Mukti came out of the room and everyone waited for her. "Thank God Navya's blood matched with Nandini, Aryaman get the blood transfused quickly" she said and Aryaman, Navya went from there. "Abhimanyu, please get Manik out of here, koi isse aise dekh liya tho! Especially Dr. Aditya! We can't trust him" Mukti panicked. He dragged Mukti to another room. "Abhimanyu leave me, have you gone mad" she asked him. "That's what I exactly wanted to ask you, why did you lie with everyone outside?" he asked her.

"Then what do you want me to do? Navya said that her parents were not even in the city to contact them, we can't call them now. It's one amongst us who is craving for her life and I can't take it for granted" she said. "Uske parents ko nahi bata rahe hai but why are we lying to ourselves" Abhimanyu asked. "Because I didn't had the courage to say the truth, Manik ko bhi yeh pata hai, he didn't enter inside as he too was scared" Mukti said.

"Aisa kya hua Nandini ko?" Cabir who overheard them asked her. Mukti was speechless at his question. "Cabir wo kuch nahi hai" Abhimanyu tried to convince him but Cabir didn't budge. "Please tell me about her please ma'am I beg you" Cabir asked her. "Nandini's blood is not clotting, uske liye ek surgery karna hai" Mukti said. "So please do it urgently, uske chacha chachi yaha nahi hai and we can't take the risk by waiting for them" Cabir said.

"That's not easy Cabir" Abhimanyu said. "Do you remember Nihal? The kid who died in our hospital after we had experimented a new surgery, it's the same case with Nandini now" she said. "But Nandini ko koi tumor nahi hai, it was just an accident like all others we deal with" Cabir said being optimistic. "No Cabir, I thought the same, on our way also Manik tried to stop the blood loss and he tried to talk to her. We thought he was successful in keeping her awake but here we saw bleeding from her ears as well. You know how is it right? The chances of success are rare" Mukti explained him.

"But you said Nihal was too young to take all that but Nandini isn't a kid, we can operate on her so please continue ma'am" Cabir pleaded her. "Yes, it's not like Nandini will die if the surgery fails but I'm scared that she will slip into coma" Mukti expressed her fear. "And I can't do this alone, I have never done this. I need Manik's help as a Dean and as a neurologist too. Ab Manik kisi se baat tak nahi kar raha hai" Mukti said.

"No we can't involve him Mukti, he isn't capable of doing it now, that too without her parents consent and no official order from Dean" Abhimanyu worried. "Par hum aise haath pe haath rakh kar bhi nahi baith sakte hai" Cabir said. "Yes Mukti, we should do something faster" Abhimanyu said.

"Manik, please mere baat suno, Nandini ki condition ab theek nahi hai, you must take the charge now" Abhimanyu told Manik. He didn't answer. "For how long you will sit like this Manik, Nandini will die if you don't help her" Abhimanyu said as he was irritated with Manik being silent since he came to hospital. Manik slapped him hard as he heard Abhimanyu. "Manik!" he was shocked to core.

"I'm, I'm so sorry" Abhimanyu was quick to apologize. Manik hugged him and cried like a baby. "Nandini! I love her so much Abhi, I don't want to lose her please save her" Manik said as he joined hands to save her. "It's in your hands Manik, Mukti is seeing her, but you know how complicated the case is" Abhimanyu said. "No I don't want to kill her, I have killed Nihal with these hands but I can't" Manik was scared when he thought of her. Cabir told everyone about Nandini.

They came to seek Manik's help. "Manik, there's no other way please help us, save Nandini. Moreover you are the Dean now, tumhare presence ke bina kaise kar sakte hai hum" they asked him. "If that Aditya know about it, he will not let Manik inside" Mukti says worried. "But he doesn't know that how Manik and Nandini are related" Abhimanyu clarified her doubt. He understands that Mukti is greatly affected by Aditya and his ways.

