11pm

JK: "Sorry for ruining your night with that out-of-nowhere meltdown."

Jae: "You don't have to be sorry, it happens. And it seems like you were on the verge of it from everything you told me tonight. I would too if my dad threw at me he was getting married AND moving all at once with no warning. "

JK: "I think he's just so desperate to have a "normal" life again, so that's the reason why he is rush things. Though living with Jina, and Taehyung especially, will never be normal."

Jae: "I know I was younger when I seen Hojin last, but I never remembered him to be so...uncaring."

JK: "What do you mean?"

Jae: "He didn't care about getting your side of things, he just did it. Didn't ask you if you were ok with moving, the marriage...hell getting married on your birthday? What the hell was he thinking?"

Jungkook shrugged his shoulders, says, "Desperate to get everything done as quick as possible I guess. I do wish I would have told him how I felt, but I was so worried about getting in the way of his happiness."

Jae: "Your niceness is going to bite you in the ass someday."

Jungkook says through a chuckle, "It already has."

*Ring*

Jungkook look down at his phone, says, "Speaking of my dad..." He looks at the time and jumps up, says, "Shit! I have to go. I didn't realize what time it was."

Jae: "I'll walk you home."

...

When Jungkook and Jae arrived at Jungkook's, the two gave each other a hug and said goodbye. After Jae walked off, Jungkook let out a sigh and unlock/opened the front door. When he walked in, an angry Hojin was standing with his arms crossed in the middle of the living room.

HJ: "Jeon Jungkook! Where were you and why didn't you answer my call??"

JK: "Sorry dad. I was out with a friend and I guess I didn't notice your call."

HJ: "You know how much I worry about you. The first thing you should have done was to call me and tell me you were leaving. And then to not even answer your phone??"

JK: "To be fair, I'm basically 17 now...I shouldn't have to tell you everything I am doing."

HJ: "A mature 17 year old would have told their father where they were going. Especially if they are going to be out late."

JK: "It's only 11:30. You act like I didn't come home until 3:00am."

HJ: "It wouldn't have mattered if you came home at 8, I still would have been mad. You're supposed to tell me."

Jungkook groaned, says, "Well, nothing happened to me ok?"

HJ: "Maybe not this time."

JK: "You worry too much. Like I've said before, nothing is going to happen to me."

Hojin dropped his arms to the sides, says, "Yeah well...that's what your mother said before she left that night."

The two stood there in silence for several seconds before Jungkook says, "You didn't have to bring her into this." As Jungkook was walking towards the stairs, Hojin says, "Apparently I did because you seem to think nothing can possible happen to you."

Jungkook stopped midway up the stairs, says, "What's going to happen then? I'm gonna get robbed? Kidnapped? Believe me, if anyone tried rob me they would quickly find out I have nothing to offer them. And as for kidnapping...really? Who would kidnap me?"

HJ: "All I ask is that you call first...is that so hard?"

JK: "Maybe I don't want you to know where I am. Ever think about that?"

HJ: "What has gotten into you?"

JK: "You want to know what has gotten into me...? Take a look around."

Hojin stood there, looking around the living room at the bare walls and boxes that were stacked, ready to be moving. He says, "I thought you were ok with this, Jungkook."

JK: "Of course I'm not ok with this! I was just an idiot and lied that I was. And now look...it's too late."

HJ: "I don't understand...you made it seem like you were happy for all of this."

JK: "Well I'm not. The truth is, every night since you told me, I've been feeling sick just thinking about all of this."

HJ: "Why didn't you tell me this before??"

JK: "I didn't want to hurt you."

HJ: "I can't believe you waited until now to tell me.."

JK: "I can't believe I waited either."He continues with a groan, "Why do I have to be so soft?"

HJ: "Because that's you Jungkook. If you didn't have a soft heart, you wouldn't be you."

JK: "Well I wish I wasn't me then. I hate having this stupid heart."

HJ: "Don't say that Jungkook."

JK: "It's true." He let's out a sigh, continues, "I'm just gonna go to bed.." He hurry up the stairs.

Hojin calls out, "Jungkook..! Come back, let's talk about this!" Jungkook ignored him and went to his room.
...
Seeing his room practically empty with just a few boxes made Jungkook's heart sting, he thinks, "How could he do this to me...? No, how could he do this to us. He has more memories living in this house than I do. How could he just throwing them away like this?" He laid down and started feeling a panic attack come on.

