"Can I talk to you now or have you found a new excuse to not talk today" Manik couldn't answer it. "No dad, main koi excuses nahi de raha tha main sach mein busy hu" he lied conviniently. "Manik you don't even know how to lie! I know how busy can you be. Main tera baap hu and I'm a doctor too, tum busy ho sakte ho par itna bhi nahi ki tum apne mom dad se baat nahi kar paate ho" he said and Manik is caught.

"Kya baat karna hai dad? OK tell me this, I will talk to mom and will you make her talk to me?" now it's his dad turn to be silent. "Mom mujhse baat tak nahi karti hai dad" he complained. "It's already 2 months Manik since you've left her then how do you expect her to talk" he asked Manik. "Maa kaisi hai?" Manik asked him. "Theek hai" he silently answered. "Dad I'm really busy now, please I'll call you later, I promise" Manik cut the call.

"Dr. Manik, Chief had called you urgently" nurse told him to meet his Chief. "OK I'll be there" he told as he left his cabin. "Dr. Manik! Hey Good morning, I would like to ask you if you could extend help for us here, you are a gem Dr. Manik and the pride will be ours to have you here" he said and Manik is elated to hear him. "Thanks Dr. Richard, I would love to continue with you, it's really a short time but I've overwhelmed with your feedback and thank you so much" he said. "Then I will ask Dr. Shrivastav to retain you here" he said and Manik thought of his hospital.

It's been 2 months since he moved to New York. He had willingly taken up the offer which he himself turned down. Dr. Shrivastav was happy for Manik's career but always thinks that he had to leave Lifeline hospital for New York. Manik had no problem in adjusting there as he was working there before he joined Lifeline. But Nyonika was the one who suffered because of this decision of Manik. She didn't talk to him after that and Manik's dad had to retire to take care of Nyonika.

"Kaise banaya?" Navya asked as Chandra Shekar tasted Gulab jamun made by her. "Zyada meetha hai na" he asked Shekawat. "Tumko tho har baat pe kisi na kisi complain hoti hai" Saraswati whined looking at him. "It's OK next time, I'll add less sugar" Navya said disappointed. "Navya ji sirf Shekar sir ke cup mein hi sugar kam daalna hume koi diabetes nahi hai" Shekawat said. "Mujhe kya diabetes hai? Lo main ek cup aur khaunga" he said another bowl of the dessert. "Isko pataane ka trick tho sirf tum hi jaante ho" Saraswati said to Shekawat patting his back.

"Yeah yeah he always tricks me, but ye tricks entrance exam mein kaam nahi karega" Shekar said. "Uske liye bhi tricks hai sir, study tips. Dessert kaisa tha?" he asked. "So sweet just like my Navya" he said as he kissed Navya's forehead. "OK sir, I will leave for now, Saraswati madam aap aaogi kya main aapko drop karu?" he asked her. "Nahi tum Navya ko drop karo hospital, aaj uska night shift hai, I'll take a cab" she said. "Ha Navya ji aap jaldi thayyar hoke aa jaayiye" he said and Navya went in. He took his bike keys and went out to wait for her.

"Kitni der kar diya Navya tu ne? Thank God aunty ne bola ki tumhe drop karna hai warna aaj Aditya ke haath mein mar jaata tha" Cabir said pulling out his fake beard and mustache. "Cabir, you aren't taking it seriously" Navya said. "Seriously le raha hu na isliye tho Aditya ke duty mein time se pahunchna chahtha hu" he said hastily. "Wo nahi, aur kitne din aise Shekawat banke ghar aaoge? At some point of time, papa ko batana hai na" she said. "I didn't think of it Navya waise bhi entrance exam bhi 1 week mein hai and I don't know how he will react if he get to know that I won't attend it. We'll talk about it later, go now" he said.

