Nurse left from there as she could not find Manik inside his cabin. She closed the door but they stood in the same position. He deepened the kiss, time slipped from seconds to minutes. Nandini didn't realize the time but Manik savoured their first kiss.

Nandini registered what had happened when his cold hands touched her soft cheeks to get a grip on her. Neither of them tried to stop themselves. He pulled out himself as they felt breathless. She felt embarrassed and he understood the awkward feeling and made way for her to leave from there. She went to the door and turned back to see him rubbing his temples in embarrassment.

She reminisced the kiss they've shared. It was a way special for her as it is her first kiss ever. A mixed feeling of guilt and pleasure had taken her over that she completely forgot why they have even kissed. Manik gasped for breath and mentally cursed himself for such unexpected turn of events. "Oh God! What she will think about me! What was I thinking when I kissed her! How should I face her?" he thought endlessly and Nandini came there all of a sudden. He stood there without movibg an inch.

"Sir, it's an emergency, no one is there" she said in one go. "OK let's go" he took stethoscope and walked behind her. He saw a couple crying. "Doctor, this is my daughter, don't know what happened she is not responding" he said showing his daughter. "What's her name?" he asked.

"Renu" her mother said. They tried to wake her up. Manik looked at Nandini who didn't even tried waking her up. He murmured to her, "Nandini what's wrong?" he whispered. "Sir, let's shift her to the ward, I think this is not a normal case" she said. "Sister, let's shift, you please wait here" he said to them and moved in with her.

"Tell me what's it?" he asked looking at her. "Sir, I think this isn't a normal case of unconsciousness, I think she committed suicide" she said but Manik is curious to know about it. "How can you be so sure that it's a suicide case?" he asked her again.

"Look at those cuts on the wrist, they're old ones, that means she have been trying since days but she couldn't gather courage. Which college student will have these cuts?" she gasped looking at Renu.

"I don't know which college she is?" Manik joked looking at her horrified face. "Aap mere saath mazaak kar raha hai?" she widened her eyes. "No but how I'm I supposed to know that?" he asked obviously. "I guess she committed suicide because she has multiple cuts on her left wrist, also her unconsciousness is not normal we need to get her tests done" she said and looked at him. She quickly realized that she ordered him. "Go on, get the tests done then" he said casually.

"I'm sorry sir, I didn't mean to" she explained him but he cut her off. "It's okay Dr. Nandini, main utna bhi strict nahi hu" he smirked at her. He went from there and Nandini wondered what happened to him. Manik went to see Abhimanyu and remembered that Nandini has scheduled Vibha's surgery. He tried to call her.

"Ye Nandini ka phone nahi lag raha hai" he said casually looking at his phone. "Why are you calling her? Miss kar raha ho!" he teased Manik. "No, I was trying to ask her when she did schedule Vibha's surgery" he said.

"Vibha!" he asked confused. "Ha I forgot to tell you that Vibha had a non-malignant tumor so she got admitted here, we were scheduling her surgery" Manik said. "Oh then I should see her" Abhimanyu said. "You can, but both of you need rest and yeah she doesn't know about me and Alya, so don't talk about it, she might not receive it the way it is, iss baat batana uske liye acha nahi hai" Manik adviced him.

"OK, I understand" Abhimanyu sighed and Manik went from there asking him to take rest. Nandini saw him and called him. "Ha what's the matter?" he said being busy in phone. "Sir, this is very important" she stressed her words. "Ha, I'm all ears say" he said not coming out of his phone. She stayed silent until he saw at her.

"Why can't you just say it Nandini? Itna drama kyu?" he said laughing at her. "Drama! I'm not creating drama here" she said confidently. "Tell me what is that important something" he asked. "I was right, she took acetone. Luckily it was less than the lethal dose but" she paused and froze. "Dr. Nandini, what is it?" he asked keenly.

"The baby is aborted, she was pregnant, we need to take the foetus out" she said shocking him. "What! Shit yahi wajah hoga suicide attempt karne ka" he decided. "Hum uske parents ko kya bolenge" she asked confused. He put his hands on her shoulders in order to cool her down. "Look, Nandini we need to tell them everything that's the rule and they have all the rights to know about their daughter" she looked into his eyes. He said so confidently. "And you will say it" she is shocked. He left from there leaving her confused. She followed him and saw him going to Renu's ward.

She gathered all the reports and went to her parents. "Doctor, how is Renu?" her mom asked Nandini asked soon as she saw her. "Please both of you relax and be calm, this is hospital" Nandini said them. "OK, we'll be calm, why is she unconscious" her dad asked Nandini. "Please listen to me carefully, does Renu behavior is normal these days?" Nandini asked. "Yes, she is normal but sometimes she's stressed out and I think it's common for children these days" her father said.

"No, she's not, she needs your love and care do you even know that she committed suicide!" Nandini bursted out. "What?" her mom asked innocently shock. "Main jo bol rahi hu please listen to it carefully, Renu committed suicide luckily dose was not lethal but there's something you should know" she tried to explain.

"But why would she do that?" Renu's mom asked Nandini crying. "Renu is pregnant but uska abortion ho gaya we need your permission for further formalities" she said. "Kya pregnant? Kaise! You stay with her all the time but you don't about it, I can see how you raised Renu, I won't spare her" her father walked towards Renu's ward but Nandini stopped him.