The place he ran to when he was feeling upset, the place him and his friends would hang out on their days off of school, the place his mother sat with him when he needed her company...it was soon going to be someone else's. And the reality of that was a bit too much for him.

He closed his eyes, trying to calm himself down by remembering when his mother used to sing to him. He laid there, imagining that she was sitting next to him on the bed, singing to him with her beautiful voice. He always knew if she sang to him, all his worries would go away.

Jungkook says to himself, "I wish you were here mom."

He pulled the blankets over his head and wiping a small tear that had formed in the corner of his eye. He was never really good at being strong, but it proved to be impossible whenever he thought of her, no matter how hard he tried.

He felt a bit guilty for saying what he did to Hojin, but he couldn't help it. The stress had just finally got to him.
...
Morning

Yoongi whispers really quietly, "Do you think he's dreaming? "

Tae: "I don't know but...he looks cute when he's sleep."

As Tae was reaching up to touch Jungkook's messy hair, Jimin smacked his hand. He whispers angrily, "Don't you dare touch him. Just because Hojin let you in, doesn't mean you can just come in here and do what you want. Jungkook is still mad at you."

Taehyung rubbed his hand where Jimin smacked him, says, "I was just going to feel how soft his hair is . That's all."

Jimin quickly looked over to Yoongi who was snickering. He says, "And what are you snickering about over there?"

YG: "Nothing it's just...your sassy-ness cracks me up."

JM: "Are you making fun of me? Because if you are, trust me...you'll wish you didn't."

YG: "No I'm not making fun of you. I think it's actually strangely kind of cute."

Jimin's face got red from embarrassment, he says, "I-idiot. Don't say stupid things like that...I'm trying to be serious."

Tae: "Jimin? Cute? Have you gone mad, Yoongi? He's a little demon..! "

JM: "Hey shut up! I'm not a demon, I'm just protecting him from vultures like you."

YG: "If you guys don't stop bickering, you're going to wake him up." Jimin and Taehyung disregard what Yoongi said and just kept bickering back and forth, getting progressively louder.

The two stopped mid sentence and looked over at Jungkook who, in a groggy state, lifted his arm up and rubbed his eyes. Jungkook slowly opened his eyes a tiny bit, trying to get them adjust to the light. When he seen that the three boys were sitting around him on the bed, his eyes shot open and he sat straight up, feeling startled.

JK: "What the..." His tone got a bit more serious when he continues, "What the hell are you guys doing in my room?? Watching me sleep??"

JM/Tae: "Uh no." | YG: "Yes."

The three got off when Jungkook shooed them off his bed. He says, "Just what I wanted to wake up to this morning...three guys staring down at me when I'm sleeping."

JM: "Sorry Jungkook. It was originally just me, but then these two jokers decided to come along."

Jungkook stands up and says to Taehyung and Yoongi, "Why are you two here then? I didn't ask for your guy's help."

YG: "I wasn't originally going to stay."

JK: "Then why are you?"

Yoongi glanced over at Jimin then quickly redirecting his focus elsewhere, says, "No reason."

Tae: "I came because I wanted to see if I could help...maybe work things out before we move today."

JK: "I wanted to enjoy my time away from you while I can."

Tae: "You don't want things to be awkward between us, do you? We're going to be stuck in the same house together...so don't you want to at least try and work things out?"

JK: "Hmm...not really. But, since you're here I guess I can put you to use." He kicked a box to Yoongi and says, "You and Jimin can pack up that shelf over there."

Tae: "What about me?"

JK: "Find something to do."

Jimin and Yoongi went over to the shelf and began emptying it. Meanwhile, Jungkook began digging through his closet and shoving things into boxes.

Jimin glanced over and noticed Taehyung was just standing there, staring at Jungkook when he was bent over. Jimin says, "Hey! Why don't you do something useful and quit standing there gawking."

Tae: "Why don't you just pay attention to what you're doing."

JM: "I have two lamps over here that I'm not afraid to hurl at you."

Tae: "I'm petrified." He lifted his hands up in a defensive position when he seen Jimin lifting up a lamp, says, "Wait. I'm sorry."

Jimin slowly lowers the lamp back down, says, "Yeah, that's what I thought." Tae rolls his eyes and sat down at the other side of the room, putting books into a boxes.

As the 4 were putting things away, Jungkook and Tae glanced over at Yoongi and Jimin who seemed like they were going to start fighting.