"Nandini!" Navya called her. "Ghar jaa rahi ho?" Navya asked her. "Ha I'm waiting for Aryaman to drop me" she said. "Kuch baat hui?" Navya asked. "Nahi and I don't want to disturb her if she doesn't want to talk" Nandini said. "Aisa kya hua Nyonika aunty tumse baat nahi karna chahthi hai? Achanak Manik sir kyu New York chale gaye?" Navya wondered. "Mujhe kya pata hai Navya, aunty mujhse baat nahi karti hai and I don't know why Manik sir left, maybe that's why she is sick now" Nandini said. "Ha please Nandini you don't feel bad for her, she is fine and is recovering slowly" Navya said. "Take care of her Navya, kab discharge honewali hai?" she asked about Nyonika. "Pata nahi she is under observation yet" Navya told. "OK bye mujhe jaana hai aunty ke paas" Navya said and left.

"Hello aunty, kaisi hai aap?" Navya asked Nyonika. "I'm fine Navya" she said in low voice. "No you're not aunty you absolutely need rest" Alya said. "Ab tak maine aunty ko dinner diya agar tum dinner karke wapas aaogi tho main yahi wait karungi" Alya said to Navya. "Actually yeah, I didn't eat yet, thanks Alya I'll be back in 10 minutes" Navya went to have dinner.

"Manik se baat hui aapka?" Alya asked. "Nahi" she replied. "Nandini se" she asked again. "Nahi" Nyonika said. "Dono mein se kisi ek se tho baat karna hai aapko agar problem jaan na hai tho" Alya said. "Jaan ke kya faayda jab wo dono apne decisions already le liya tho" Nyonika sighed. "Meri wajhe se dono alag ho gaye and I should bring them together now" Alya made up her mind. "Aap bahut jald theek ho jaogi aunty and you'll see Nandini and Manik together soon" she assured. She gave an injection for Nyonika to sleep and waited till Navya came back.

"Thanks Alya, you can leave now I will take care of her" Navya said. "Yeah, I will be leaving" Alya said before she left. "Kuch bataya tumko?" Navya asked hoping for a positive reply. "Nahi but Manik se important kuch ho bhi nahi sakta aunty ke liye, wo yaha nahi hai tho ye sab ho raha hai" Alya said. "Then please ask him to come back" Navya suggested. "He isn't replying to texts or calls, aunty ke condition bhi nahi pata hai usko, she denied telling it to Manik" Alya said. "Pata nahi Manik sir kab wapas aayega and when she will be OK" Navya said and Alya left from there thinking about Manik and Nandini.

She saw Nandini. "Aryaman ke liye wait kar rahi ho?" she asked Nandini. "Yeah, I don't know what's taking too long for him!" Nandini said. Aryaman just came then. "Itni der kyu lagi?" Nandini asked. "Kuch nahi call aaya ghar se, Sanju is coming here, I'll drop you home by the time she comes" he said. "No no I'll take a cab then" Nandini said. "Aryaman, main hu na, I will drop her. Waise bhi nayi biwi ko hurt nahi karna chahiye" Alya teased him. "Yeah I will go with Alya" Nandini said. "At least mujhe time tho mila Nandini se baat karne ka" Alya thought.

"Dinner?" Alya asked Nandini. "Ghar jaana hai Alya chacha chachi wait karte honge mere liye" she said. "No Nandini I'm starving, how can I go and eat alone at least come for me" she pleaded. "OK, you are really making me do whatever you want these days" Nandini glared at her. "How easy would it be if life was like this earlier!" Alya said driving. "No Alya, few things don't change, time ke saath hum sirf adjust hote jaa rahe hai" Nandini said. "Are you saying that now you are adjusting yourself without Manik in your life?!" Alya asked straightly. "I didn't mean to take his name Alya" Nandini facial expressions changed all at once.