Abhimanyu's phone rang and the screen flashed Nyonika's name. "Hello aunty" he talked to her. "Abhimanyu, are you and Manik still at Alya's party?" she asked him. He was absent minded when he answered the call. "No aunty, main hospital mein hu" he said. "Manik kaha hai Phir? Uska phone off hai" she enquired. "Aunty he is with me in the hospital, ek important surgery hai aaj" he said to her. "Will you ask Manik to talk to me now?" she asked. "No aunty, it's a long hour surgery, I will ask him to call you once he is back from OT" he lied to her. He went near Manik. "Aunty tere liye call kiya hai Manik" he said.

"Humare paas zyada waqt nahi hai, let's arrange for surgery" he said. Mukti got everything ready for surgery. Manik went to see Nandini. "Nandini, please mujhe maaf karo, I had to do this surgery there's no other option left. I know you said this is a killer idea but" Manik felt something in his throat that didn't let him speak.

"Ye sab mere wajhe se ho raha hai, agar main nahi hoti Manik Nandini kabhi alag hote hi nahi, waise tho wo log party se bahar jaate hi nahi" Alya said. "Don't blame yourself Alya, ye accident ki wajhe tum nahi ho" Aryaman said. "Har ek din hum Nandini ke saath rehte hai but we never really tried to know what's going on in her life" Navya said.

"Yes, we should have made trust us, don't know how much she had struggled and came to a decision to not let us know about them" Cabir said. "I can't see Nandini like this, she was so lively" Navya broke into tears as she could not control. "Main tho Nandini ko apna behen maantha tha" Cabir said as he consoled Navya. "I always shared everything with Nandini but never thought that she was afraid to share something with me. We should have helped her" Aryaman said emotionally. They all were worried about Nandini and couldn't afford to lose her.

"Aryaman, you're going to operate Nandini, please be careful" Navya said. "I will and I should do this to save her" Aryaman said and asked Cabir to come with him. "Kaha jaa rahe hai?" Cabir asked. "Manik ke paas" Aryaman said and takes him to Manik. They see Manik still lying in front of the ICU ward. "Kisi bhi halat main Nandini ko save karni hai sir, please get ready for surgery" he said. "Main sirf guide karunga operation tum aur Mukti hi handle karenge" he said. "But sir" Aryaman interrupted. "No discussion Aryaman, I can't do this. I tremble when I hold her" Manik admitted that he cannot perform surgery on her.

Mukti, Aryaman and Manik attended the surgery. Manik had worn mask, gloves and the OT apron. He guided them and Mukti was successful for a while. "Now administer coagulants to make the blood clot" Manik said. Mukti did as he said but Nandini's body didn't respond. She gave a heavy dose to Nandini. "Dr. Mukti, try to control her blood flow" Manik adviced her. Aryaman could not help with her blood flow and left it to Manik and Mukti.

Mukti did not know what to do then. She tried to control the blood flow and went on increasing the dose. They have finally succeeded in the surgery after 3 hours. It was already 1 am in the night and everyone waited for them to come out. Mukti and Abhimanyu came out. "We have succeeded in clotting the blood but we had to use heavy doses of coagulants, let's wait until she gets into consciousness" Mukti said. "When will she wake up ma'am?" Alya asked.

"We too don't know exactly Alya, we are done with our duty. Success and failure of the surgery tabhi pata chalega when Nandini wakes up. The danger is not over yet" Mukti said to them. "Now she can hear us, she has pulse. All we got to do is just wait for her" she said. Manik sat behind Nandini. "Nandini you said you have a surprise for me when I come back from Delhi, what was that? If I knew that was our last call I wished that should never end. I would have never left you to go to Delhi" Manik said. He spent time talking to her.

Others saw Manik talking to her. "When will Nandini be fine?" Navya asked. "Don't know, we must just wait" Aryaman said. "Hum bhi ek baar, Nandini se baat karein?" Cabir stopped them. "Yes, we will have to" Navya agreed. Aryaman, Alya, Navya and Cabir went to Nandini's ward. "Sir" they called Manik. "Even we want to talk to Nandini" Navya said.

