Kavita : Bebo di,both the dulha & dulhan's have reached. All the relatives & friends will reach by tomorrow morning so let's go hit the bed now.

Bebo : Ya kavi, you're right.You know I'm so happy that both my kids are getting married tomorrow.Nimmi toh kabse taiyaar thi,i wish Virat would have agreed sooner but you see der aaye durust aaye ( Better late than never )

Kavi : Haan di,now everything will fall into place don't worry.After what happened 7 years ago i never thought virat would find someone for himself again but who would have thought that he will get married to his best friend itself.

Bebo : I just hope he's not making a compromise by marrying her. True, i wanted him married but not under any pressure.But you know na for Nimmi to get married virat also had to.I don't know why Bebe had such a weird condition for this marriage.

Kavi : Well let's just hope the wedding goes without any hitch.You know na I don't trust Charu, i mean she's a nice person by heart but the number of impulsive decisions she has taken makes me think otherwise.

Bebo : I know kavi why you're worried and even i hope they get married without any drama.

Virat was aimlessly staring at the ceiling when he heard a knock at the door.

Virat : Who's it ?

Nimmi : Virat bhai it's me open the door na

Virat opens the door : What are you doing here, didn't sleep yet ?

Nimmi ( nervously ): Bhai actually.. I... I wanted to talk to you about something

Virat : Is is everything alright nimmi ? Why do you sound so nervous ? I hope all's good between you and shaky

Nimmi ( chuckles ): Yaa bhai humare bich sab thik hai, and infact shaky is the happiest person on earth today. But I wanted to talk about something else bhai. Wo you know na shaky and me have been waiting to get married since forever now.

Virat : I know you guys have waited too long just because of me but don't worry anymore nimmi. I am also getting married na, now everything will be fine. Our family will be happy again haan !

Nimmi : Bhai actually that is what i wanted to talk to you about. Now everyone will be happy and it's such a big day for me also so i.. i wanted ki meri best friend bhi mere sath, i mean yaha, meri shadi mei aaye. See bhai I know it's very difficult but please don't say no. I haven't met her since 7 years and i know this is the best time to meet her because she won't be able to deny me now.

Virat : Nimmi you know what you're asking is too big of a price to pay. You know things didn't end well and she... She probably hates me even now.

Nimmi : Bhai it's been 7 years, i think she must have moved on and you have too because if you wouldn't have moved on toh aap kabhi iss shadi k liye haan nahi bolte.

Virat : Nimmi do you really want her here ?

Nimmi : Bhai i know it's very selfish of me to ask you this but yes, bhai I do want Amruta here. You know na I've always treated Amu as my little baby. She was my only confidant until that, that day.

Virat : She was the most important person in my life but you what time has changed and so has my priorities so I will not come between my sister's happiness. It doesn't matter to me if she's here. You can definitely call her nimmi.

Nimmi ( screaming ) hugs him: Thank you bhai, thank you so much. You know you're the best. Chalo, I've got to go now. She'll definitely need more convincing than I did here.

Virat Pov :

7 God damn years and you still affect me the same Amruta. I still can't forget that 1 little misunderstanding tore everything apart. I can't believe you're not with me. It's feel like just yesterday we were so happy so madly in love with each other and now. Why was it so easy for you to go away rather than confronting me.Only if you would have spoken to me then we would have been happily married by now.

But I can even blame you for things because meri iss hi aadat ne mujhe tumse dur kiya hai. I wish instead of blaming you everytime i would have sorted the problems toh aaj Amruta meri hoti aur mai uska. Nimmi said you've moved on, really ? I don't believe that you have, my heart still beats for you Amu toh phir tum kaise mujhe bhul sakti ho. But whatever it is finally we'll meet, finally tum meri aakhon k samne hogi. I don't know kaise sambhalu khudko, i just hope I don't break infront of you.

Unable to bear the thoughts of what may happen when Amruta arrives there Virat grabs a beer to calm himself. 4-5 beers down and Virat had finally passed out thinking of what the next day would have in store for them.

As everyone gather for breakfast bebo found Virat & Nimmi still hadn't come from their rooms.

Bebo : Anjali go and call your bhaiya & nimmi di

Anjali : Ji mamiji

Virat : What's up everyone !?

Anjali : I was just going to call you bhaiyaa

Virat : Actually last night i was partying a little late so subah kab hui paata hi nahi chala, but tu chup rehna kuch bolna maat sabko

Anjali : Haan haan I knew aapki party hi chal rahi hogi and what do you mean by kisiko kuch maat batana, do you think mai chugli karti hu bhaiyaa ??

Virat : Nahi nahi i was just kidding pagli

Anjali : Anyways I've to go call Nimmi di Byee

Virat : Areyyy listen, nimmi toh apne room mei nahi thi. I also went to check on her but she wasn't there.

Anjali : Nahi thi matlab phir kaha

Suddenly they here Nimmi happily shouting.