"Agar iske baare mein baat karna hai tho I will go home by myself" Nandini declared. "No, please don't. I was just asking" Alya said quickly and convinced Nandini for dinner. "Nandini ke saath aayi hai tho veg hi khaana padega" Alya said. "How is everything going?" Nandini asked her. "Good, life bahut hi unpredictable ho gaya hai but I'm liking it" she replied. "If everything goes as per the plan why is it called life!" Nandini said. Alya dropped her home after dinner.

"Mukti, please meri baat suno" Abhimanyu held her hand to stop her. "Aur kya sunaoge! What is left to listen to you?" she said angrily. "I don't know what Adithya said to you but it's not the truth" he said. "I never said that Adithya told me about Divya tumhe kaise pata chal gaya? So you know what he said" she said. "Please Mukti wo sach nahi hai" Abhimanyu tried to say. "Jhoot! Tumhara har baat jhoot hi hai, you have bet on me with Manik, you've lied to me about your flat, ye ghar ke baare mein bhi jhoot hi kaha tumne!" she said.

"Mukti, Divya is Adithya's twin sister. She loved me and I loved her too. Adithya and his family didn't approve of it. We've both decided to get married without her family consent. Adithya and his dad tried to stop her but it was too late as we were married by the time they came. They have disowned Divya. Unfortunately ussi din Divya aur mera accident hua tha, Divya died in the accident and I survived. Divya ke maut ke baare mein sunte hi uski mom bhi mar gayi thi, this made Adithya hate me so much that accused me of both of their death. Just because I married her, he claimed my flat belongs to her, I had to give up on it" Abhimanyu continued.

Tum dono hi milkar mujhe fasaya kyuki mere dad ke paas power aur paisa hai tho tumne mujhse shaadi kiya" Mukti is adamant on making her point understand him. She isn't ready to believe the truth.

"Nandu, aao khaana ready hai" chachi called her for dinner. "Main Alya ke saath bahar kha liya hai chachi" she said. She left from there. "Nandu nahi aa rahi hai kya?" chachu asked. "Nandini had her dinner with Alya" she said. "Nandu aaj kal utna active nahi hai na" she asked him. "Hume uspe shaadi ke liye pressure nahi karna chahiye tha" he said. "True, it's her life after all, she has rights to decide what is good for her. If she wants to study let her be happy with her career waqt hi sab decide karega" she said. "Do you remember! How small she was when she came to us, Anna ke accident ke baad jab usne humare paas aayi thi, theek se bol bhi nahi paati thi" he said smiling. "Haa pehli baar mujhe maa keh kar bulaya wo bhale hi mujhe chachi bulaye par main uski maa hi hu" she said with tears in her eyes. "Oh hello tumhe ab senti nahi hona hai, mujhe khaana lagao" he said to her. "Aap na kabhi moment create hi nahi karne denge" she complained.

Nandini came there. "Kya ho raha hai yaha?" she said coming near them. "Aise kaise tu ne dinner kar liya humare bina?" chachu asked her. "Chachu wo Alya ko company dene ke liye khaayi thi. Par chachi ne itni saari yummy dishes banaya tho mujhe bhi yaha aana pada" Nandini said. "Come have dinner with us too" chachi said.

"Hi uncle" Abhimanyu wished Shrikant. "Hi Abhi" he wished. "Nyonika ka condition kya hai?" he asked Abhimanyu. "Wahi hai uncle, kuch improvement nahi hai" he said. "Hum doctors sirf physically treatment de sakte hai but mental heal tho patient pe hi dependent hai" Shrikant said. "Itna kuch hua par Manik kyu nahi aaya?" Abhimanyu asked in doubt. "Jab usko pata chal jaye tho na! Nyonika ne mana kiya tha and he isn't even talking to me to talk about it. Waise bhi usse bata kar kya faayda, he isn't going to come and she isn't going to talk to him" he said. "But Manik should know about it. Aap nahi batana chahthe ho tho I will tell him" Abhimanyu said.

"I don't know why did he leave! But usse yaha aana hi hoga" Abhimanyu thought.
