Mukti and Ishitha are to be discharged by the evening. "Abhimanyu, I think you also should go home, tum bhi humare saath yahi reh gaya. You need rest" Raman said. "No sir, I'll take leave when needed, you and Mukti will not be here. Manik will also be alone here, I can manage here" Abhi says and Raman agrees. "Abhimanyu, you should have taken leave" Mukti said after Raman leaving. "Then your juniors will be left all alone with Manik" Abhi teases Mukti. "Don't worry, they wont trouble their seniors anymore and I will come back soon" Mukti replied him. "No, don't do that, have proper rest" Abhi said signing her discharge sheets. Raman takes Ishitha and Mukti home. "Dad, hum idhar kaha jaa rahe hai?" Mukti asked Raman. "Ishitha ko ghar chod raha hu Mukti, then we will go home" Raman said driving. "Stop the car dad!" Mukti said. He stopped the car and looked at her. "Why are we still going to live separately? I want to live with both of you, I want you, mom, me and Ruhi to be together" she said.

"But Mukti.." Mukti interrupted Ishitha. "Maa, please I don't want Ruhi live a life that I lead in my childhood, atleast Ruhi ke liye" Mukti asked Ishitha. "Jaisi maa vaisi beti" Raman murmured. "Kya bola Raman?" Ishitha asked. "See Mukti, I have already asked her but she denied and now you told her she agreed, and now see she is even scaring me" Raman acted as if he is scared. They all smiled whole hearted and reached home. Mukti helped Ishitha in settling at home and asked Ruhi to stay in her room. Ishitha and Raman are happy to see their daughters.

Navya's father had been stable and Cabir informed the same to Manik. "That's good" Manik said to Cabir and Navya barged in. "Sir, Cabir" she said panting. "Navya, is everything alright?" Manik asked her. "Papa ko hosh aaya" she said and they ran to him. They saw him looking at them. "Papa, kaise hai aap?" Navya asked him. "Beta Navya, main theek hu, I'm glad that you have forgave me" he said and Navya had tears in her eyes. "Sir, please take rest, you should rest now" Manik said. "No doctor, I have Dr. Navya by my side and she will not let anything happen to me" he said proudly. "Phir bhi, you should take rest and Navya will be here to look after you" Manik tried to convince him to get treated. "Navya, maa kaha hai beta? She must be feeling sad to look at me in this condition" he said.

Navya didn't understand what to say when her father kept asking about her mother. "Maa, mandir gayi hai, puja karne ke liye" she lied to him. "Acha, she is innocent Navya. She doesn't know that only doctor can save me but she went to god to pray for me" he said and Navya couldn't control her tears hearing her father. "Navya beta, kyu ro rahi ho? Kuch hua?" he asked. "No sir, she is sad because you were not stable all these days" Cabir tried to cover her up. "No Navya, please don't cry" he said and Manik asked him to take rest. Navya gave an injection and they came out. "Acha hua Navya, tumne kuch nahi bola, he isn't ready for the news now, we'll tell him slowly" Navya nodded and Manik left from there.

Nandini is about sign off for the day and saw few people. "Doctor, inhe please bacha lijiye, accident hua hai" she saw a man dripping with blood. She checked him with her stethoscope and checked her pulse. Stella, the head nurse came there, "Dr. Nandini, iss waqt sirf Dr. Manik and Dr. Abhimanyu hai yaha, you should take care until they come here" Stella asked ward boy to call one of them. Nandini panics seeing many people there. "Ye shehar ki mahshoor politician hai Dr. Nandini and please don't panic, Dr. Mukti aise cases mein shock deti thi" Stella soon gets the apparatus. "Ok" Nandini gets ready to shock him. "Doctor, shock him between 100 and 200, not beyond that" Stella said.

"Ok ready, shocking 100" Nandini shocks him. "Flat line doctor" Stella read it on monitor. "Get ready again, shocking 200" Nandini shocked him again and saw a flatline again. "What's the non-sense here, your doctors seem to learn treating here on him" someone from the crowd accused Nandini as she hesitated to shock him. "Dekhiye sir, patient is already dead, doctor ye check rahi hai ki is by chance he is alive" Stella said them. "Wah, firstly you act like you are treating already dead man and then you'll say he is dead, this is your daily business" they accused.

"See, we don't do business, he was already dead" Nandini said but none of them listened to her. They started chaos and breaking the things around them causing trouble to other patients. Nandini and Stella tried to explain them. Someone threw a stone at Nandini and Manik just came there. Nandini just missed and it hit Manik. "Pagal ho gayi ho? Kya kar rahi ho? Couldn't you handle it?" Manik asked but Nandini just saw him bleeding on forehead. Manik ordered everyone to go inside and stopped the mob of people. "Agar patient mar gaya toh humara mistake nahi hai, I will call police and I know how to shut you up" Manik threatened them and could stop them with the help of ward boys. Manik shouted on both Stella and Nandini for entertaining those people. He dismissed everyone from there.