"Go kill her, Issi wajhe se wo suicide karna chahthi hogi, she was scared that you might not accept her" she almost shouted to stop him. He stood still hearing Nandini. "Please give her some time and try to know what's her problem" she said calmly. She received a message from Manik and moved towards the ward.

"Hi" Manik said to Renu who looked aimlessly at the blank wall. She didn't speak anything when Manik said hi. "Kyu kiya tumne aisa? You've not only tried to kill yourself but your unborn baby too" he said and Renu looked at him in shock and cried. "I don't want this baby" she cried vulnerably. "Kya hua?" Manik asked softly.

"Abhishek, college mein mera friend. He was so handsome and rich. Every girl would die for him. He never even looked at me first but one day he started talking to me, gradually we became friends, he used to drop me home and take me to movies and all and we crossed all the lines, he said we will get married soon. I trusted him and I said I'm pregnant. He asked me to abort the baby and I was against it initially" she cried saying this. Nandini along with Renu's parents who stood out listened to her.

"Suddenly he is finding ways to avoid me, he would say that he wants some break and he needs to study I would wait for him hours but he never came. I was afraid to say mom and dad about it. I know dad will kill me and Abhishek never even met me. I don't why he was so busy and suddenly he left college and later I came to know that his father got transferred and they left Mumbai. Suicide ke alaawa mujhe kuch aur option dikhayi nahi diya" she said crying.

Manik listened to her and understood that she was trapped by Abhishek and he cleverly used her. Renu was left with no option. "So you alone decided to end your life!" he asked her. She cried silently. "Bachpan mein bahut saare galti kiya hoga humne kabhi mumma papa hope chod diya kya! This life jo tum end karne ki koshish kiya, they gave you and you have no right to end it" Nandini listened to Manik asked he said that.

"Your baby is no more Renu abortion ho gaya and now concentrate on your studies, you wanna become a medico right! It's not easy. There's a girl I know who was ready to give up anything for her career, such was her passion. Usne mujhe reject kar diya kyunki usse achi doctor banna hai. If you were born 6 or 7 years before I would have definitely married you such a beauty you are, so now don't waste your time in these Abhisheks you deserve better take rest" he said.

"Ab Aap kisse shaadi kar rahe hai doctor" she asked him. "Ab tum nahi mili tho mujhe nahi karna hai shaadi I'm fed up of eating carrot halwa" he pouted and Nandini heard what he said. She quickly opened the door and entered in. "Dr. Nandini where are the reports?" he asked her. She handed report to him.

"Good" he said. "Doctor mummy papa ko ye pata nahi chalega na" she asked innocently. "Uske permission ke bina kaise?" he said but added, "don't worry they won't scold you, see how they will support you like always" he signed Nandini to be with Renu. He went out to talk to her parents.

"I hope Dr. Nandini ne aapko sab kuch bataya" he said. "Ha doctor ab Renu kaisi hai?" her mother asked. "She'll recover as soon as possible only if you both cooperate" Manik said firmly turning towards her father. He didn't speak. "We care for our patient more than you care for your daughter" he moved out. Nandini assisted Dr. Sushma, senior gynecologist for the legal abortion procedure and informed the same to Manik.

Alya came to apologize Navya. "Alya, please we told you to be away from us, please stay away" she said without interest. "I will stay away Navya, but why are you staying away from your friends?" she asked Navya. "That's none of your business Alya" Navya got uncomfortable. "Yes, who I'm I anyway? But Navya if you were in my place you would know who I was! Sometimes I feel so lonely that I would want to end myself. Have you ever felt what it would feel like when the person you love doesn't show interest in you! I felt the same Navya, I felt Nandini Manik ke peeche padi hai" Alya said with tears.

"No Alya, Nandini was never interested in Dr. Manik. It was all over when she rejected the match" Navya concluded. "That's why I wanted to apologize her" Alya said. Nandini saw Navya consoling Alya.

"Oh Navya ji, you have time to console your new found friend Dr. Alya but can't speak to me, why will you speak with me anyway?" Nandini said with a tinge of sarcasm. "Nandini, aisa kuch nahi hai" Navya tried to explain but Nandini stopped her "No Dr. Navya aapko aisa hi karna chahiye tha" Nandini got angry as Navya supported Alya.

"No Nandini, you know what Alya actually came to apologize you" Navya said. "But I don't want to hear anything from her, in fact you should also stop hearing her" Nandini said firmly. "No Nandini, she isn't wrong, you're wrong this time, try and understand her situation, her feelings. She left her place to be with Manik sir here but she never got what she wanted" Navya supported Alya.

"Please mere liye tum dono fight mat karo" Alya said to Navya. "Wow Alya I must appreciate you, go on both of you I won't disturb you anymore" Nandini is disturbed and she goes to inform about Renu to Manik.

"How's her father" Manik asked Nandini. She kept quiet thinking about Navya and Alya. "Nandini, I'm asking you?" he cleared his voice. "Sir, her father didn't budge, I don't think he will ever accept it" she said. "Don't ever lose hope" he smiled seeing her but found her lost. She excused herself and went out from there. He wanted to ask her what's troubling her.

Alya came to common room to apologize Nandini for coming in between Navya and Nandini. "Alya tumne jo bhi kiya sahi nahi kiya and I will never forget it" Nandini fumed in anger seeing Alya again. Manik came there searching for Nandini. Alya tried to get hold of Nandini when she stood up to leave.

"Leave my hand" Nandini freed herself forcefully and in the process Alya lost her balance and fell back. "Alya" Nandini realized that she actually pushed Alya.
