserves happiness, and I’ll be damned if I let her past interfere with our future.
Raghav with conviction : You just watch, Virat. I’ll prove to you and to everyone that I am the right choice for Amu. I will not let anyone disrupt the happiness we’re building together.
He straightens his posture, confidence radiating from him as he takes one last look in the mirror.
Raghav softening, but resolute : I love her too much to let anything stand in our way. Whatever it takes, I’ll make sure that Amu knows she’s safe with me.
With that, Raghav takes a deep breath, ready to face the world and the challenges that lie ahead, determined to fight for his love.