YG: "Look, it's you." He pointed in a magazine to a tiny dog that was snarling at a larger dog. "Small but vicious." Jimin looked over and gave Yoongi a serious look, Yoongi biting onto his lip trying to hold back a laugh. Seeing Yoongi trying to hold back caused Jimin to want to laugh as well, the two eventually just gave in and burst out laughing.

Jungkook and Tae glanced over at each other, the two secretly wishing they could be getting along as well. When they realized they were looking at each other for a bit too long, they quickly redirected their focus to what they were doing.

Jungkook stood up and looked out the window when he heard a big truck pulling into the driveway. He says, "The movers are here.."

Jimin looks around the room, says, "I think we got everything done." Yoongi put his fist out, says, "Nice teamwork." Jimin looked down at his hand then gently bumped fists with him.

Taehyung walked over next to Jungkook, wanting to start up a conversation. He says, "So...are you nervous too?"

Jungkook looked over at him and nodded, then looked back out the window. Tae reached over and placed his hand on Jungkook's back, trying to comfort him. He wasn't sure how he was going to react but he decide to at least give it a shot. Jungkook tensed up a bit, but to Tae's surprise he didn't reject it.

JM: "Ah, ah, ah. Get your hand off of him. He doesn't want you touching him...we all know where that hand has been." He went over and pushed his hand away from Jungkook's back.

Tae: "What is that supposed to mean??"

JM: "Let's just say, we know what perverts like you do alone in their room at night."

Taehyung looked down at his hand then stuck it into his pocket, feeling embarrassed.

JM: "Come on, Kookie. Let's go outside so we don't get in the way of the movers." He lead Jungkook out of the room.

Tae looked over at Yoongi who was snickering again. He says, "Shut up." As the two walked out shortly after Jungkook and Jimin, Yoongi says, "I never realized how funny Jimin was."

Tae: "Jimin can kiss my ass."

...

Jungkook and Jimin sat down on the swing chair, Yoongi and Taehyung sitting in the grass out in the front not far from them.

Jungkook laid his head on Jimin's shoulder, watching as the movers went into the house and then came out with boxes. Seeing the house being emptied was even worse than he imagined.

Jimin started rubbing his arm when he noticed Jungkook had covered his face with his hand. Jimin, says, "Shh. Everything will be ok, I promise."

JK: "I didn't think I would take it as hard as I am."

JM: "I know... I'm sad too. I spent a lot of time here as well. But, just look at it this way...you were probably going to move out after Highschool anyways."

JK: "I know, but I thought dad would always live here. It's the house him and mom chose and fixed up together."

JM: "Life hardly ever goes as expected, Jungkook. You should know this by now."

YG: "Poor Jungkook. He's taking this pretty hard."

Tae: "I know. I wish I could pick Jimin up and throw him the back of the truck so I can go over there and give Jungkook a hug."

JK: "What am I going to do about Taehyung..?"

JM: "For one, don't let him take advantage of you. He's going to try everything in his power to make it seem like he cares about your feelings. But remember, he's just trying to get into your pants. Don't let him fool you."

JK: "And what if he sneaks into my room in the middle of the night?"

JM: "Call me. I can be there in like two seconds." He raised his voice a little bit and looked direct at Taehyung to make sure he knew he was talking about him, says, "And when I get there I will whoop his ass."

Taehyung lifted his hand up and flipped Jimin off. Jimin did the same.

Tae calls out, "Do you really expect me to take you seriously with tiny, chubby fingers like that?"

Jimin leaned over and picked up a rock, hurled it at Taehyung. But, instead of hitting Taehyung, the rock hit Yoongi in the leg.

Yoongi winced and grabbed onto his leg, "Oww!!" Jimin covered his mouth and got up, hurried over to Yoongi, says, "Holy crap. That was meant for Taehyung. I'm sorry!"

YG: "You have a powerful throw.."

Jimin reached down and massage where the rock hit his knee. Yoongi looked down at his hand and couldn't help but to laugh, says, "Wow. Your fingers are small and chubby."

Jimin glared at him and stopped rubbing his knee, smacked him in the spot instead. Yoongi let's out a painful gasp, "Ouch! Geez, I'm sorry."

Jimin stands up straight and goes back over to Jungkook. Yoongi rubbed his leg and watched Jimin as he walked away. Tae noticed and says, "You've been looking at Jimin a lot today."

YG: "...so? I look at a lot of people. "

Tae: "Nevermind...but doesn't he piss you off?"

YG: "No. He's actually kind of amusing. I've never realized how unique he is."

Tae: "Unique? Don't you mean, crazy?"