Nimmi : I can't believe you're finally here. Goddd i missed you so much my baby. Come & meet everyone.

Virat froze, time had paused for him as he finally saw after 7 long years. AMRUTA his AMU was standing infront of him. She was looking ethereal, meeting his family, smiling like an angel. His heart skipped a beat yet again when he saw her smiling like that.
But somehow he could notice that her smile didn't reach her eyes ( like she was pretending, but he thought with a sigh why would she pretend, maybe she's just tired with all the travelling )

Nimmi : Bhai, bhaii i have been calling you since last 5 mins. Where are you lost ?

Virat : N...nothing wo wo actually i was just, leave all that. Hii Amruta.
LONG TIME, NO SEE . How have you been ?

Amu : Hii, I.. I am good. Heard you too are getting married. Umm, Congratulations

Bebo : You guys know each other

Amu : No
Virat : Yes

Dildar : Yes or No betaji ??

Amu : Wo actually uncle we've met before at nimmi's b'day party

Virat pov ( So this is how it's going to be, you'll not even accept that we were friends, why are you not even looking at me Amu ? )

Virat : B'day party ? Yes yes dad b'day party

Dildar : Ohh, chalo betaji you also join us for breakfast

Amu : Thank you uncle but i had my breakfast on the way. Nimmi i am tired can i rest for a bit ?

Nimmi : Yes baby, you don't even have to explain. Chalo now go and get some rest after that come down for the mehendi ceremony

Amu : Okayyy boss ( chuckles )

Bebo orders the staff to keep Amu's luggage in her room.

Virat pov ( Yes, this is the right time. I have to somehow talk to her now )

AMU was going to her room when she was suddenly pulled by someone near a pillar.

Amu : You ? Leave me

Virat : Not today, you'll have to answer my question only then I'll let you go

Amu : There's nothing between us to talk about. Everything was over long ago

Virat : Who decides that ?

Amu : Who ? I decide that.You are getting married to someone so please stop this drama of yours and let me go

Virat : Haan go, go away. That is what you have always done

Amu : Excuse me ? What about the situations you create because of which i am forced to walk away ?

Virat : Amu listen, I'm not here to argue with you. I am here to talk about US. You know what i feel for you then why didn't you talk to me. Why did you just go away like that. If you would have stayed back then i could have explained you

Amu : Explained what ? Justify you cheating me with someone else ? That is what you always did. Infact i was the blind to trust you over and over again. But you know what now I'm over you and these things don't affect me anymore. So, Virat Singh Ahuja leave my hand i need to go.

Virat : No amu, I'll not let you go

Amu : What is your problem

Virat : You, you're my problem. You were smiling at everyone and you don't even want to talk to me, your indifference is killing me Amruta.You know i love

Amu : Just stop this nonsense okay.
You cheated on me when i was your girlfriend and now you're getting married to charu, again started another drama with me ? Atleast do justice to one relation of yours Virat. Don't make me hate myself for loving a cheat like you.

Amu walked away leaving a heartbroken virat. Virat couldn't understand what he should do to win her trust back because in all the misunderstandings the most important thing ( TRUST ) amu had on virat was broken beyond repair.

Amu reached her room and locked it so she could be alone for sometime.
As soon as she locked the door she burst into tears.

Amu pov -

What does he want from me now ? He played me, broke me into pieces and now he wants to come into my life again ? Why god why ? Iss baar agar maine usse apne kareeb aane diya toh I'll not be able to handle his betrayal. I'll die, I won't be able to take it.

For 7 years i have been trying to hate him but even today I can't hate him, even today my heart still beats for him, just HIM. My Shengdana 🥜

📌HARSHYA ( HARSH CHITNIS ) -- AMRUTA'S BROTHER

Amu's phone ringing brought her out of her stupor.

Caller : Amu,Harshya said you went to Nimmi's wedding that too without informing me. How could you go there even after knowing he's there

Amu : You know na how much nimmi means to me. And there are not many people who are close to me so i wanted to be here on her special day, please don't scold me.

Caller : I know all of that but still you could have atleast informed me, i would have come with you.

Amu : This is why i was not telling you, everything is fine here and jiske wajah se tum pareshan ho uski bhi shadi hai. So you don't have to worry about anything.

Caller : What ? That that means you're lying to me amu. He's getting married and you want me to believe that you're alright. Really, do you think i know nothing about you.

Amu : It's not that , acha suno I've to go get ready it is time for the mehendi ceremony. You take care & tell harshya he'll get nicely from me for not keeping my secret.

25/March/2024 ( Mehendi ceremony )

The mehendi ceremony had begun, Virat was sitting with Nimmi, Charu & Shaky. He was restlessly waiting for his Amu to come but she was nowhere to be seen until now. Virat was losing his patience as after the conversation they had previously he was sure that he could solve the misunderstandings and get back his Amu in his life, then he wouldn't have to go on with this marriage facade at all.