"Nandini, I know tum hume sun rahi ho, ab tho uth jao please" Navya said with tears in her eyes. Cabir consoled her. "Navya, wo aise nahi uthegi, you know how stubborn she is! But remember we are determined to wake you up! Hum aise hi nahi chale jayenge, we won't let you chill alone here, hum yahi rahenge aur tumhe uthake hi wapas jayenge" Aryaman said. "Aur tumhara big secret! Hume pata chal gaya! Manik sir" Cabir said looking at Manik.

Nandini heard everything but she didn't respond. Everything they talked went to her ear drum. She could neither respond nor react. She laid there without any movement. "I was a one happy soul when I come to know about you and Manik. Manik sir tumhe gift dena tum unhe bracelet gift kiya, I know everything but never thought that you guys were serious about it, I don't know why you broke up but you guys look cute together" Cabir said to Nandini but Manik looked at him.

"Kya socha aapne? Aap humse chupke humare friend se pyaar kar sakte hai! Mujhe tho pehle se hi shak tha ab confirm jo hua hai, I won't let you even sleep now" Cabir told Manik as Manik burst into tears. Manik hugged Cabir. "I was there at the accident but I couldn't save her Cabir. I was so helpless ki main kuch kar nahi paya, aaj Nandini mere wajhe se" Manik regretted.

"No sir, we know how responsible you are! Aap ne tho usse hospital mein admit karwaya, please don't blame yourself" Aryaman said. "Yes Manik, you please just get up. You need rest too" Alya said on seeing Manik weak. "Yes, he needs rest" Cabir said to him but Manik was adamant. "No, I'm not going anywhere leaving Nandini alone" he said and didn't move an inch.

Days passed by but Nandini didn't react to anything. It was already a week since the accident. Chacha and chachi were anxious to talk to Nandini. Navya, Cabir, Alya and Aryaman had managed to some extent but they didn't listen. They didn't know what to do when they said they are coming back to Nandini. Manik was always there with Nandini. He didn't even go home for her. Abhimanyu had it all covered for Manik. Nyonika and Shrikant grew suspicious but Manik constantly lied to Nyonika that he will come back.

"Are you still mad at me Nandini? I'm ready to be punished the way you want but please get up. Chacha chachi tumhare liye aa rahe hai, I know how much you love them, please wake up at least for them" Manik said caressing her hairs. Mr. and Mrs. Murthy were enraged looking Manik with Nandini. "Nandu" her chachi cried seeing her lying on bed without any movement.

Her friends came there as they saw Nandini's chacha and chachi. "Humara Nandu ka accident hua aur tum log hume bataya bhi nahi! Kaise friends ho tum!" chacha asked Aryaman. "Uncle please relax, we didn't tell you because aap yaha nahi the and you'll be worried, Nandini will be fine in few days" he said. "What! She is lying there and you said she will be OK, hume tumse ye ummeed nahi tha" chachi fired on them. She cried looking at Nandini.

Manik didn't move an inch. He felt guilty and responsible for her present condition. "Aur tum yaha Dean ho na! Shayad ye log nahi jaante tumhare asliyat but hume achi tarah se pata hai! Pehle uska dil toot diya aur ab uski life. Kya galat kiya Nandini ne tumhare saath" chacha confronted him and he was silent.

"Hum Nandini ko yaha se le jayenge Murthy ji, idhar inn jaise logon ke beech nahi" she said and Manik stopped them. "No, she had a surgery and it's complicated, we can't let you take her away, chances are there that Nandini might go into coma if the surgery fails" Manik said and he earned a slap from Nandini's chachi. "How could you stoop so low? Aise hi bol rahe ho ki wo coma mein chali jayegi, I know how miserable she was when you left her. I know how many sleepless nights she spent because of you and now tum wapas aake usse Phir pareshan kar rahe ho! What wrong did we make to get you! Ab tho humara peecha chod do, get out of here" chachi shouted on Manik. Chacha went a step ahead and pushed Manik outside the ward even after Manik apologized them and begged to let him be with her. Manik didn't give up and stood out waiting for her.

