Manik couldn't sleep all night and decided to apologize her anyway. "Kya karu usse sorry bol ne ke liye, will she accept my apology? Her friends couldn't face her and she denied their apology too. Mera kya hoga? But wo log bola tho tha, I should also say it na, I will gift her something and say sorry, Manik it's gonna be simple, don't worry you can do it" he said to himself and got ready for the hospital. He kept waiting for her at the hospital. He got a bouquet for her. She came in his cabin.

"Good morning sir" she warmly smiled at him. "Good morning Nandini" he didn't expect her to be normal again so fast. "Vibha is getting discharged today, here are the discharge sheet, please sign it" she forwarded the papers to him. He saw that she looked at the bouquet on his table and returned the papers to him. "Nandini, this is for you" he took the bouquet and gave it to her. "Why?" she asked confused. "I'm sorry for whatever had happened lets forget everything please" he said smiling keeping the bouquet in her hand. He didn't expect her next move. She threw the bouquet from her hand. "I came here to inform about Vibha's discharge because that's my duty and I'm not here to entertain you. What are we? we aren't even friends right. I'm tired and sick of all this. Aage se I expect only professional relation between us" she said and left from there. Manik was shocked to see her new side.

Nandini continued with her work. Navya, Cabir and Aryaman tried to talk to her but she seemed to have no interest in talking with anyone other than work. Ishitha comes to hospital after Raman and Abhimanyu knew that she's been diagnosed with leukemia. Abhimanyu asked her to get the preliminary tests done. She agrees to get tested as Raman asked for it. She is diagnosed with stage 2 leukemia. "Sir, its already stage 2, bone marrow transplantation can help at this time" Abhimanyu suggested. "In that case, we can test Ruhi for transplant, Ishitha doesn't have siblings" Raman informed Abhimanyu. "We need to do it before it goes out of our hands" Abhimanyu said. "But Raman, Ruhi abhi choti hai she can't take all this" Ishitha worried about Ruhi. "Ishitha, main hu na, I will take care of Ruhi well, please don't worry" Raman said to Ishitha. "Yes ma'am, don't worry we're here" Abhimanyu also assures her. Raman says he will bring Ruhi for the test, the next day.

Manik goes to see Alya. "Manik, did you inform di about me? Actually, I lost my phone. Can I make an call to di?" Alya asked for his phone and Manik suddenly panicked. "No, she will worry about you. Mom signed as a guardian to you, I didn't inform her. You also take rest, I will get a new phone for you" Manik said. Cabir came there just then. "Hi sir" Cabir greeted him. "By the way Alya, Cabir is here with you, he is your doctor now" Manik said to Alya. "Thank you Cabir" Alya thanked him.

"I'm sorry for everything Cabir" Alya apologized him. "Aur kitne baar bologi Alya" he laughed and she joined him too. "Aise hi haste rehna, I've got work so I'm leaving, take care bye" he left from there. Navya and Aryaman tried to talk to Nandini during lunch. She sat at a different table. "Where's Cabir?" Navya asked Aryaman. "He is with Alya on duty, uske saath jokes maar raha hoga" Aryaman said looking at Nandini. She could hear them talking from a distance. "Hello, mere bina khaana na na" Cabir joined them. "Alya kaisi hai?" Navya asked. "She's getting better each day" he said. They talke about Alya for a few minutes and Nandini finished her lunch and came near them. "You think I will be jealous or sad hearing about Alya? If you think so, you are highly mistaken, mujhe Alya se koi dushmani nahi hai, tum logon se bhi nahi. It's not that I'm angry with you, but I don't want to depend on you guys anymore. I will try to be independent that's it" she left from there. "Yaar ye Nandini kyu maan nahi rahi hai, I agree we are mistaken but uske kaise manaye ye samaj hi nahi aa raha" Cabir said. "She is deeply hurt this time" Aryaman said.

Manik went home early as he plans his mother's birthday. "Tum itni jaldi ghar aa gaye" Nyonika is surprised. "Yes, its all about you today and tomorrow" he said hugging her. "Thank you, I love you" she hugged him too. "Mom chalo shopping karte hai na" he asked. "No, I've already shopped with Nandini I told you already" she reminded. "Oh yeah, I completely forgot" he said rubbing his temple. "Acha hua, Nandini is out of this case, her birthday is also tomorrow" he remembered something and goes upstairs. "I don't know what you'll do, but I need it by tonight, jo bhi samjho yaar, order samjho ya request by I want it" he talked over the phone. "I hope this will work with Nandini" he said to himself and cooked meal for his mom.