Charu pov ( Godd what is wrong with these people. What is this mehendi and all. I shouldn't have agreed to this facade of a marriage. Should i talk to virat about it, but this virat also seems to be in a completely different zone. I want to get married to someone i love and virat is not that someone. And for him also I'm definitely not that someone, i can see it in his eyes, he still loves her and he'll always love her )

Virat pov ( Whatever happens, this time I'm not going to let her go. Amu is mine and she will always be mine no matter what. If bebe wouldn't have put that condition of getting me and nimmi married on the same day then things would have been different. And now Anu thinks I'm a cheat because I'm trying to cheat on charu. Everything is already so complicated and now this, i feel like my head will burst.

Virat's thought comes to a halt as he sees Amu nearing him.Virat was smiling like crazy seeing her come near him but it didn't last long as she went and sat beside nimmi completely ignoring Virat.

Virat sighed ( This was not going to be easy,well this is how it always has been.Amu was a tough nut to crack and that is what attracted him the most in her )

Nimmi : Amu come you pick a design for your mehendi

Charu : Haan amruta come here, my mehendi artist will put mehendi for you. I'm anyways done. Isse jyada mujhse nahi ho payega

Everyone chuckle hearing her and they get busy in selecting the mehendi designs for amu.

Amu : This one will be perfect.

Nimmi : Wow amu your choice is still the same haan, Elegant & Classy

Amu : Thanks for the compliment but don't forget it's your marriage and your mehendi should be the best so let me select for you too.

Nimmi : By all means my baby

Virat : Areyy best to mai hu aur meri choice ( eyeing at Amu ) So i will select for my sister

Amu : No,you will not. I will select mehendi design for my best friend

Virat : Chupp ! She's my sister so I'll select

Nimmi : Bhai, stop it what do you even know about mehendi designs.Let amu select for me,i am damn sure she'll select the best for me.

Amu chuckles and smirks at Virat,he glares at both and leaves.

Virat pov ( Behen meri hai but humesha uski side leti hai huhh,let them enjoy this stupid mehendi I've better things to do. Afterall, I'm the VIRAT SINGH AHUJA. I will show these girls mehendi function mei kya hota hai )

Amu : Nimmi I can't explain how happy I am to see you get married to the love of your life.

Nimmi : Seriously, amu even i am so happy. It's like things are finally falling into place. But i wish you and bhai

Amu : Stop right there, nimmi you know na i had my reasons to go away

Nimmi : Amu it's been 7 years, and i still don't know the actual reason behind why you left. You made me promise on our friendship that I'll not ask you the reason and that is the only reason why I've been holding back.

Amu : Nimmi, he's your brother and it's better that you don't know the actual reason.

Nimmi : Amu i hope you had rightful reasons for leaving him because i have seen him suffering without you.

Amu : Nimmi let's not talk about it and spoil your day. Virat aur mere bich ab kuch nahi hai aur jo tha shayad wo bhi kabhi nahi hona chahiye tha.

Nimmi : But atleast talk to him once and

Amu : No if's and but's. We will not discuss the past anymore, Okay ?

Virat ( speaking on a mic ): Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to my prettiest sister's mehendi ceremony. Ab hum dilli wale aa hi gaye hai toh dance toh banta hai. DJ play

( Tenu le k mai jawanga ) starts playing.

Shaky : Nimmi chal na let's dance.

Nimmi : Shaky yaar I've put mehendi on my foot also. How can i dance ? Amu you go and enjoy the dance

Shaky : Haan amu meri wali nahi chalegi toh kya, Sali bhi toh adhi gharwali hoti hai

Virat : Excuse me, she's mine

Amu : What

Virat : I mean you're my dance partner, bhul gayi kya kuch mahino mei i mean 7 saal mei

Amu : I will not dance with you, come shaky let's go

Virat : Haan haan waise bhi mumbai wale don't stand a chance against Delhi walo ka dance

Amu : Oh really ? I think your memory needs a reboost, did you forget that i won the dance competition in the college fest and this dilli ka munda lost the competition.

Virat : Ohh madam, that was some 10 years ago . Now, i can easily win against you.

Amu : Let's see you do that

Virat ( forwards his hands ): So Mumbai wali, dekhte kaun better hai

Virat and Amu start dancing on Tainu le k mai jawanga. Somewhere between the dance amu had forgotten everything and they both were dancing their hearts out.

For virat it was like a dream come true, never had he ever thought that they'd be together again and here she was dancing with him forgetting everything. 

As the song track changed both Virat and Amruta got lost in each other's eyes.

Both were dancing so close to each other getting lost in the heights of passion that none of them realised how close they were, when suddenly amu was pulled by someone.

Amu was shocked to see the person as she hadn't expected him to be here. While, Virat was fuming on that someone for having ruined such a beautiful moment between him and amu.

Who is this someone ?