"Manik, aunty tere liye wait kar rahi hai? Ek baar baat kar usse" Abhimanyu asked Manik to call him but he didn't listen. Abhimanyu tried multiple times but failed as Manik was madly saying that he needs to be with Nandini. "Jab tak aap log nahi kahenge main Nandini se nahi milunga par yaha se kabhi chale nahi jaunga" he said to them. Nyonika was done with Manik and she decided to visit him.

She didn't even inform Abhimanyu or Shrikant before going. She came to know about Manik and went directly to him. She saw him begging for Nandini. "Main sirf ek baar Nandini se milunga and I promise I won't disturb her after that" he said to chacha who disapproved him. He was about to fall on his feet when Nyonika called him. "Manik!" she said with all her might but was hardly heard by Manik. "Mom" he wondered.

"What are you doing here? Tumhe pata bhi hai ki maa tere liye wait kar rahi hai? Iss ladki ke liye tum ne mujhe chod ke chale gaye aur ab dusri baar! What has she done to you Manik, why are you doing all this?" Nyonika said as she saw Manik in his most vulnerable state. She never saw him like that ever before. She found him a new person and held Nandini responsible for Manik's condition.

"Mrs. Nyonika, we didn't ask your son to be here, he was asking us to let him be here, aap chahe tho unhe yaha se le jaayiye, hum bhi yahi chahthe hai ki ye dono dhoor rahe" chachi said. "You just heard what they've said. Abhimanyu ne mujhe bataya abhi, they don't even know that you are the one who saved her, they have no gratitude at all" she said to Manik. "Mom please don't say that. I'm responsible for Nandini's condition and I have performed surgery on her, it's my responsibility to take care of her" she said but she didn't listen. Both their parents were adamant and their love towards their children had made them talk like that. Manik had to leave from there for Nyonika.

Nyonika almost house arrested Manik so that he doesn't go out. "Mom, please let me go to Nandini, I promise I will come back soon" he pleaded her and even Shrikant tried to convince Nyonika but her motherly love for Manik didn't let her listen. On the other hand, Mukti said to Nandini's parents how hard it was to save Nandini and said about Manik. They didn't budge yet.

"Ye dono ke parents ko ho kya gaya! Why they are not understanding ki ab Nandini aur Manik ko ek dusre ka saath chahiye" Cabir said to Navya as she got coffee for him. "Hum parents hai hi aise, possessive for our children" said ChandraShekar. "Aap tho rehne dijiye uncle" Cabir said casually and it hit him hard. "I'm sorry Navya" he apologized. "Uncle I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you" Cabir said quickly. "Papa kya aap bhi" Navya said as she eyed Cabir.

"As a parent, we just want our children to be happy safe and secured. If we come to know that our children are in danger, we don't want to see or hear anything else" he said. "Nandini's parents are thinking ye sab Manik ki galti hai and his parents hold her responsible for his actions. Wo dono ek dusre se bahut pyaar kar rahe hai but yet they had to suffer because of their previous mistakes" he said.

"But papa wo dono ke breakup ho gaya already" Navya said. "Aaj ka young generation se yahi problem hai. What does breakup mean? Tumne kabhi dekha nahi main aur tumhari maa bahut jagadthe the kabhi tumhe laga ki humara break up hogaya? Every couple will have fights and that doesn't mean they broke up" he said clearly. "Uncle do you mean to say they still love each other?" Cabir asked.

"A question to a question is irrelevant I know but why do you think Nandini and Manik were together that night?" he asked Cabir. "Maybe they wanted to talk" Navya said. "Unka breakup hogaya tho kya baat karenge" ChandraShekar asked them. Navya and Cabir looked at each other and thought why did Nandini and Manik meet that day. "Agar tumne soch liya tho answer aapko already pata hai" he said. "Agar aisa hai tho" Cabir thought about it.

"Do they still love each other?" Navya asked.