Aryaman went to the reception to take Sanjana's reports. "Excuse me, are they really Sanjana's reports?" he asked the receptionist not believing what he had just seen. "Any problem Dr. Aryaman?" Dr. Mukti who heard him asked. "Ma'am ye log galti se Sanjana ke reports misplace kar diya hai" he said. "Let me see" she took the reports and saw them. "No Aryaman, they are her reports" she confirmed. "But ma'am" he had an exclamation on his face. "Yes, she has an atrial septal defect, hole in her heart" Aryaman felt bad for Sanjana. "I can't believe that she is facing this issue" Aryaman said. "Life main kuch bhi hum predict nahi kar sakte Aryaman, go ahead" she said and left.

Nandini went home and her chachi comes there. "Nandu, dekho tere liye kya laya maine?" she said excited. "New dress? Wow chachi, its nice" she wondered. "But I have shift tomorrow" she remembered. "You should have taken leave" Chachi suggested. "Koi nahi, evening hum celebrate karenge" Nandini had dinner with her chacha and chachi. Raman called Ishitha and asked about her well-being. "Raman, does Ruhi have to come there for sure? I mean I can't take risk with her, agar Mukti dekh liya tho" Ishitha worried. "Now you are important to me than everyone else, stop worrying for our daughters, I'm here to take care of them" Raman assured. "Hope we had a normal family Raman, I miss those moments with our daughters, their funny banters, you supporting them when I scold" Ishitha said. "You will never scold them, you are such a good mom and main hu na Ravan Kumar" he added. "No, we would have been the best parents for them" she said. "Lets just hope ki one day we will have a normal family" they reminisced their past. Raman is determined to save Ishitha and he knew nothing can take her away from him.

"What nahi aayega ka matlab kya hai? I told you na that I need to get the parcel delivered by tonight? Why is it delayed?" Manik shouted in a low voice. "No, I don't want any excuses and please kal time pe deliver kar dena, its important" he said and cut the call. "Oh God, kash kal sab acha ho jaye" he hoped.

"Shh! aap shor mat karna, wo 12 bajne se Pehle hi uth jayegi" her chachi cautioned chacha. "Mein nahi tum usse uthaogi" he complained. "Ok hum dono aise jagadne se wo uth jayegi, hum chup chap sab kuch karenge" they came to a deal and baked a cake together. "Tumhe yaad hai kya, when Nandu was a child, she always used to ask for a toy-doctor set, and look at her she is a doctor now, time just flied" he said.

"Ha, Jab bhai and bhabhi died, she is broken and thank god, she is back" he added, "Kaash isliye Ayyappa ne hum ko bachche nahi diya, taaki hum Nandu ke dekh baal kar sakte hai" he said. "Kisne kaha ki Nandu humari bachchi nahi hai, wo hume chacha chachi bulati hai, but I hear her calling Amma Appa" she smiled and he hugged her. "Murthy ji, you are spoiling my dress with the cake batter" she almost shouted.

"Ayyo, please don't freak out. Bas iss saal, humari Nandu ke liye ek acha groom mil jaye, this is my birthday wish for her" he said. "Humari Nandini, abhi choti hai na, kya jaldi hai shaadi ke liye" she asked. "I know I had become selfish, if she is married to a Mumbaikar she will not go anywhere from here, she will always be with us, if we are late, she will fly to some country for further studies" he said. "I can never understand your stupidity aap Pehle cake bake kijiyega" they worked on the cake.

Aryaman is on night shift and attended to Sanjana. She is as usual missing from her room. He went on to check on her. "Sanju, wait" he shouted when he saw her in the corridor. "Shh! Why are you shouting? This is a hospital, remember?" she asked him. "O janeman, I couldn't wait to reach you after I realize how much you love me! I love you too" he sat on his knees. "Excuse me!" she said. "Tumhi ne kaha na that you love me and so I love you too" he said and leaned against her to kiss.

"Oh hello, mein Mazak kar rahi thi" she said. "Kyu naraz ho gayi meri baby mujhse?" he made a puppy face and leaned on her shoulder for support. "No, leave me" she said. "I will leave you, but on one condition" he stopped and this added to her curiosity. "What?" she asked with her eyes wide open. "A kiss" he pouted. She thought for a while and said, "Ok then, but on one condition, he said" this shocked Aryaman.

"You are ready to kiss me?" he asked. "Yes, only if you take me out" she asked. "No ways, I will be fired, you are trustee of the hospital and on the top of that, you have a hole in your heart, I can't risk your life along with mine too" he blabbered and then realized what he said. "I'm sorry" he said narrowing his eyes. "It's okay, by the way nurse said to me that you know about my health condition but thank you so much" she said with a grin. "Thank you?" he eyed at her. "Because you didn't gave me that oh-so-pathetic look that everyone used to give me."