YG: "He's different. I like it."

5:00pm

After sitting outside for some time, the movers finally got done loading everything up. A mover came walking out of the house, says, "Uh, I found this in the room upstairs. It was underneath one of the mattress. Who's is it?"

Jungkook gasped and jumped up when he seen what the man was holding up. He ran over and snatched his journal that was in his hand. He says, "Oh, uh. Forgot about this. Thanks."

When Jungkook walked back over, Taehyung says, "You still have that??"

JK: "Shut up. What does it matter to you?"

Jimin looked at the journal and immediately felt guilty, still having never told Jungkook that he read it that night.

HJ: "Jungkook, Taehyung!" He motioned them to go over to him.

Jungkook and Tae, followed by the other two, got up and went over to Hojin. Hojin says, "Ready? We're going to follow the movers to the new place. Taehyung, you can ride along with me since Jina is back at the house." He looks back at Jimin and Yoongi, says, "Sorry but there isn't enough space to bring you two along as well."

YG: "It's ok. I'm kind of hungry right now anyways." As soon as he said that, Jimin's stomach growled. He looks over and says, "Apparently Jimin is too."

JM: "It's fine sir. I can walk home." Jimin went over and gave Jungkook a hug, says, "Remember, everything will be fine. Just call me if you need me alright?" Jungkook nodded.

When Jimin went to walk off, Yoongi says, "Hey, uh...want to go grab something to eat with me?"

JM: "With you..?"

YG: "Yes, that's what I said.."

JM: "Only if you're paying. And it has to be pizza."

YG: "Pizza it is." Jimin waved to Jungkook and Yoongi said goodbye to Taehyung.

Hojin says while getting into the car, "Oh, Jungkook. Go shut the door to the house for me. And lock it too." He tossed him the keys.

Jungkook caught the keys and went over to the house. He was about to shut the door when he stops, and peeks his head inside.

He looked back at his dad who was busy talking to one of the movers. While Hojin was busy, he snuck back into the house and looked around at the now, completely empty living room.

Some memories started coming back to him as he looked around the house.

Flashback #1

Sunhee: "Come down , Kookie!"

JK: "No mom...I look dumb.."

Sunhee: "Come on, Mrs. Lee was kind enough to make you a costume this year. Now let me see, I've been so excited to see it!"

A 6 year old Jungkook comes walking down the stairs in a white bunny costume. Sunhee squeals and stands up, says, "Oh my goodness. You look adorable!!" She goes over and fixes the ears to stand up.

JK: "The other boys are going to make fun of me.."

Sunhee: "No they won't, Kookie." She gasps and says, "I wonder if Mrs. Lee will make Jimin a little turtle costume. The tortoise and the hare!" She run over to the phone.

Jungkook smiles sadly to himself as he walked around the house and peeked into the kitchen.

Flashback #2

Sunhee and Jungkook were mixing cookie batter when the mixer malfunction and sped up.

The two gasped when the cookie batter went flying all over the kitchen. The two looked over at each other slowly, their faces and clothes were covered in batter.

The two burst out laughing. Sunhee says, "I guess we should have stuck to buying cookies instead of making them."

Jungkook went over to the counter and ran his hand along the counter that was stained with food coloring from another time the mixer malfunctioned while they were making frosting.

Jungkook sighs and heads up to his room to take one last look. He stood in the middle of the room, staring at the spot his bed used to be in.

Flashback #3

Sunhee: "Don't cry, sweetheart."

JK: "He's so mean to me, mom. I've never even done anything to Taehyung..."

Sunhee: "I know sweetie. But you have to remember that sometimes things happen in people's lives that can change them. I'm sure he didn't mean it when he called you that."

JK: "He's a stupid jerk! I hate him! "

Sunhee: "Don't say that." She rubbed his back, says, "Do you remember what I told you?"

Jungkook sniffs and says, "...to always see the best in people.."

Sunhee: "Exactly. That boy might just be having a bad day, ok?" She wipe his tears away and says, "Maybe you should talk to him. Or better yet, why don't you make him something and give to him?"

JK: "Like what..?"

Sunhee: "You and Jimin have friendship bracelets. Why don't you make him one?"

JK: "But he isn't my friend.."

Sunhee: "Maybe you two can become friends. I'm sure he would really like one."

Jungkook nodded slowly. Sunhee says, "Now cheer up, sunshine. Everything will work out." She gives Jungkook a tight squeezes.

JK: "Do you promise?"

Sunhee: "Cross my heart."