Nandini still followed him to talk. "You should seriously learn self defense Nandini" he suggested. "Manik stop talking, you are bleeding" she said in horror. She pointed to his apron which is stained with blood. She took him to get first-aid and took an injection. "Nandini, kya kar rahi ho? That injection makes me drowsy" he said. "Nandini, kya kar rahi ho? Pagal ho gayi ho? iske Alawa kuch bolte hi nahi hai aap, I know it makes you drowsy but don't you give it to your patient" Manik said. "Now I'm your doctor and you should listen to me" she ordered him. "Listen, I can't drive if I take this injection" Manik said. "Then who said you are driving anyway?" she said simply. "Then you are driving?" he asked Nandini.

"No, I don't know how to drive, we can hire a cab" she said. "So you're coming with me" he confirmed with her. "Yes, I would, how would I leave you all alone?" she said. Their cab arrived and they got in. Manik felt sleepy but couldn't sleep with his head back. "You want to sleep?" she asked seeing him trying to find a comfortable sleep position. "Yeah but" he didn't complete his sentence but she signed him to sleep on her shoulder. He hesitantly put his head on her shoulder and she rolled down the car window. Cool breeze touched his face and a smile formed on his lips. He faintly heard a song being played on the FM Radio in the cab.

"Manik" he felt someone tapped on his shoulder and he opened eyes to find himself on Nandini's shoulder. "Manik, we're at your home, get up" she gently patted him but he instantly closed his eyes. "Kaash iss journey kabhi end na ho" he whispered. "Are you feeling better?" she checked if he had got fever as he closed his eyes. "Should I call aunty here?" she asked him and he sat up quickly surprising her. "God! I forgot mom won't be home now, she said she is going out for her friend's anniversary party" he remembered Nyonika said him when he called her last time. "Don't worry, first we will go inside, come" they went and saw Siddharth sitting in the living room.

"Nandini, you here?" he asked her. "Yeah, Manik ko chot laga tha, he couldn't drive due to medicine effect, so I accompanied him" she said. "When did aunty leave?" she asked Siddharth. "No I don't know when she did left but she called me and said where she kept the keys, I was out for some work" he said. "Manik ko kya hua? how is he injured by the way?" Siddharth asked her. "That's a big story I will tell you later" she said and went to kitchen. Manik sat there and felt drowsy. Nandini soon came out with a glass of milk with turmeric in it.

"Nandini, you said you will be my doctor I said OK, but why are you being my mom now?" Manik asked her. "I don't know but if aunty yaha hoti tho yahi karti thi, please have this and go to bed" she forcefully makes him drink it and he leaves to his room. "Chalo Nandini, I will drop you home" Siddharth offered to drive her back home. Manik heard Siddharth saying it. "No, its not late, I can go by cab" she denied him but he forced her. Manik suddenly came down from his room. "Siddharth, I think we should go and get mom here, my car is in hospital so will you please come along with me to get her, and on the way we can drop Nandini too, you know mom hoti tho she would have sent me along with Nandini" Manik said.

"If aunty yaha hoti tho, she would have asked you to rest and I would have dropped her home Manik, aunty will come back soon and I will go and drop Nandini, you go sleep" Siddharth said. Manik didn't expect his plan would backfire and Siddharth would ask him to go and sleep. "But no, I want to see mom" Manik tried for one last time. "Bro, you're injured go get some sleep, you are already drowsy, you can call her up she will come fast" Siddharth raised his voice this time. "How can you say that Siddharth? She will get tensed up, don't call her. You don't know what aunty means to Manik, if he wants to go, you should help him, if not I will go with him" Manik is happy as Nandini didn't object him. Siddharth said he will get the car keys and Nandini followed him and asked Manik to sit there. "Siddharth, I'm sorry but aunty and Manik are so close and he can't be away from her now especially when he is not well" they came out. All of them came out and Manik ran to the car and sat in the front passenger seat.

"Manik, I think you can rest if you sit back" Siddharth said. "No, but I feel like sitting here" Manik thought this was the lamest excuse he could make in his entire life so that Nandini and Siddharth wont sit together. Nandini sat back and Siddharth ignited the engine. Throughout the journey, whenever Nandini and Siddharth tried to make conversations, Manik would however interrupt and make things worse for Siddharth. "Nandini, left from here right?" Siddharth asked as he navigated her address. "No, its right" Manik said. "Nahi Manik, yaha se left" Nandini said.

"But the way is closed now, you need to take right and Siddharth yaha sirf navigation se kaam nahi chalega, her address is quite confusing" Manik guided Siddharth and reached Nandini's place. "Nandini, Manik knows your place much better than you" Siddharth smiled. "I never knew that he did. I just sleep on my way back home" Nandini smiles back. They went in and greeted chacha and chachi. Nandini goes to change her dress and comes back. She sees her chacha and chachi talking to Manik about the chaos in the hospital and Siddharth being busy on a call.

"Nandu, agar aaj Manik waha nahi hota tho kya hota tha? You should have learned self defense" her chachi said. "Thank you so much Manik you saved her today" Siddharth listened to Nandini's chachi saying and learnt about the hospital incident. He asked Nandini to be careful. Manik said they will leave to get his mom from the party. Nandini went near Manik, "Are you feeling better now?" she asked him. "Nandini, this is the 45th time you are asking me this, I'm fine, I'm okay don't worry, sleep now" Manik said. Siddharth and Manik went to the car. "Ab batao, kaha jaana hai" Siddharth asked.

"Just drive in the same way as we came here, we should go home soon, mom is coming home" Manik said and Siddharth is left speechless.