"But you decided to screw my life na, you just asked me to take out" he said. "Ek ladki tumhe aadi raat ko bahar bolne ko kaha and you're scared" she said carelessly. "Now you're giving me that oh-so-pathetic looks" they laughed. Chacha and chachi had woken up Nandini with their constant banters. "Aap dono ab kyu jagad rahe ho" they turned to Nandini unaware that she heard them. "Kuch nahi, aise hi" chachi smiled embarrassed and she signed to Murthy ji and showed the clock. There are only 2 minutes left for the clock to strike 12. "Aise hi jagde?" Nandini wondered.

"We were talking about..." her chachi murmured. "About?" Nandini enquired. "About your wedding" her chacha interfered. "Oh please, not again" she said exhausted. "Chup ho jayiye aap, uska mood karab mat karna" she hugged Nandini. Clock struck 12 and chacha got the cake and chachi hugged Nandini so close that she couldn't see anything.

"Surprise!" they squealed in joy, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY NANDINI." "Thank you, ye cake tumne bake kiya" she asked them. "Yes, we both, together" she hugged them and thanked them. "Chalo cut the cake, birthday girl" Nandini took the knife and they asked her to make a wish. They also closed their eyes at to make a wish for her. "What did you wish for me?" she asked them excited. "Yahi ki bhagavan tumhe lambi umar de" her chachi said, "and you get the most handsome husband ever" chacha added.

She narrowed her eyes at them but smiled and cut the cake. "What did you wish for yourself Nandu?" they asked. "That I should be a good doctor as Amma and Appa always wanted for their girl" they caressed her and they retired to bed. Manik also took a cake for his mom and went to her room. He knew his mom would be on a video call with his dad so he took his time not to disturb them. He knocked and entered the room. "Agar love birds ka call khatam ho jaye tho hum cake cut kare" he joked. "Happy birthday Mom" he hugged her. Nyonika thanked and cut the cake. Manik again tried calling someone but he ended up having no reply from them.

Nandini went to hospital and receptionist said that Mukti called her, she went to meet Mukti. "Good morning ma'am" she wished. She hoped that at least this day will be a normal day unlike the other days. "Nandini, tumhara dhyan kidar tha?" she asked. "Ayyappa! Nandini, get ready to gear up for a new day" she sighed and prayed to God in her heart. "What happened ma'am? Is anything wrong?" she asked. "Wrong! Tum khud jaake dekho, pediatric ward, go now" Mukti seemed to be super irritated. Nandini left. "Ab kya kar liya maine?" she thought and saw Manik there.

Manik wanted to wish her and went near her. "Nahi, gift de ke wish karunga usse" he thought and when she came closer he moved back and went in opposite direction. She wondered and felt strange of Manik. Finally Manik is relieved as his parcel is received. He took it and wrote her name on it. He heard an announcement from Dr. Shrivastav and hurrily kept the parcel at the reception desk and went.

Nandini went to pediatric ward and was dark. As she turned around, she heard a balloon blast and she got showered with color papers. The lights were on and she saw the pediatric ward well decorated with the children birthday party theme. "Happy Birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you dear Nandini" she turned towards the door as she heard the birthday song. She saw Mukti, Navya, Cabir and Aryaman. Dr. Shrivastav came then. Abhimanyu had come and got Alya to come there. Other staff also followed them. The children also sang birthday song for them and asked her to close eyes. She closed and opened when they asked her to do so. Children stood in an order and held cards which read HAPPY BIRTHDAY NANDINI. Manik was the last to enter the room. It took few seconds to register that it wasn't a formal announcement to come to pediatric ward. He thought he should have get his gift. Nandini was overwhelmed to see them. She had cut the cake amidst everyone. Her friends applied cake to her face and she squealed in joy. Nothing could come between them and she has forgot all her inhibitions. "Happy birthday Nandini" Mukti said. "I was really sorry for what had happened and this is the least I could do for you" she said. "Ye humara lady Bheem hi hai na?" Cabir wondered and whispered to Aryaman.

Manik couldn't get a chance to wish her. Alya came there and wished Nandini. "Happy Birthday Nandini" she said and Nandini hugged Alya, she hugged back. "Party dena mat bhoolna Nandini" Abhimanyu reminded her. "Sure" she said. Dr. Shrivastav also wished her and asked everyone to get back to the work. Other staff also wished her while going. Manik got a phone call and he couldn't talk to her.

He went back to the reception to take the gift and Alas! The gift is missing....
